Seriously, who the heck thought of this. Why is Bubble an attack? It's like saying this:

"Poliwag! Use Bubble, but I don't expect you to live up to anything in life!"

Any others?

Thanks!! I like the appreciation. You can get one lie this for 1500 Viz, contact DarkHyren. P.S. No guarantees.

Another useless move is Present. Healing the foe? Forget it.

We all are in agreement that splash is the worst move, aren't we? But, I mean, lick??!! Lick, and just to put more emphasis on it, LICK.

Oh, by the way, I know this is a little off topic but I like present attack.

Did I mention lick?

Tickle. I could see how Tickle would lower Defense because your guard would be down but how can it lower Attack? It just doesn't make sense.

No contest, the worst move is Splash. Why does it even exist? Is there any use for it at all, at any point in the game? Seriously, what's up with that?

I don't like moves that their only purpose is to lower stats.
I mean common, Tail Whip? Why don't I just use Tackle on that turn instead, it would do more damage using Tackle over two turns then using Tail Whip then Tackle.
Then moves that sharply affect stats are a little better, but I would prefer an attack that has a chance of affecting a stat.

I asked around and I found that lower stats moves are considered some of the most pathetic moves in the game...leer...growl...HARDEN for Pete's sake!! Sereously, a pokemon that can only harden is just as useless as a pokemon that can splash!

This next move is not weak persay but it is comparitively pathetic in terms of other moves of its type. Hear ye: hyper beam, solar beam, aurora beam...bubblebeam. Bubblebeam what is up with a massive ray of bubbles. To me, that is just as weak as bubble attack.

And lastly, do not get me started on Teleport and Foresight

I hate stat-raising moves more than I hate stat-lowering moves. I always get rid of them before any others. I mean, seriously, what's the point of using howl to raise your attack when your opponent has the chance to catch you unguarded and use a powerful damaging move? However, the moves that I think are the dumbest are the ones that drain your own health, especially belly drum. "Let's cut my health so that I can be KO'ed quicker, just so I can do more damage next turn, when I might just be fainted!" No. And curse is stupid too (if the user is ghost type). But the funniest thing is when you attack first and leave them at less than half health, so that when they use curse it has absolutely no effect other than fainting themselves. I laugh my head off when that happens. And don't get me started on substitute. It works well if your opponent is low-leveled, or when their level is high enough to destroy you with that move, or when they're about to use explosion/self-destruct (never got the difference between those two), but other than that, you might as well just take the damage (you already lose HP anyways) and attack! And speaking of self-destruct and explosion (sorry this is so long, there are a lot of moves I hate), why even have them? "Oh, I'm gonna blow myself up and faint myself, so that I can KO this pokemon, even though I won't get any experience!" It's so dumb!

Its funny most the moves the ones that are the most funny to me are lick, tail whip, leer, growl, splash and others like it because it is a waste of a move and the oppent always could use a better move even tackle is better than any of them.

OK, splash is around because gyarados is an incredibly strong pokemon (at least in the older games), and in order to acquire one early on you have to work hard to level up your magicarp. And, there are no pokemon that ONLY know harden (at least in 1st gen. Dunno if they changed it). If you're talking about Metapod/Cakuna, both keep their original moves if you delay their evolution by one level. instead of evolving at level 7, wait till 8

anyways, now to my most hated moves.

the moves that stop your attack from getting through (can't remember what they are atm). honestly, they do absolutely nothing but prolong the battle, and if they use them repeatedly, it just gives you a chance to get a free hit in when they fail. Other then that, I hate Roar and whirlwind. Sure, they were nice to get away from wild pokemon when you didn't want to spend a fortune on repels, but other then that they were a complete wast of space and were gotten rid of as soon as they were learned.

Protect & Detect are the moves you're thinking of.

As for Roar/Whirlwind.....

VS. Wild pokémon = great
VS. Trainers = stinks

Yeah, what happens when you do that and you end up bringing out their pokemon that's twice as strong? What are you gonna do now? Use whirlwind/roar again, of course! And it never ends! The good thing? Your pokemon is forced to move last when using either of those moves, so you'll still take damage, eventually ending your foe-swapping spree.

Whirlwind/Roar is useful in combination with Spikes and Stealth Rock.

Stat up moves (I'm thinking like Swords Dance here) are useful, but only if thinking of the long term. Yeah, you CAN faint the pokemon in two Returns if you don't set up SD, so it's all the same. But what about pokemon 2? With SD up, you kill it with one hit, without it, it takes 2, thus meaning you save time.

Worst move ever is string shot, because while you get faster than the other, you waste a turn using it so it just cancels out the effect.

But not in 2 vs 2. Because it hits both targets, it actually has SOMEWHAT of a use.

Granted, I'm still not using it, but it's better than other moves like Splash. But splash is there for a reason... it auguments the Chinese legend of a useless carp going up a waterfall and becoming a ferocious flying dragon.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
