Lethal League is pretty much one of the strangest games ever, it's a fighting game where you pit two characters against each other who knock a ball back and forth. If the ball was hit by your opponent, it will keep bouncing off the walls, floor, and ceiling until someone dies. If your opponent hits it, no matter how long it bounces for, if you don't hit it and it hits you, you lose a life. There's so many different kinds of attacks to use and specials and it gets really intense after a while, and it's a lot of fun, yet kind of hard.
GRAPHICS: 8/10
The graphics are pretty good but also simple because all you see is the small background of where you are battling along with the characters and the animations of the attacks and the ball. Once the attacks start getting crazy, the animations still move smoothly and look great so that's a good indication of good graphics.
SOUND: 6/10
Personally, I don't really see the sounds as being all that great. There's some good sounds but to me it's just too "light". There's some nice sound effects and some small songs, and they definitely makes the action more intense, but basically, there could have been more. It's not bad but could have been better.
ADDICTIVENESS: 7/10
The game offers some amount of fun, but there's not really too much to it and can get boring after a while. If you play a few east matches where you hit the ball and the guy dies, or vice versa, it will get boring quick. However if you're good and have a challenge, the ball can speed up 20 times as much and you get some good action and some fun comedy from that, and a long and entertaining match. I wouldn't see myself playing more than 2 or 3 matches in one play through, whether it's against a bot or against another player.
STORY: N/A
If there is a story, I have not yet seen it, the entire game is just basic fighting between two characters in outrageous ways. The game could have been a lot better if there was more back story to the characters or some sort of a story, but nah.
DEPTH: 6/10
I would like to say that there's a ton if stuff in this game, but there isn't really. Its all about the actual game play than the number of modes or whatever. There are different types of game types you can play through but the biggest aspect of the depth would probably be the decent number of characters to choose from as well as a nice amount of customization along with a mice selection of stages, but that's about it really.
DIFFICULTY: 8
If you don't know what you are doing, the game can be really hard. I has to play about 5 matches before I was finally able to win my first one because it's so hard, especially when each character had their own set of moves and stuff. Sometimes you'll be playing against a certain character and you think you're safe, only to see that the ball goes through the wall and comes out where you are and stikes you in the back. You need to be quick and know what you are doing, you need to learn the controls quickly, and you need to be very very careful of you will die. Over and over.
OVERALL: 6.8/10
This game is fun, but only in moderation, or if you have plenty of friends to play the game with. It's not like the game is really expensive though, so you should still check it out if you can and mess around with it for a few hours every now and then. It's not the best but it's a good way to waste some time and have fun for a little while, and my overall grade for Lethal League is going to be a 6.8 out of 10.
