Golden Eye 007 [Wii] Review By Barathemos

James Bond...
James Bond returns in Golden Eye 007 for the Wii!
Overall: 9.6
The extraordinary series of Golden Eye 007, starting with the original game Golden Eye 007  for the N64 returns better then ever in this new game for the Wii! Coming in with great ratings and reviews, I am happy to be reviewing this game! Not only have I played this game's story mode and loved it, but I have also loved to play the multi player modes! With single player mode, also known as story mode, 2 player - 4 player vs mode, and the famed online mode, you will have tons of different ways to play with your favorite movie star, James Bond. You will go through many levels playing as Bond in Russia along with the allies that you meet along the way. You meet up with different secret agents as you make your way through the levels to finally take down the Russians, soviet union. The game includes many aspcts that all add up to a wonderful game! With many characters to play as, many guns to shoot with, and many levels to play at, Bond shows you some of the most fun you will get out of a 1st person shooter game, that actually has a story! For a T first person shooter, Nintendo does an outstanding job portraying the life of Bond as he takes on Russia alone with few agents at his side. For a game that was just a game that was brought back on a newer system, Nintendo was able to make it different enough to just make it the way we Bond fans like it. With many ways to play, many people to play as, and amazing aspects, the game is overall amazing. 9.6

Graphics: 10
Oh yeah. One of the best parts of any first person shooter, and one of the most important. When playing a first person shooter, you want to be able to see what is happening in great detail, and in all of the James Bond games, whether from 1999-2014 show that this was one of the characteristics that they paid the most attention too. With accurate pictures and not fuzzy pixels, Activision paints a good picture of what the world looked like for Bond. I play the game on a really bad TV, and am still able to say how amazing the graphics for the game are. You can tell the difference between the background and real objects from a long way away, so that you can be sure of what you are shooting and will not be wasting any amo just shooting at nothing. Also, you can see a huge difference between the first one and this one. In Golden Eye 007 for the N64, the faces were all messed up and it was funny to look at, but now the faces actually look normal, and like real faces. That is a huge improvement in the graphics section and something that I really like to praise about this game. Guns in this game are also very amazing for the game. The guns are made in great detail and were paid a lot of attention too when making the game. You can actually see what the gun actually is (real life name) just by looking at the picture. The details that were put into this game were amazing. Also, when it comes to moving objects, they move perfectly. Nothing ever seems to mess up the path or glitch in the system. You see every object moving through the air perfectly. The game just has an overall great graphics sector. 10

Sound: 10
The sound in this game... is amazing. Every little thing is perfect. Lets start out with the first thing that you will hear when you open up the game,
Opening sound: Wii Menu sound. Activision put the right theme in there, as the music has already hooked you into the game, and it makes you want to play more. Second, is the music that plays during the opening, which is the Bond theme as you look through a scope and are shot at. That music has always been good, and was improved by better quality in this game. Next up is the menu sound, which is just like all of the other opening sound, nice and smooth.
Game sound: What did they do so correctly? the music always goes with the stage no matter what song it is and no matter what stage you are in. The music makes a good compliment for what you are doing in the level, killing people and taking over/ blowing up your assigned spot. The music is always in the background so you can hear your missions over the background music.
Multi player sound: The music here is almost the same as the game sound, but with a little extra added to it. You get a ton of different sound verities that you can hear the other player's gun and your gun over, making it easier.
Multiplayer sound: Has the sound of the other players and everything in it, which goes quite well.
Gun Sounds: The sounds of firing are smooth, fast, and uninterrupted. You get a clean sound, and is the sound guns really make.
Overall, the sound in this game is really nice and compliments the way that you are playing, and the game that you are playing. 10

Addictiveness: 10
This game is really addicting, when you aren't losing left and right. The pressure of running around in Russia when everyone there is your enemy, really keeps you going, and is a good source of power to keep playing the game. I have played the game for hours on end, rarely even stopping. I have completed the game a few times, and every time I strive to do it better. I do speed run a few of the levels, and I really like doing that against other players on the internet to see how good I actually am at the game, which really isn't all that great. You want to keep killing people, and want to advance through level after level. There are a few slow points in the game, but they just make you want to kill people more! After playing the game for a very long time, you want to just take a break. But after a while, you get the urge to go kill more people, making you get back on to the game, and play for more time. It is a really great game to play if you want to play shooting for a long time. I give the addictiveness on Golden eye, a 10.

Story: 10
The story in this game is really thought out, and quite like the first Golden eye. First of all, you mission is like all of the other Golden Eye games, to take down Russia by defeating their army. It is a really cool, and quite real scenario. It is played out mostly like the first one, but there is one major difference. That is that  006, Traylin, escapes the facility in the first golden eye, but in this one, he is shot by the Russians and killed in the Facility. All of the levels were made longer, and much better. They added story line, not real story, but more missions to do. You are to blow up many places and make your way to destroying the Russians. Because of how in depth the story is in this game, not just how close it is to the first one but also how different, is why I give the story a 10.

Depth: 10
There is a lot to do in this game, and I mean a lot. The levels are really long, like, 20-50 minutes long. You take a long time to play those, so that you can say that you have completed the game, but you also have multipal saves files so that you can play the game in a ton of different ways. You can use different guns for each level, or just flat out do it a different way, but either way you will have a ton of fun. Now, after you have completed the story mode a few times, you can also play multi player with your friends so that you can get practice going against each other. After you have mastered your way of playing, you can then make the dangerous journey to online play, a magical world with players with all different skill sets. You can do this forever in order to become a perfect player of the game and world class!

Difficulty: 7
Time for the one section I didn't want to do as it is the only bad category, difficulty. This game is HARD. And I mean really hard. You have to play each level at least a few times to get used to playing it and to be able to do everything right without dying. With any first person shooters, it takes a really long time to get used to the game, and it can sometimes get really really annoying, and make you want to stop. Just as soon as you have the thought that you want to stop, you have the urge to just get on and play again and try the level over again. It takes a while to get used to the game, but you do get it eventually. Its not that the controls are hard, it is that the game is hard. Even if you have the controls down, you will never know what is around the next corner, which makes it very hard. With many people against you, and only you to kill them, it really can't get much harder. I have never done the game on 007 agent correctly, but I keep trying. With all of how hard it is out of the way this is still an amazing game. That is it, 7 for difficulty.

I hope you enjoyed this review, and I hope it motivated you to get the game! It isn't all that expensive.
