I have played games like these so many times, where you do various little things in the game and then you get EXP to fill up a bar and then bam, you're at the next level and a little screen pops up showing you what you unlocked at that level. There's the problem though, I never really cared about what I unlocked at that level, I would alwaysskip past that and I never payed attention to what I had unlocked because I alwasys just wanted to keep playing. Im oretty sure that you have done this too so here's a little guide that shows all of the things that you can unlock after each level, what you need to do to get them after they are unlocked, whether they are useful, what they do, and even the dragons that you can get.

LEVEL 2
When you reach level 2, you might be disappointed to see that you only unlock one thing but it's a big one, and it's the farm. You can't really do anything without the farm since you won't be able to grow food to level up your dragons and when you first start off, a level one farm costs 10,000 coins.

LEVEL 3
When you reach level 3, again you only unlock one item but this time it's the level 2 Fire Habitat. You don't actually get the habitat, but it allows you to upgrade any fire habitats you own from level 1 to level 2 for 2,000 coins and allows you to straight up buy a level 2 Fire Habitat for the same price. This habitat doubles the amount of gold you can store as well as the number of dragons it holds from 1 to 2.

LEVEL 4
When you reach level 4, you unlock a ton of things. First off you unlock two habitats which are the Earth Habitat and the Boss Habitat. The Boss Habitat can only be used to hold Boss Dragons which you can only buy after beating them. There is only one level of Boss Habitats, they can only hold one dragon each, and they each cost 50 gems. The Earth Habitat starts at level 1 once you unlock it and costs 1,000 coins to build.
You also unlock the Temple of Legends, which at level 1 costs 480,000 coins and allows all your Legendary dragons to be trained up to level 20. Each level upgrade costs more and allows your dragons to be trained to higher levels, up to 60. You unlock the Dragon Academy which costs 2,500 coins and allows your dragons to learn various skills that will make all of their attacks much stronger. Unfortunately you are only allowed to train attacks up to one level until you upgrade the academy again. You also unlock the Lighthouse at this level which allows you to invite friends to your game. Inviting friends is very helpful because you are allowed to use their dragons in your battles at a price and for inviting certain amounts of friends, you also get various rewards. The Lighthouse is free and is already in place from when you first start the game.
Level 4 also comes with a few dragon unlocks, five of them to be exact, and all five are compatible with habitats that you have already unlocked. You unlock the Earth Dragon which is a Common Dragon, costs 1,000 coins, and its only element is Earth. You unlock the Dust Dragon which is a Common Dragon, costs 60 Gems, and its elements are Wind and Earth. You unlock the Lava Dragon which is a Common Dragon, costs 35 gems, and its elements are Earth and Fire. You unlock the Salamander Dragon which is an Uncommon Dragon, costs 300 gems, and its elements are Fire and Earth. Lastly, you unlock the Tribal Dragon which is a Rare Dragon, costs 850 gems, and its elements are Fire, Earth, and Wind. With all dragons, as long as you have already unlocked them, you can breed for them instead of buying them.

LEVEL 5
When you reach level 5, you are awarded with even more cool things such as the Legendary Habitat which is the only habitat where you can house the Legendary Dragons. Like the Boss Habitat, the Legendary Habitat only has one level but it can hold two dragon and it costs 600,000 coins to build. You also unlock Level 2 of the Wind Habitat which costs 4,000 coins to either buy or upgrade, the gold cap raises by 1,000, and the number of dragons it can hold doubles to two.
With this level, you unlock another six dragons to be bought or bred. All of these dragons are Legendary, so don't expect to get one of these right away unless you have the time to try many many breeding combinations or you have the extra real life cash to spend on them. Don't worry though, I'll tell you what dragons you need to breed to get them, though it still might take a while since you haven't actually unlocked any of the dragons required to breed them. Well, they are Legendary for a reason. The Pixie Dragon costs 3,250 gems and can be bred from a Sunflower Dragon and a Lightning Dragon. The Dark Machine Dragon costs 3,350 gems and can be bred from a Sunflower Dragon and a Magnet Dragon. The Titan Dragon costs 3,400 gems and can be bred from a Mercury Dragon and a Magnet Dragon. The Siren Dragon costs 3,500 gems and can be bred from a Sunflower Dragon and a Mercury Dragon. The Vortex Dragon costs 3,650 gems and can be bred from a Mercury Dragon and a Lightning Dragon. The Narwhale Dragon costs 4,000 gems and can be bred from a Lightning Dragon and a Magnet Dragon. All Legendary Dragons have their own element, and you should also know that even with the right breeding combination, the chances of the hatched dragon being a Legendary is still very low and 3750 gems costs a full $100.

