Subnautica is one of the games that I had wanted to play the most ever since I first heard of it and ever since I was able to play the game for myself, I had nothing but fun. I first heard of the game from Markiplier's channel and I liked it and then I started watching the series from Jacksepticeye and I thought it was amazing and I got to the point where I really wanted to play the game so I saved up and bought the game. It's a survival game, so right off the bat there's a bunch of other games that you can compare it to, but theres a twist because it takes place on an alien world, but at the same time it also takes place mostly underwater. That's one of the reasons why I liked it so much and wanted to start playing it, because it was a really nice and unique twist to the genre.

GRAPHICS 8/10

The graphics are very good for a game that takes place underwater because you aren't really supposed to be able to see anything but you do anyway. Everything looks beautiful from the massive spacecraft wreck just beyond your escape pod to the various biomes that lie on the surface of the water. Plenty of color and detail as well which make the game look so awesome. The designs are sweet as well. Theres dozens of various alien creatures, with their own awesome looks from small fish to these crazy huge and scary monsters with each one having an insane amount of detail and effort out into them. Overall the game looks great and for a grade, this aspect is going to get an 8 out of 10.

SOUNDS 10/10

The sounds and music of the game are amazing. First off you have the music which makes the game intense because af times, like when you are near a Reaper, a dramatic song will start to play and at other times, theres are a few songs that play that you will eventually learn to memorize and like. You also have regular sounds, like when a creature attacks you and those sounds can really creep you out which make the ocean a scary place. On top of that you have the voices, you know, that robot thing that tells you when you are running out of air or when you are hungry. There are times when it can be annoying, but it can be really helpful as well. Overall I think the sounds of the game are wonderful and the grade for this aspect will be a perfect 10 out of 10.

ADDICTIVENESS 10/10

Why wouldn't the game be addicting? Theres so much to do and explore, and in the end, our curiosity will get the best of us because the entire game I'd about stuff that we could have never thought of. It's a large ocean that we can explore and find these various creatures and theres all sorts of caves and places for us to explore. On top of that there's things for us to find and build which add even more fun to the game. What this is, is basically a scarier version of Minecraft but under water. After you have played for like dozens of hours and have dome everything you could have done, then all you need to do is wait for another update and then there will be much more for you to do. Its so much fun and theres always something to do and explore so my grade for addictiveness is going to be another perfect 10 out of 10.

STORY N/A

The only thing that would resemble a story would be the whole thing at the beginning where you learn about what happened to your ship and when you crash, and a little bit here and there when the ship, called the Aurora explodes but that's about it. Theres no story outside of surviving for as long as you can so I'm going to leave the grade for this one blank though there may be something more in the future as this game is still in early access.

DEPTH 10/10

Remember, theres so much to do. The game may still be in early access which means there's a ton of things planned, but theres still already so many things that you can do. You have so many caves and caverns to explore as well as miles upon miles of ocean to explore from top to bottom. You have so many different things to find from various items and resources to creatures. Beyond that you also have the ship to explore and even a couple of islands, and not to mention access to bases and underwater houses as big as you can possibly imagine. Just taking what the game already has and not including what's planned, the depth deserves another perfect 10 out of 10 for a grade.

DIFFICULTY 4

If you know what you are doing, than the game will be easy. There's only tao things that you need to worry about and by taking care of these, you could survive forever without ever building a base or doing anything extreme. First you need to stay away from the creatures that want to kill you, like the Stalkers, Reapers, and other big baddies. Stay away from these and your health wont go down unless you start starving. That brings us to our next point, as long as you have food and water, which you can get from small fish and creepvines, you will never get hurt. Just follow those two pieces of advice while you are playing and you will most likely survive, so for the most part, the game is pretty easy it wont get too hard unless you go out and look for trouble so the grade for difficulty is going to be a 4.

OVERALL 9.6/10

I spent dozens of hours watching at least 3 different youtubers play the game and it never got old. Then once I got the game, I played it myself and was able to experience all the same things that I was in the videos and I was never bored because even though I saw these things already, there was still so much to do and even doing the same basic things that they did was a lot of fun. I really liked it, its only one of maybe 5 or so games that I have ever seen on Steam that I have actively wanted to play, I wanted to play this game more than most of the other games I have or have played and when I did play it, I didn't regret it at all. The game is so much fun and I really think that you should all try it, and for that, my overall grade for Subnautica is going to be a 9.6 out of 10.

This was another good review of yours zander. You really were able to make me imagine how the game looked with your detailed description of the graphics and subsequent mentions in the gameplay. I wished you had done the same for music (are there other tracks that stand out, other than the "reaper song"?). Good job!

Eh, none of the other ones really "stand out" but they are still all pretty cool and give off the feeling of being in a new world.
