Have A Nice Fall..... Out   zanderlex
For a while, Fallout has been on pretty good terms with me. I played Fallout 3 a lot and I have both 3 and New Vegas on Steam but when I found out about the really special Fallout 4 bundle for PS4, I knew that I had to get it and the day after I bought my PS4 I was playing it. I told myself that I was going to test the game out for a while and then start a real game later on when I wasn't at my friends house but by the time I left, my friend and I had already played for a good 10 hours and I knew that I had done way too much to just start over so I decided to keep it like that and I built up my awesome fallout camp. Plus theres a dog so it's not like you can argue against anything because you have a dog. I'd say this dog is one of the best video game animal companions I ever had, it gets you items, finds enemies, does everything dog related. That's actually one of the reasons that I ended up liming the game so much, having that dog by my side made everything so much easier and so much more fun as well.
GRAPHICS 9/10
The graphics are really good, theres so much detail on everything and it looks really clear also. All of the creatures have cool designs as well and that's a plus but the graphics doesn't really go beyond that. It's awesome simply because it looks awesome and that's all you need. The colors and detail make the game come to life and my grade for the graphics aspect will be a 9 out of 10.
SOUND 7/10
The sound is good, the voice acting combines with the sound effects make the game feel and sound great. As for the voices, its all spectacular, each character has some great lines and sound clear and loud and then when you add the regular effects of fun shots or VAT loading make it feel like a horror game. There have been times where I'm walking around doing my own things and then I hear a gunshot off in the distance and I'm suddenly alert and spooked at the same time because that sound means that at a moments notice, something can jump out at me. If the sound can have that much of an effect on you, then it means that it's doing it's job and overall for all the little sounds and stuff, this aspect gets a 7 out of 10 for a grade.
ADDICTIVENESS 10/10
It's Fallout for Pete sake, you already know that its going to be a fun game. If I had to say what the game is like, I would have to say its like if Minecraft and The Walking Dead merged into one game and then took steroids. It's a survival game that's both more horror and more story as well and a game that has such a big world and has all those different aspects is bound to be fun. Not to mention who doesn't love exploring? You get all these fun locations to scavenge through and die in. (Like the supermarket, please, don't go in there.) If you are a fan of the series, theres no doubt that you will find something that you like about it, and because of that, my grade for addictiveness is going to be a perfect 10 out of 10.
STORY 8/10
Like all Fallout games, it takes place in a wasteland. It starts out with you, your spouse, and your baby escaping your house during the fallout to go into a place that you believe is an underground living area that turns out to be just a place where you're frozen. Long story short, your spouse gets killed, and your baby gets taken away, and you don't like the world that you wake up in. The character eventually finds clues that the baby is alone and sets out to find them alongside completing various tasks. It's a huge game, open world, and you can do the story literally hundreds if different ways so I'm not going to give out too much about one thing and have someone else do something else. Its good though, and it's especially good because if the freedom to complete the game however you want so the grade for story will be an 8 out of 10.
DEPTH 10/10
Two words. Open World Game. Okay, maybe that was three words but you get the point. Just the map alone makes up a huge portion of the depth and by huge, I mean a massive world with giant land areas and big cities and towns for you to explore on all sides. What is there to do? You can explore all the stores, houses, and buildings. You can kill various of enemies, advance your way through an intense level system, and scavenge for more items than you can think of. Not to mention you can build all sorts of things, create your own house and city even, and even wear a giant mech suit!!! Theres so much to do and explore that I'm all but positive that dozens of hours wont even be near what you need to play for in order to get the full experience of the game. The game offers you so much, and for that, this aspect gets another perfect 10 out of 10.
DIFFICULTY 6
Yes, the game can be hard at times but the difficulty for the most part is all up to you because theres only one thing that makes the game difficult and that's whether or not you have any ammo on you. If you have ammo with you, you are fine because all you need to do is fire at whoever is trying to kill you and if you are lucky, you will get out of whatever mess you got yourself into with just a slight loss of health. However, if you don't have any bullets, then you need to run away as fast as you can and make sure that you pray for mercy because once you run out of bullets if can be really hard to find bullets that match your gun and even harder to fight with your fists of a melee weapon, especially against some of the creatures. That is why ammo is so important to your survival and eh you must make sure that you never run out of it, which will actually happen a lot, but if you stay prepared, then you should be able to face all the dangers of the game with barely any troubles and for that, the grade for difficulty is going to be a 6.
OVERALL 9/10
Overall, Fallout 4 is one of the best PS4 games that you can get your hands on, and if you are either a fan of the Fallout series or open world survival games like this one, then you can easily find happiness from playing it. Of the dozen or so games that I have right now for the PS4, I have to say that this game is the 3rd best of them all, maybe 2nd. If you are already a fan, then you have played the game already, but if you aren't, then you should give it a chance. I love it and mg overall grade for this game is going to be a 9 out of 10.