LEVEL 6
When you reach level 6, you only get a handful of new items and most of them are for decoration only. You do unlock the Fire Temple which costs 5,000 coins at level 1 and allows your fire dragons to train up to level 20. It's like the Temple of Legends mentioned earlier but costs a lot less and is specialized for Fire Dragons and as you upgrade the temple, Fire Dragons can continue to level up all the way to level 60. With level 6 you also unlock five decoration items which costs 2,000 coins, the Slate Tile which costs 500 coins, the Evergreen Shrub which costs 1,500 coins, the Granite Post which costs 2,500 coins, and the Leafy Shrub which costs 2,000 coins. These give no EXP or anything useful and are just for decoration only so I wouldn't suggest buying any unless you really want your islands to look good and take up more space.

LEVEL 7
When you unlock level 7 you are only give one thing and it's the Wind Temple. This works the same way as the Fire Temple but for Wind Dragons and at it's base level will cost you 10,000 coins to train all Wind Dragons up to level 20.

LEVEL 8
At level 8 you will unlock the Earth Temple which is so far the most expensive of all temples for base habitats that you unlocked and costs 20,000 coins and allows all Earth Dragons to be trained to level 20. You also will unlock two habitat upgrades when you reach level 8. The first is a Level 3 Fire Habitat which will cost 8,000 coins to upgrade or buy, and it doubles the coin cap to 2,000 and still holds only two dragons. The second habitat upgrade is a level 2 Earth Habitat which will cost 10,000 coins to build or upgrade, and the cap is raised to 3,500 while also holding two dragons.
The other two things that you will unlock at level 8 include an upgraded Farm and Dragon Academy. The Level 2 Farm costs 10,000 coins to build or upgrade and allows you to grow three more types of food. The Level 2 Dragon Academy will cost 40,000 coins to upgrade and it will allow all skills to be trained to their second level.

LEVEL 9
Level 9 has so many things for you to unlock, most of which has to do with the Water Element which you are now seeing for the first time. The first thing you unlock is the Water Habitat which you can build for 10,000 coins at level 1 and it starts off with a massive gold cap of 5,000 coins. Alongside the Water Habitat you also right away unlock the Water Temple which can be built for 30,000 coins and allows Water Dragons to be trained to level 20. Once you reach this level you also get to upgrade or build a level 3 Wind Habitat. This will cost 10,000 coins, it raises the coin cap to 4,000, and it still only holds two dragons. With this level, you also get to unlock a bunch more decorations. You get the Dead Tree Trunk which costs 10,000 coins, basic flowers which cost 10,000 coins, White Flowers which cost 5,000 coins, Marble Tiles which cost 1,500 coins, Round Topiary which costs 3,500 coins, Clay Tile which costs 1,000 coins, and Weeping Shrubs which cost 2,500 coins.
On top of all that, you also get to unlock a ton of brand new dragons when you reach this level, eight in all. There's the Water Dragon which is a Common Dragon, costs 10,000 coins, and its only element is water. There's the Boiling Dragon which is a Common, costs 50 gems, and its elements are Fire and Water. You get the Ice Dragon which is a Common Dragon, costs 55 gems, and its elements are Wind and Water. Next is the Snow Dragon which is a Common Dragon, costs 50 gems, and its elements are Water and Earth. Following that is the Mud Dragon which is an Uncommon Dragon, costs 280 gems, and its elements are Earth and Water. Then there's the Cloud Dragon which is another Uncommon Dragon, costs 295 gems, and its elements are Water and Wind. Lastly there's the Clownfish Dragon which is another Rare Dragon that also costs 850 gems and its elements are Water, Earth, and Wind.

