Truthfully, I just felt in a giving mood yesterday. I had a really tough start to the day, and since it was hard to cheer myself up, I decided to just help someone else instead. There wasn't any ulterior motive or intention to my action. Just a minor gift of charity.

Avatar, without a doubt in my mind. It's complete crap, and I can't recommend it to literally anyone, even my enemies.

Again, that would be Avatar. It was overhyped, overrated, poorly made, and I can't name one redeeming quality for it outside of "it wasn't 10 hours long".

Probably playing video games and watching anime. I'm a rather simple man.

I don't have much opinion. People are idiots for letting this thing get to them. Even if there was a miscarriage of justice, this isn't the way to act.

Based on the first 20ish games of the season, who do you think will end up in what seed and why?

What is the one thing that you would want the most as a Christmas gift?

hmmm...

In the East...

1. Bulls - Deepest team in the East, and I think Derrick Rose will get better (and play more) as the season goes on. When he's on his game, this team will be hard to beat.
2. Cavaliers - Starting to come alive, and realistically, are probably the best team in the East right this second. It's really 1A and 1B at this point, and think both are interchangeable. They will meet with the Bulls in the Conference Finals.
3. Wizards - Still a great looking team. Really love how they play basketball.
4. Raptors - Think right now, they are smoke and mirrors. They are good, but not this good. Easy matchups have given them the best record, but doubt that lasts.
5. Hawks - No real reason. Think they are a playoff team, but will start and end their second season on the road.
6. Heat - I think they are slightly better than they've shown. Growing pains in Miami.
7. Bucks - Surprise team to make the playoffs, likely. Did not see them looking so good, but when you have the Greek Freak on your team, why not?
8. Celtics - Still think they will turn it around and sneak in as the 8 seed over the Nets.

West

1. Warriors - I already liked them as a top 4 team, and now, I think they are the best team in the NBA. They play basketball really well and are a joy to watch.
2. Trailblazers - No reason for them over the 3 seed, think they are more or less interchangeable.
3. Rockets - Really good team, with very few weaknesses. Have to regret not getting Bosh.
4. Spurs - Don't think they are done in the West, think they are still a Finals contender.
5. Clippers - With no Sterling, maybe this time, we'll see a fun Clippers team play deep into the postseason.
6. Grizzlies - Like the Raptors, I honestly think they are smoke and mirrors right now.
7. Mavericks - And they play hard enough that no matter who they face, they'll be a tough beat.
8. Thunder - Early injuries hurt them, but I think they can still squeeze in if they play well.

I'm loving how fast it moves, and how well integrated it is with everything else... the only complaint I have really, is the lack of MP3 support, because unless you pay for Music Unlimited, you are without music on the PS4, and need to stream it from elsewhere.

I haven't yet played many games. I only own MLB 14 the Show, Shadow of Mordor, Last of Us, GTA V, and Dragon Age: Inquisition. I just got DA:I today, and so far, have only played the Show. Ask me again in a year when I'll have played a dozen or two games.

I do enjoy giveaways, because it gives me a chance to give back to the community in small ways, plus it gives my AA (my favorite thread) slightly more activity than usual.

How do you think the Rondo trade will affect both the Celtics and the Mavericks, both short term and long term.

Short term, the obvious thing to note, is this makes the Mavericks one of the best teams in the West. Rondo is hard to coach, but they have enough talent that I don't think it will matter until they get to the playoffs.

For the Celtics, obviously, this looks like it will hurt them, so they are officially out of the playoff race... or are they?

The pieces they got back for Rondo are more... complimentary. I've never liked Rondo a lot, he is a ball hog, he gets in his teammates way, and he just prevents any team he's on from being all that good, unless he's the 3rd or so best player on the team...

I think with Rondo gone, the Celtics will actually play... better. They are 9-14, and in the weak East... I still think I have them sliding into that number 8 seed. They are only a half game out of it now, with a good 59 games to go.

Season isn't over yet, and with the young guys getting a chance to be THE guy, I think the Celtics will actually play better... with a chance to finish the season at very close to .500.

Long term, this is great for the Celtics, not so much for the Mavericks. The Mavs are giving up a first and a second round pick for a player who might not even sign with them in the offseason. If the Mavs don't win this year (they won't) or they don't get Rondo back for next season, then they just traded away a good draft pick, and two young players who could be of use as role players for basically nothing.

The biggest advantage for the Celtics here isn't getting back Wright, Crowder, or even Nelson, or the first round pick... their big deal is now they can give Marcus Smart the minutes he deserves at a crucial time... the Celtics might make the playoffs, but they can't make contending their #1 priority for this season. Their #1 priority has to be getting Smart on top of his game, so he can take over for when it matters.

And for the record, I think Smart is loads better than Rondo. I also think this trade backfires on the Mavericks.

All told, it was a great deal for the Celtics. It may not look like one, since they gave up the "best player" in the deal, but there is a reasonable possibility that the player they draft with the Mavs pick (they now have a ridiculous number of first round picks the next few years) will be better than Rondo anyway (he's way overrated).

The New England Patriots. I live in New England, so you can probably figure out how that goes for me. I hated them growing up, and that hatred still extends to this day.

Like The Crew? I think they are pretty neat in theory, but are usually too light in gameplay for me to be ok with them. Give me one that has solid and fun gameplay and I'll change my tune.

What were your New Years resolutions?

My New Year's Resolutions are more or less to just get back in shape (common) and to enjoy life more. Nothing special or anything.

I don't eat at McDonald's because their food tastes like s***. So no opinion.

Nothing really. I expect to get older, I expect to more or less live where I do now, and I expect my grandmother to constantly let my cat out despite my protests over the matter.

More or less, I expect life to remain the same.
