Porsche Challenge Review
Apart from CTR aka crash team racing. There was another racing game I adored which happened to be this one! Porsche challenge. This game indeed has a different gameplay. This game doesn't have much to it. But is still fun to play with either friends or siblings.

Story 6 out of 10: Welp the story for this game is very basic and straight to the point. Race to win! You will have to choose one racer who you wish to be. Also there will be 3 different tracks for you to drive on. There will be 6 racers in total. Each car has different driver and each racers have different personality. These peoples names are *Dan with his silver Porsche car, Rachel with her pink Porsche car, Beats with his green Porsche car, Nikita with her yellow Porsche car, Marco with his blue Porsche car and Taka-Bo with his red Porsche car* Also when you choose a racer. The drivers can comment on how other drivers drive and their relationship with the other drivers can affect this as well. This will show the racer you play as will have a rival. Usually your rival can say how bad you are driving which can be annoying this would be if you are not ahead. And how you are driving better than them. This would be for when you are well in the lead. You can hear these comments when your rival is in second place and close on your trail.There will be series of racers you can chose to be as well. They all be wanting to win. And won't let you off so easy, and show what they can do.

Graphics 6 out of 10: The graphics remind me of the usually ps1 graphics styles. Some like parasite eve for instance. Or maybe resident evil. Each ps1 games graphics always resemble one way or the other. If not they would come close to looking like other ps1 games.

Sound 7 out of 10: Has very upbeat music for each track. The 3 tracks have different music. And they are pretty cool and relaxing to listen too.

Addictiveness 8 out of 10 Yep this game is very very addictive lol. When you don't come in first place you keep on going until you have it. But then want to try other track areas to test your skills to see if you can come in first place for it as well.

Depth 7 out of 10: There are some depth to this game but not so much. You can get to play with 2 people in the game or play on your own. And have other options as well. Such as championship, practice or time trial mode. You get to do long races. Which will open up the secret hidden passage ways for you to pass the racers faster. And if I remember for when you do the championship which has 12 tracks for you to race. There will be some shortcuts that would open for some levels. While most others remain shut. I am guessing they don't open until you have completed the game fully. I remember when I was young I loved the long racing parts because you get to explore some other parts. Also some of the racers might follow you into the shortcut areas so be wary of that. Or you can do the classic tracks which are the standard ones. And there is no short cuts opened for this one you choose to do. There is another one as well. Called *Interactive Mode* this will trigger when you have completed the championship mode. And they will tell you. I remember doing this mode very well in the past. On the demo disc. Now for this one this type of race randomizes tracks. So imagine. If you are driving in one of the tracks you are used too driving then it changes suddenly on you causing you to crash and be off guard. That is what will happen.

Difficulty 7 out of 10: There are some hard levels it actually depends on how you take them. The level gets quite hard when you play more of the tracks. I wouldn't say its hard hard. More like between medium and hard like. But still challengeable for you to do. You can also set the difficulty yourself if you think its easy you can raise it to the higher lv. But I say the most difficult challenge would be the Interactive mode so watch out for that.

Overall 8.7: It’s a cool fun racing game to play and I really recommend those who have not played the game to actually try it out. If you don't end up liking it then that’s fine. As long as you tried playing it that’s all that matters really. It wouldn't be easy to play at first though. You will have to play it enough times to be able to control the car properly.

Another fine review of yours Eniitan. I liked how you colored the racers according to their car color - but why forget the poor Nikita . I like your depth section where you talked about the game more into details; I did not know racing games could have shortcuts! Do you know if other racers can discover them or only the main player can open them? Also, how are the sound effects? It is usually a big part if racing game (engine, breaking, etc.)

janus : Thank you, and I didn't use one for Nikita because my font is already for her car colour. So it wouldn't had made any sense to add in a yellow over yellow. I hope that you get what I mean? As for your questions I did mention in the review that other characters can take it. Not unless I didn't. Not all racers always take the route some do some don't its more like your rival follows you anywhere despite trying to beat you. It doesn't have that much sound effects. Most know ones are engine, crash, speed and breaks. When you drift there are noises, but not something which is too cool. Also for engine you actually hear most of that in a way like when you race down a long road. and hit the high speed for it the noise for, that increases because of how fast that you are going. When you crash it doesn't sound so pretty so when you also slow down the noise changes in a way not sure how to explain that. When you come to a turning, and slow down the noise will decrease, but immediately increase as soon as the car picks up speed again. I hope I've answered all of your questions.