LEVEL 10
When you reach level 10, there's only a few small things for you to unlock. The first thing you unlock is the Level 2 Water Habitat. This costs 40,000 coins to build or upgrade while the cap is raised to 6,500 and the number of dragons it can hold raises from one to two. Lastly you unlock the Mystic Cave which once unlocked costs 20,000 coins to access and there are various rewards you can get after exploring the cave which can range from gems and scrolls to gold and food.

LEVEL 11
Level 11 has a surplus of cool things to unlock once you get there. First off you unlock the level 3 Earth Habitat. This costs 18,000 coins to build or upgrade, raises the coin cap to 5,500, and still holds two dragons. next up you unlock the Plant Habitat which is obviously for Plant Dragons and it costs 40,000 coins to build. It starts off holding one Dragon and a coin cap of 7,500. One of the coolest things that you can unlock at this level is the Dragon Arena League which allows you to fight your dragons against the dragons of other actual players. You get points for winning and awards for having the most points.
Along with the cool new League and habitats, you unlock nine new dragons, all of which have to do with the brand new Plant Habitat that you just unlocked. The first new dragon is the Plant Dragon which is a Common Dragon, costs 40,000 coins, and its only element is Plant. The Seed Dragon is a Common Dragon that costs 165 gems and its elements are Wind and Plant. Next up is the Tree Dragon which is a Common Dragon, costs 150 gems, and its elements are Earth and Plant. Like level 13, when you reach level 14 you are only given three things but some of them are actually really big. First you unlock level 4 of the Dragon Academy which costs a whopping 1 million coins to upgrade and it allows all skills to be upgraded to level 4. At this point you would need to be really rich to keep upgrading skills, on top of roughly 1.5 million coins spent on just upgrading, each skill itself costs a lot to upgrade at this point. Next up you unlock the Ghost Ship which is kind of like the Mystic Cave in a way and once you unlock it you need to spend 180,000 coins to access it. You can get some really big rewards for going through the cave such as five to ten gems or tons of gold and food. At this level you also unlock Li'l Dragon Gate which is a huge decoration that costs 25 gems.

This will require 600,000 coins to build or upgrade and the coin cap for this is now 30,000 and it can hold two dragons instead of one. The rest of the things that you unlock with this level are all decoration. The Enchanted Dagger costs 120,000 coins while the Ladybug Fountain costs 180,000 coins, and An Ode to Fruit costs 5 gems. You have the Reflecting Pool which costs 150 gems but can only be bought after winning it from an event. The Path of Fortunes is the same price and must be bought the same way as well. You can also buy the the Sword Sculpture after reaching this level, but Dungeon Tokens must be used to buy this. You get these Tokens from the dungeons which are accessible after beating the first 44 levels on the battling campaign.

LEVEL 32

You have Winged Victory which must also be won in the League, you have Galgomor's Blade which must be won in the league, there's Golden Dreams which must first be won from an event and all of these cost 150 gems after you have both unlocked them and won them. You have also unlocked the Wooden Lamppost which costs 250,000 coins, you have Mystical Fountain which costs 750,000 coins, there's Golden Hatchling which costs five million coins, Battle Tribute which costs 20 gems, and lastly you have the Watchful Skull which also costs 20 gems.
LEVEL 33
At Level 33 you have the level 6 Plant Habitat. This costs 480,000 credits to build or upgrade and has a coin cap of 25,000 and holds three dragons.

LEVEL 34-60
From now on there will be some levels where you don't unlock any new items because all that's left are the habitats. At level 36 you unlock the level 4 Void Habitat which costs 1.5 million coins and has a coin cap of 50,000 and holds two dragons. At level 38 you unlock the level 5 Energy Habitat which costs 900,000 coins with a coin cap of 43,000 and now holds three dragons. There's more. Fast forward all the way to level 60 and you can unlock your final building which is the level 4 Farm which will cost you 2.5 million coins to build or upgrade and will give you three more types of food that you can grow.

Well there you have it. Maybe after reading this you have some sort of a plan ready on how you want to progress with the game, or maybe this made you rethink all the things that you got many levels ago or where they came from. Regardless, I hope this helped.

You get points for winning and awards for having the most points.
