It costs a small amount of Viz to reply to or create threads but it's usually made up for and then some by the Viz you earn from the post or thread. It all comes down to word count and a couple of other factors. You also lose a little Viz for every title you buy in the RGR before playing it, so there's that, too. More than anything, it's to try to promote activity on the boards.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
