It's Melee with more characters (6 really isn't enough)
Redundant moves like warlock punch made into useful moves.
Literally everyone is balanced after over 4 years of dev and testing.
Took some good things from brawl like tethering and DACUS.
IKE CLIMBERS



Plus everything that made Melee so competitive in the first place.

Fast speeds, comboing potential, favoring of offensive play, high amounts of technical skill, and so much to take into consideration in actual gameplay from wavedashing to DI'ing.


Everything else in comparison just pales to it, really it does.

Oh boy here we go.



My overall opinion of sm4sh have varied greatly over the last few months, but I think I've finally came to a conclusion.



To start, compared to it's predecessor Melee, I have to say the gameplay is more simply made and focuses on dealing actual damage to you opponent instead of setting up good combos. It's difficult if not impossible to extend combos beyond 2 or 3 moves (even with a good degree of predictability of the opponent's moves.) forcing you to play a good nip/tuck stratigy as many characters, especially Jigglypuff with her low altitude N-air game, and Toon link's projectile fest.


The simplicity that was brought with brawl is still most certainly there, but the game isn't a horridly broken and hit-stun from Melee has returned to some degree. The real love-hate relation ship with this game I have is the lack of tech skill. No SHFFL'ing, wavedashing, L-canceling, DI'ing, moon walking, or DACUS, (for PM players anyway) Edgeguarding is very very difficult to do in sm4sh if at all possible because the ledge literally SUCKS YOU IN. and it favors more of a defensive playstyle.

The lack of necessary tech skill does make the game more open to newbies to the smash world, but this also closes more options and variables to take into account.

But this within lies the beauty of the game, it simple but not to simple, there is strategy, and it's literally an completely different game with different characters in a different (way more floaty) physics engine.

I like them both, but long term PM/Melee is better. Sm4sh will keep up going for at least 5 years though.

That's another topic all on it's own, but tl:dr you have every right to judge me, and attempt to correct of my erroneous logic as long as you don't break any of the written rules in the process. After like 6 months on the site you should, (if you're reasonable) be in the same "tier" as most other members except a mod/staff member in his/her own playground.

If God really exsists, then it is A) proven and B) would remove any necessity for belief in fairy tales.

Sure some of the biblical accounts cannot be proven, but it doesn't really matter if it's true or not because we are just suppose to extract the lesson for our every-day lives.

I throughly enjoyed the first movie in the series, CGI just got good, and the massive landscapes and scenes were utterly amazing. The hair textures were great, the water, dragon scales, it almost looked sub-real.

The plot was cliched in some fashons, but it was hidden well enough on my first watching of the movie that I have to give credit where it is due. The Characters were good, and acted /fairly/ realistically.

It was definitely worth the time spent watching the film, it was the last good movie I've seen before Frozen.


the second film however...

I loved the animation, I loved the areas, and the CGI was even better than the first.

But the story just felt like a bad fanfic really. Hiccup's mom came out of nowhere, and the the dragons let along the giant one. The ultimate form of toothless. *disgusted sigh*

Oh yeah and the big push for "peace" that came out of nowhere, it was a lot more hidden in the first film, and made sense, but their's a time for war and a time for piece. and hiccup's actions cost him his father.

If something is contradictory toward your perception of reality, find out where the issue lies, and then compare it to reality.

One should follow reality, not blindly follow some magical fairy tale that think will take you to a happy place when you die. It must be ground in truth, it must be ground in facts, and it must be ground in logic, without this you're just dreaming. Following something you clearly have no solid idea in what it is. People will ask you questions, and all you can say is "Jesus loves you" and can make reality any way he wants. They will just shake their heads and walk off, and you won't "save" anyone, if you can't first prove that you're sane. Pearls before swine.

And darth, yes evolution exists; macro evolution, the other 5 forms of it doesn't and never will (Cosmic, Chemical, Stellar, Organic, and Macro-evolution)

Well..

I lost in the quarter finals today in the "for glory" pacific west smash tournament.

I would have done better had I not tried Jigglypuff before dropping into the losers bracket... I played my second round (after beating a little mac n00b in the first) against pink (bubble gum) pit and lost as jigs and was two stocked. After that I tried Toon link and /barely/ lost to the other player.

After that I made it all the way to quarter finals in the losers bracket murdering the competition with two stocks, and owning them the entire way... just to loose to a guy training to play in EVO. I lost badly in the first round, but was only 60% behind at the end of the second round. I was really impressed by how good he was.

There were about 50 players total, so being in the top 8 (prolly top 4 had I not lost early on) is a good thing I guess.

BTW this was Wii U singles.
