Alright, so this is my first review, and the first review that this game has gotten on Vizzed. The game was wholesome, and, in my opinion, very good over all, although I know it's taken a bit of heat, but this is what I think about it, and maybe you'll want to play it after reading this review, maybe not.
This is one of many games on the Nintendo DS system that involves an RPG, and while this particular release, unlike some others on the mobile device, is no classic, never set any records, and is not very well known, it's l a good experience, all things considered, with a lot of quality despite its low-profile.

Wow, that's a great way to start off a review that was supposed to convince you that this is a great game. The graphics, over all, are about on par with other Nintendo DS games, honestly, and are better than some games on the device and much worse than others. While you can clearly see what you're supposed to be looking at, and there is enough detail for it to look good, the graphics certainly aren't great or ground breaking by any description. This isn't good enough to make the game, but neither is it bad enough to break it.

Sound: 5

Here, not so good. The game shows very little dialogue, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the complete and utter lack of any sound coming from the characters themselves is certainly not a help, with the closest thing to a character having audio being a sound similar to a deflating balloon being triggered when an enemy or player character is defeated. On the other hand, the game's sounds are decent for where they are used, with battle sound effects being good enough with physical combat while the magic is actually pretty well done despite the very low number of sound bytes the game uses, but again, this isn't what saved the sound portion of the game.  Honestly, the best part of the sound is the music, which is actually rather good for setting the mood that the developers were trying to create with this game. Again, not bad enough to ruin the experience, but not good enough to really improve upon it at the same time.

Addictiveness: 8
Despite the two above categories, the game has, every time that I played, left me coming back for more. It is a fun experience that, despite having little to no variation between playthroughs, is always fun to go back and go through again, as I have multiple times. The experience never seems to get dull or old, and every time that I go through it I find an experience that at least feels fresh. I personally played through this game about four, maybe even five times.

Story: 9

This games story is where it really starts to take off. Despite the cliché amnesiac beginning in the opening portion of the game, the plot slowly grows out from the simple story line that you follow at first until it twists again and again, incorporating various new conflicts, characters, and the like. The game takes a good amount of time to complete,  but the story ensures that every last moment is worth it, with each new element introduced adding to the ever-thickening spider web that makes up this game. I really could not ask for a better story line, and honestly, it's one of the best ones I have ever had the experience to go through in any game.
To expand upon this, each individual character has their own separate, miniature story line that gives them some back story while tying them in the game's overarching theme. This allows each and every one of the people you control, and many whom you don't have under your party's control, to have a lot more depth to their characters in general.

Depth: 7
This is a very long game, really, and will take more time than many games similar to it will to complete. But even if it didn't have such a long story line, you never really do run out of things to do. For one, there's the obvious grinding, which is present in just about any role playing game, which is plentiful and not limited to any amount of time except by your own patience. And honestly, the enemies in the game, despite being repetitive, vary by area, and you never really can get bored of cutting them apart with the strongest weapons on the market, or wiping out the entire field with the most powerful spells that you can muster. The aforementioned weapons are another thing to strive for, as the player will need to rack up a good amount of gold to supply their party with the best equipment the game can offer, with each town, generally, offering better supplies than the last. This often includes searching the chests in dungeons to find weapons that aren't yet available in the game, and may not be available for a good while in shops. Then, another element to the entire playing experience is finding the basements of alchemists, where statues of Prometheus lie, or the temples of certain Greek gods, all of which offer certain abilities or spells that can be used later in the game. Throwing in extras such as rusty weapons and gear that can be reforged, the ability to steal impacting the opinion of your party, civilian non player characters who are more than willing to talk to you, and so on, makes sure that you never get bored playing this game.

Difficulty: 4
While the game isn't especially challenging in most areas, and for the most part is rather easy, there are times in the game where the player will undoubtedly be defeated, more than likely multiple times, before they can finally find a way to clear a certain battle. I would have rated this higher if not for the function in which the game gives you the prompt to save before walking into any dungeon or encountering a boss enemy. The most difficult part beyond this portion of the game is trying to manage the items and magic points your characters have remaining during stretched out encounters involving multiple battles and dungeons, which can actually leave you with pretty much nothing of use left.
So overall, while the game is good, it certainly isn't perfect, and while it is better than a lot of the RPG games that are prevalent on the Nintendo DS, it's also worse than some of the better ones. A good game over all with a good plot, plenty to do, and enough enjoyment to keep you coming back for more.
