I tried using the GTS but people just want either a legendary or a mon that I don't even know how to get a hold of without going from another game. Hey guys! I hope all of you are enjoying the newest gen! I wanted to start a thread about breeding because I'm quite new to the whole thing.  I've already done some reading up on independent values (IVs) and some other basic info needed to breed.  Was has worked for you guys? What hasn't worked for you guys? Any tips for a newbie? Would any of you like to trade some of your bred Pokémon?

I would have to say Mega Blazekin.  The event torchic is already very overpowered, and with the addition of a mega evolution, it just looks awesome and is so powerful.

You are almost at the top: only 1 point to go... but then the secret organization, the Vizzuminati, steal all your account information just for the sake of gaining your Viz and for having another pawn in the forums.  As you lie crying in your bed you decide you will not sit idly by and watch the Vizzuminati take what isn't theirs.  You train hard for 3 days, preparing yourself by playing Goldeneye 007 and dry-cleaning your best suit.  You google search their base and luckily it comes up.  Taking a cab all the way to New York City, you fight your way up the Empire State building only to have a final showdown with Vizzuminati's leader, the Nazi Red who has the power to control animals. After going through an onslaught of bears and lions you come out bloodied and and heavily wounded, but you can still stand; you can still fight.  You rise up taking aim with the only weapon you have left, the spear of destiny, and let loose.  The Nazi Red is struck in the eye and burst into glorious flames of victory.  You go to his terminal and change your password just in time to make one last post saying, "I won."  You bleed out with a smile on your face and a champion of the Tour De Vizzed.

I would definitely have to say Magneto. He kind of started off as just the kind of "insert here" villain, but thank goodness to the contemporary artists he has become more of a fleshed out villain with complexity that no other character can really feel the role as. Experiencing the holocaust as a boy, an annihilation encouraged by the hatred and fear of a distinct group, Magneto only attempts to do the same before the humans succeed in destroying the mutants.  Ultimately though, Magneto's actions can be justified; he just doesn't want his people to be subjugated so seeks to hit first.

The saddest death for me was the death of Nicholas D. Wolfwood. Great guy!! Oh, so sad...

My favorite upcoming Pokémon would have to be Goomy.  Oldie though goes to Dragonite.

The most confusing for me would have to be Guilty Crown.  It starts off pretty good: nice character development, great action and cool concepts.  Then half way through the anime the mood completely shifts in an opposite direction, the protagonist starts behaving completely different, and his foil does something completely unexpected (and not in a good sense). The end ties it up together, but middle is just weird and it made me feel pretty uncomfortable.

I'm currently watching Hellsing Ultimate.  However, a recent favorite would have to be Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on TItan).

Generation VI of Pokémon is only 5 days away!!! What are you guys planning on choosing as your starter? Also how do y'all feel about some of the rumors going around

0ddie :  I believe there are other life forms out in space. However, whether or not they are intelligent life forms is a totally different question. If they were there, wouldn't we have seen them by now? Especially if they have the ability of intergalactic travel, right? If they are that advanced though, wouldn't they hide their tracks if they didn't want to be found? Let's not jump the gun on these questions though.
  These questions are probably looked at best through an empirical lens.  Unfortunately, there are things you could consider "evidence" like photographs and audio files, but no good way to test any feasible hypothesis. Also, if you look at it through the Principle of Mediocrity, we humans are the average of the universe.  With that being said, I don't think it would be too far of a stretch to say that there could be other life forms in the universe (probably even in the galaxy) that are at the same level of development or higher. Then again, I'm being very optimistic though.

Mega Mewtwo X : The logical choice is definitely Mario. However, because I do pride myself on my pokemon, I would say Pikachu.

I think to truly get the most out of life you need to have both respect and be liked. It's extremely advantageous to be respected by people (professors, bosses, family, friends, etc.), but there is the other side of things were being liked would have more benefits than respect. Friends won't care to hang out with me if they don't like me. Heck, if no one likes me, than I may not have friends at all.  As John Locke said, "[m]an is by nature a social animal."  The point is that they both open up opportunities, and depending on the way you see life (i.e. "I need a good job so I can be successful in my future" or "I want to have people that I care about and care about me; that's what I consider success") is going to determine how much you use of each. 

Awesome-Kid : I think it works out really well for the feel of the forum as and community a whole.  When you go to almost any other site that allows free response like this there are usually debates, and those can easily turn into insulting matches with zero respect fairly quickly. Being family friendly, this site not only blocks out the swearing, flaming, etc., but it also encourages helpful and friendly community through the use mutual respect.
