Ok, I am usually not a big fan of basketball. I decided to get this because it looked fun and it had Mario, Peach, and Luigi as players.
Presentation: The menu screens look good. The loading screens have various NBA players on them. Most courts have a little intro to them and we a bit about them, but not enough to bore anyone. The players look like their real-life counterparts. There are NBA Legends and Street Legends teams. The Street Challenge mode is basically story mode. You start out really low and have to work your way up to the NBA Street League. The Create-a-player mode is pretty good. They give you a lot of customization. There is also Create-a-Court mode is well done also. Lots of options in both. 9/10
Graphics: As already said the players look real. The courts look good. The animations flow very well. No slowdown that I could find. The dunks look awesome. Create -a-player as mentioned has a lot of options, and your created players look life like (if you attempt to make them that way anyways). 9/10
Gameplay and Controls: The controls feel good. The A button passes, the B button shoots, the Y button blocks shots, the X button is for random tricks or trying to steal the ball, the C-Stick is the Trick Stick, and R,L, and Z are turbo butons. The dunk contest is easy to get used to. You run toward the basket and do tricks in the air. You can add objects to jump over that will give you a higher score or you can pass the ball to yourself in several ways. Not as creative as the real dunk contest but pretty cool. As you do tricks during normal games (the trick stick does ball handling skills in the normal games) you get trick points they eventually give you a Gamebreaker that lets you do an awesome dunk. 9/10
Life: You could play this one for a while. The Street Challenge mode, stuff to unlock, the dunk contest. Also, 4 player multi-player support. 10/ 10
Also, this game has Spud Webb, so how can you argue with that? lol
Final: 9/10
