Introduction

Mr. Burns has bought out the Springfield Transit system leaving the citizens without a mode of transportation leaving you as the transportation person. Your goal is to pick up passengers and drop of passengers within the time limit (If road rage mode is selected) to earn money which can be used to unlock new areas and new vehicles.

-----------
How to play
-----------

Gamecube controls:

A=Gas.

B does nothing outside of the Main menu (and the other screens) I believe (If any of you know if B does anything in game please let me know and I'll update it)

X= Back you up/brake.

Y=Shows the car from the front to back instead of back to front.

Z=Resets your car position. Useful if your running low on time and you get caught in a pickle.

L and R do nothing (If these buttons have a purpose please let me know and I'll update it)

Joystick=Moves the car.

C-stick (The yellow joystick) does nothing.

Start=Pause the game.

Xbox controls:

I would assume they would have the same layout as the gamecube controller since it is similar looking but am not sure and would appreciate it if someone who's played this version sent me the control layout (It can be a PM or a reply to this thread, whatever floats your boat)

PS2:

Again, don't know the controller layout but am assuming it's the same as the gamecube and Xbox versions but am not sure so a list of controls would be nice (Again, it can be a PM or a reply to this thread)

Your goal is to pick up passengers and drop them off at their destinations within the time limits.

-----------------
Rewards (In game)
-----------------

Depending on how fast you drop off a passenger you get an extra reward in addition to the regular money earned from driving around with the passenger and from dropping them off. They are as follows.

Fast trip: $100+3 seconds

Normal Trip: $50+1 seconds

Slow trip: $25

Avoid Traffic: $250+5 seconds if you avoid cars (Hitting one or two cars does not affect the bonus. Hitting three does)

Road Rage : Destroy objects such as trees to earn a bonus. If you destroy the amount it tells you and you are able to drop off the passenger you will get a $1000 dollar bonus plus five seconds added to the timer.

-------------------------
Rewards (Outside of game)
-------------------------

If you reach certain amount of money after completing road rage mode you can get a new vehicle or a new course. The money needed is below.

$1,000

$10,000

$30,000

$75,000

$100,000

$125,000

$150,000

$200,000

$250,000

$300,000

$400,000

$500,000

$600,000

$700,000

$800,000

$900,000

$1,000,000 (End of game movie is unlocked)

The end of game game movie features Mr. Burns at his desk announcing his defeat but that his evil ways are not over.

------------
Sunday drive
------------

Once you select your character and starting map, Sunday drive begins. There is no time limit and no money earned as in road rage mode but you can still pick up passengers if you'd like. This mode is really for the people who are inexperienced or want to scope out the courses.

---------------------------
Springfield Dam money trick
---------------------------

If you do the Springfield Dam with Professor Frink on Hard mode you can get easy money. First, pick up Apu (Or whoever wants to go to K Radio0 and drop them off at K Radio then go straight to the dam picking up no one. Once you reach the dam, pick up the person on the dam and take them to Rancho Relaxo by driving off the dam for a shortcut that you MUST use. Once they are dropped off, go to the jackknifed semi in the barn and pick up the person closest to the shortcut you came up earlier and they will want to go to the TNT shack. Drop them off there but be very careful and DO NOT pick up Mayor Quimby or whoever is at the TNT shack. Just drive in very slowly and you'll drop them off without registering the passenger there. Head back to the dam and pick up the Rancho Relaxo passenger again, take the shortcut, drop them off and then pick up the TNT shack passenger again, drop them off by going in slowly and then repeating until you accidentally pick up the stone cutters passenger or until you run out of time.

This trick has been changed. There is another way to earn easy money in the Springfield Dam. It's the same s above except two things have changed and this is still done on hard mode btw. Select Road Rage mode, chose Homer and then the Springfield Dam. Pick up the person who wants to go to K-Radio and drop them off. Don't pick up any passengers and head straight to the dam and pick up the Rancho Relaxo passenger and then drive off the side of the da for a shortcut. Drop them off and then pick up the left most passenger by the jackknifed semi in the barn (he should ask to go to Quimby's Manson) and take the shortcut again but this time we will be driving up the side of the dam, not down (be careful and don't drive too fast up the dam or else you'll overshoot although it's not big deal as there is a way to Quimby's Manson from the water) Drop him off and go back to the dam and pick up the Rancho Relaxo passenger again and drop him off using the same directions as above. Pick up the left most passenger again and take him and drop him off at Quimby's Manson again using the same directions as earlier and then repeat this for as long as you want. Not much has changed except for a change in driver and a passenger you'd be picking up but what makes this better than the previous solution above is that you don't have to worry about accidentially picking up the stonecutters guy because you went too far in. By using Quimby's Manso, you won't have to worry about accidentally picking anyone up (and it's hard to unless you're basically right on top of the Manson)

------------
Mission Mode
------------

There are ten missions available. The first one has you playing as Willy in that you need to knock down twelve newspaper stands. The second one has you driving as Bart in which you must take Homer back to the power plant without getting caught by Mr. Burns. If you do get hit, the mission is over and you have to restart. The third mission has you driving as Barney. You must run over twelve mascots to pass the mission. The fourth mission has you driving as otto. You must knock over fifteen streetlights as part of otto's driving test. The fifth mission has you knocking over twenty barrels of nuclear waste as part of snake's community service. The sixth mission has you playing as Grandpa Simpson knocking over twelve garbage cans as he thinks they are out to get him. Mission seven has you driving Mayor Quinby to city hall to patent Professor Frinks hover car before Mr. Burns can destroy it. You have thirty-five seconds. Mr. Burns and Smithers appear three quarters if the way there and if they hit you, you are unlikely to finish the mission. Mission eight has you driving as Lisa to knock over 8 piles of wood (three wood in a pile equaling twenty-four wood total as eight times three equals twenty-four) Mission nine has you playing as Krusty in which you need to knock down fifteen signs that lead to his house. The tenth and final mission has you playing as Homer in which you need to knock down twenty statues in Burn's garden. Some statues are made up of two or more pieces. Be careful of Mr. Burns.

------------
Head to Head
------------

Basically a two player version of road rage mode. You select how much money you need to win, the characters and the location. Springfield Dam and Springfield Mountains are unavailable. Players can also bash into the other to steel a passenger.

-------
Options
-------

Here you can load another game file, view high scores, change the game difficulty, view the ending movie and the credits plus some other things.

And that includes this short guide of The Simpsons road rage. If there is anything that I misssed or you want to contribute something than please feel free to PM me or post it here.

Davideo7: Is there anything special you can do with this since it's the first and so far only walkthrough for this game?
