My rig is pretty sweet and I've put a lot of work into it. For a base, I have a Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5200. I upgraded from Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit to a pirated copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit after the HDD died, which I've replaced twice. I've got the standard keyboard that came with it except I've customized it with some scotch tape because one of my dad's cats ripped the left CTRL key off. I also broke the spacebar so I get the most desirable mushy, uncontrollable feel possible. Standard track pad that I had to disable because the left click button stuck, but who uses those, anyway? Why not use a really awesome, bottom of the line Dell mouse that you got at a yard sale for 15 cents? The battery's completely dead, but I've also got this really cool aftermarket universal charger since the last three brand name chargers that I had all shorted out or almost caught fire. As far as the guts of it go, I have one of the best gaming CPUs on the market: The AMD C-50. Two cores at a whopping 1 Ghz makes sure I can run any game I want at full speed, just as long as I don't try to venture too far beyond GBA emulation. As for the graphics, my AMD Radeon HD 6250 makes sure to eat a little over a half gig of system memory without actually doing much. I upgraded my 3 GB of DDR3 to 4GB after I cannibalized a bricked Sony VAIO that I got for next to nothing. And last but not least, I use a water damaged slim PlayStation 2 as a mouse pad. Now I'm actually not joking when I say that the PS2 is the greatest mouse pad that I've ever used. If you don't believe me, try it. It's absolutely unreal how much more sensitive it feels than a little rubber and foam mat. I'm serious, try it.