Fallout 4 Welcome Home   TristanTehGamer1
Fallout 4 is a game me and many Fallout fans alike waited so long for, so here i am to bring you my review of this game after the playing non stop
Graphics: Bethesda's games never were graphical showcases they were more about the gameplay and immersion. The game uses an updated version of the Creation Engine which is the engine that runs Skyrim and Elder Scrolls Online. Compared to the past Fallout games it is like night and day how good the graphics are but critics say the game doesnt look "next gen enough" even though the games looks great already but if graphics had to suffer for the game to run as smooth as it does then i am fine with it.
Sound:
Music: The ambient soundtrack composed by Inon Zur is fantastic and way better than his previous works for Fallout 3. The ambient soundtrack really feels like he gave it his all to make it sound as phenomenal as it does. The radio soundtrack is alright most of its songs are from Fallout 3 and dont have a lot of new songs and the radio dj is boring and unbearable compared to Three Dog from Fallout 3 and it feels the same five songs are repeated so i probably havent heard the whole soundtrack but i always find myself turning off the radio to listen to the ambient music or using the Spotify app for music.
Voices: Unlike Fallout 3 and New Vegas where every NPC sounded the same, in Fallout 4 it feels like each NPC has a voice actor and brings a bit of immersion into the world
Environment: each little thing has its own unique sound and the growls of mutated animals and the crack of a hunting rifle sound so good and it makes me feel like im in the wasteland.
Addictiveness: the game has plenty to do and a huge wasteland to explore so you will be sucked in
Story: this is the weak part of the game, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas had very boring stories and Fallout 4's stoory is boring but not as boring as the others.
The game starts on the day before te bombs fell and you are greeted by Vault Tec and told you and your family has reservations to the local Vault. Bombs fall and you and your family gotta run to the vault and your family gets into the vault the second the bomb that devastates Boston hits and you and your family are frozen into cryo sleep. Years pass some raiders thaw you out and take your kid and you are frozen and randomly thawed out again and now set out to find your infant son. Think of Fallout 3's story but switched around and less boring.
Depth: The game improves from the past Fallout games and brings a lot more to the table.
Quests: The story sucks but the game has many side quests to do after the main story to keep you busy.
Crafting/Cooking:
Weapons: the new weapons crafting system allows you to add attachments to your weapons and you change every little thing on your gun and you can rename your gun. You can turn a small hunting rifle into a full-fledged sniper rifle.
Armor: Unlike the past Fallout games where you can pick up a full set of armor, in this game armor has individual pieces. Lets say i kill a raider and loot him, if he has armor it may pop up like "Leather Armor Right Leg" then the only piece of armor i have is for one leg. I can go to an armor workbench and upgrade it to make the armor stronger than it is
Scavenge Workbench: i havent used this yet but i think it lets you craft ammo and custom weapons (if im wrong please correct me)
Cooking: The cooking is similar to Skyrim cooking but i dont think there are not many recipes.
Settlements: Settlements is a new feature inspired by the Wasteland Defense mod in New Vegas and another mod that i cant remember, but many areas like raider settlements you can take over and rebuild to your liking and set up a beacon to let others in your settlement but it gets more complex than that. Your settlements need you to have farms, electricity, water and defenses so they are certain thing you need to craft these itens such as: Copper, adhesive, wire, etc. Random junk in the wasteland has all these materials which are also need to craft weapon attachments and armor stuff so it is not like the other fallout games where random junk such as a tin can was useless, everything has a use. Settlements can have problems such as ghouls and raider settlements that you need to get rid of and settlements can get attack randomly. You can also have caravans come to your settlements and you can craft shops.
Holotape games:There are holotape games in the wasteland to find but i dont know how many; the holotape games can be loaded in your pip boy or a terminal to play and are parodies of games like missile command and donkey kong.
Exporation: The game has many places to go and the wasteland isnt really empty like Fallout 3 and New Vegas
Factions: The factions are god awful and not very interesting unlike the factions in New Vegas or Fallout 3
The Minutemen: Similar to the Minutemen from the 1700's if you join them you respond to troubles other settlements have that arent yours
Brotherhood of Steel: Boring compared to the Brotherhood in past Fallouts it feels as if they are just around because ts Fallout
The Institute: Guys somewhere who make robots that kill people and create scientific advances
Difficulty: The games is a bit more of challenge combat wise. Lets say you go up against raiders, they could either have many and can overwhelm you or are too strong to defeat. Other than that the game isnt really hard
Overall: This game is fantastic, but it does have bugs but other than that the game isnt that bad and is worth your $60
