Overboard! PS1 Review
Overboard! PS1 Review

This is a game I also love. I played it on the ps1 demo disc many years ago. Then along the line after I got to play the game again. Its really fun and addicting too. :)

Story: This game doesn't really have a story. Its an adventure game, but if you want to know your mission is to go and attack other pirate ships also steal things took like treasures. Also you get to explore other places as well.

Graphics 8 out of 10: The graphics is extremely colourful. It has a day, and night mode as well. You get to see what the houses look like which I find pretty funny. There will be some other graphics of the game you will get to see. I like how it is because it gives off that pirate feel even the map as well when you look at it. I don't go out of my way to play pirate games so this is the first one I've played. I think the graphics was the one pulled me in more to play since it was cool to look at.

Sound 8 out of 10: Overboard has amazing soundtracks. I remember as soon as the game came up and with the first music it got me going into playing. Its worth listening too, and I guarantee you won't get bored of the music. Here is a link to one of my favourite music to give you a small taste, its from the first level.

Addictiveness 8 out of 10: Its really addictive I mean who wouldn't want to take down ships and gain a lot of goodies as well? Which is what the game is really about you will have so much fun playing it to the point, that goes on for hours.

Difficulty 7 out of 10: There is easy mode, medium and hard mode as well. I suggest doing the easy mode first if it would be your first time playing the game. So then it will get a little harder as you push into it more. When you feel comfortable enough to go into medium and hard mode then try it out. I guess if you are an expert on the game, you would go into hard mode straight away.

Depth 7 out of 10: There is some depth. You'll get to collect things needed for when you go to other places in overboard, and raiding other pirate's home spot taking their things too. Also you can recruit more pirates to your ship from the enemy when they attack you and you see an enemy pirate fall into the water surf to them to grab them before they drown. You get to face boss pirate ships so watch out on that. For the game you can play on levels so that should keep you busy to play. There is a single player mode and mulitplayer mode which can go up to 5 players.

Overall 8 out of 10: Overboard is a great game to play, not one of the popular ones out there, but still great. I suggest you give it a try I am sure if you like anything that is fun and pirate this would be the game for you. I came to playing Overboard from the PS1 demo disc many years ago. That is how I came about knowing about this awesome game.

I hope you enjoyed my review. I will be back with another one really soon. ^-^
