I pay close attention to my post count only during Tour de Vizzed so 1) I do not post too quickly and 2) so I can meet my "crazy post" quota in order to get the blue jersey. Otherwise, I only post in subjects that are interesting and in which I have intelligent things to say, however small or big that number is.

janus : janus um its not only for when you do it for the tdv. What about like the non tdv days do you count them also? Or do you not post in the non tdv months at all?

Eniitan : I do not post as often, whatever the period of the year. But whatever the period, I usually only post as inspiration comes. The Tour de Vizzed part I talked about was mainly about posting in place like Crazy House.

janus : Ah.....ok it makes sense now. Thanks for explaining it. I just need to know from people apart from tdv months if they do the same for the non tdv months. Which would make it more easier for me to understand things like that. I just like to know both sides of the story so that way its balanced out.

I don't literally "count how many posts a day" that I'm doing, especially since I generally don't post that much. However, I am trying to catch my number of posts to how many days I've been on here so it will eventually be 1 post per day. You get what I'm saying?

Like this is post number 1607 for me and I've been a member on Vizzed for 1877 days now. So right now, I am behind about 270 posts. In my case, I still have a while to go but I'm slowly catching up to it even though some of you guys can do 270 posts in a day XD I think at this time last month is was about 300 posts behind, so I'm definitely making progress. And it really didn't help the fact that I was inactive way back when I first joined. I didn't really start posting all that much until my 2nd year on Vizzed. But I'm trying to get better.

Its really the only thing I track on my profile.

MattyIce : Ah I see. Its fine everyone has their own paces of when they post. There will be those who likes to take it nice, and easy like you for instance you will get your posts up but slowing and in your own time. There will be those who likes to do it quickly so many people have their own different speed, and paces when it comes to posting so worries at all.

Well I don't set a goal like "I want to make ten posts" and then make exactly ten, but I do set minimum post goals each day. What that goal is depends on several factors, usually it's between three and six, but sometimes I shoot for twenty five or more.

I don't see how it could be considered bad, dangerous or spammy, as you have complete control over your own words. If you can't think of anything worth saying then don't post in that thread. So long as your minimum goals are reasonable and you're willing to work on meeting them, then you're good. At least that's how I see it.

I used to think every post or thread had to be deep and thought provoking, but now I realize the forums are about having fun and enjoying talking to people, not trying to enlighten everyone or bring out some deep philosophical revelation or whatever. Just have fun. lol

Eirinn : Yeah I agree with you on that big bro. I don't just post in any threads as you see I post in threads, that catch my interest or ones I would enjoy talking about and all. I feel it doesn't make sense to post in a thread you don't know so much about just to gain a post which is totally wrong to do. So it only make sense to post in threads, that you know a lot of knowledge for or just in general something you do in life and such as that.

I don't tend to count my posts... but when I do, it's for the TDV. =P j/k In all seriousness, I think trying to count posts makes life much more complicated than it really has to be. oO;; The only times I actually pay more attention to the numbers for the posts is when I'm reaching 100, 200, 500, 1000 etc. because sometimes I do feel like making some of those posts a little more significant. More often than not, however, I forget to see what post I'm on until I've already posted it and the number shows up when I'm reviewing the post for errors. XD If anything, I really love the new addition of our post numbers to the top of most of the pages since it really helps in keeping track of what posts we're on.

Yuna1000 : Lol why is it when for the tdv people only do that? Before I was able to count my posts as said by scrolling my mouse to my username to know before that was how I was able to count. Anyways yeah I have to agree, that this new feature does help people a lot with keeping track of how many posts a day they do. Reaching that certain amount is in a way of what I do for when I look at mine.

I don't. I just post whenever, and if it adds up to a big number, than that's cool.

I only counted when I was trying to make quota for local moderator.

And I guess I have been counting today.

Eniitan : i don't even know when I will stop. I've slowed down a lot (as I said I would because I'm doing homework) but I'm still posting s good bit so it's kind of working out lol

Barathemos : That's the feeling of the buzz when one post for many hours upon not ending. But, the fun is really there your senses will make you want to post more much less even your fingers would do most of the talking for you on that. I've slowed down a bit too, but it wouldn't mean I am stopping. XD

I never really paid attention and I was just answering the questions I found to be interesting but that rather limited my activity and my participation.

Now, since I've been playing with the leader board and I need to have several hundred thousand more words to write before I crack the high level of folks on here, I've started paying attention to what I write and how I write it and, to answer your question, how many posts I put up in a day.

That was one sentence! Wow.

I'm aiming at ten a day, more or less. I usually don't hit that number and I'm fine with it because I'm not competing against anyone else and I don't do the TdV because I think it saturates the conversation and waters down the content. If I don't have something good to add to the conversation, I'll pass up a thread and go to the next one.

It has made me dig down and go look at threads I might not add to in the past. Now, I'm hunting around, looking for fun things to talk about, ten posts a day, more or less.

Ghostbear1111 : That's good its always nice to like build up on posts when you want too really. Its in your own time you don't really need to rush. For me I'm after something and on certain time limit, that's why you are seeing me post almost everyday, or every time. I do hope you have fun in the places that you post. Also to find threads to your liking as well. Either 10 or lower if you make a small amount of effort to post? Then all is good. ^^

No not really,  I don't really care for how much I go towards a day because Half of the time, I know it inside of my head I won't always be able to keep that number up consistently and that's due to multiple variables.

Such as, Thread's to post in,   What to say,  If I feel like talking about it, If I have the time.. So on and so forth.

SuperCrash64 : Its fine I mean.....everyone does it differently you don't always count how many. At times you would post what you can if you find any interesting threads that you like. I do how I do mine because its easier that way to keep count of how many I do. Since the last thing I want is the mess it up on landing on an odd number to end my post for the day.

Well, normally i wouldn't. But today, however, i will go for the 50. Lol. If i fail, i'll give... Nah, that's a surprise. But i'm going for the 50 today, tomorrow i'll see what's gonna happen then. Perhaps i'll stride for... 600 posts then?

MarioLucarioFan64 : I see good luck with that then. I say really don't rush it unless there is a reason to do 50. But, I am sure you have a reason anyway you don't need to say why as long as you know how to get there.
