Alright, most people know the GTA series for its large amount of controversy. The thing is: This game is really good. I pre-ordered it for PC and as soon as it started up the prologue I knew I was into something good, and I'll tell you why.

Graphics - 10
When I saw the graphics, I was blown away. It didn't look like real life, but if it was a close to reality as a game could get, I wouldn't mind at all. The textures and models are really high quality, and if your computer couldn't handle the high to ultra settings for all the other things like post-processing and tessellation, you could actually turn down one or more of the many settings available. I'd list them all but I don't want to get too technical. That aside, there sometimes can be (obviously) lag spikes for older PCs like mine, but I wouldn't deduct points over that. Since the graphics are really nice the community sometimes likes to pause the chaos and take a look at the epic sunsets, the forest, or the urban areas on Los Santos. And when they do, they make sure to take a picture of it.

Sound - 10
The audio quality is actually pretty great. I never really had to mute the game or act like the audio is perfectly fine when it sounds like a guy punching the ground in his garage and recording it. The music in this game really does match the tone of that you are doing very well. Several times I have been caught blowing people's cars up and the police come, and when times get serious the game plays its soundtrack. My favorite one is here. The music is not the only audio in the game though. Everybody (except for GTA Online characters) have things to say. You can use your generic interact key while looking at someone in story to say something demeaning or polite depending on what they are doing. I've gone for walks as all three main characters and spoke with the people on the streets, and they sometimes have some pretty silly stories to tell, or they want to beat you up.(Keep in mind that doing this in GTA Online will not work because you don't speak.) That is why the audio is so great.

Addictiveness - 10
I keep finding myself starting the game up with every chance I got. I recently finished the story, so I go straight to Online. I think that I keep coming back because of the adventures and fun things I do in the game. In story I did the missions and they were good, but that goes in the story section. I would also run around and pretend I was a hit-man or assassin, finding a person on the street and kill them and try to make an epic get-away. Not only that but I would sometimes start entire brawls between me and some workers or I enable cheats and destroy everything. In GTA Online, it has more things to do in the Open world of Los Santos. In GTA Online you are pit against other players in becoming the most dangerous, rich, and infamous kingpin/thug in Los Santos. If you are not all about dominance and money, then you are probably about the style. In both GTA V and GTA Online you can choose from many outfits from 3 clothing stores and show off how nerdy, preppy, sportsy, or awesome you are. And if you are not about style, then my best guess is stunts. Everybody has done a few stunts in GTA, whether it would be riding a bike up a building or jumping out of a plane and parachuting onto your friends boat at high speeds, we have done them. If you don't go that far you probably do what various YouTubers do, which is trying to jump off highways onto trucks or go on a heist with your friends. I have mentioned GTA Online already, but it gets pretty addictive with friends and how easy and fun the missions are too.

Story - 8
The story is about 3 guys who live in Los Santos, a island that is based off of Los Angeles, CA. It begins with Michael Townley, Trevor Philips, and Bradley Snider making an attempt to rob a bank. They blow up the vault and collect some money and try to get away from the police, but Bradley and Michael get shot and Trevor goes on a rampage and runs away. As it turns out, using a witness protection program Michael faked his death to move his family to Los Santos, where he would live for 10 years. Also, Michael goes to therapy and deals with his family being hard on him which makes the entire idea of moving not worth it. Then you learn about a guy named Franklin Clinton who lives with his aunt in a poor neighborhood. Franklin repossesses cars until he meets Michael, who teaches him how to rob a bank. Eventually Michael, Franklin, and Trevor do a couple of heists and Michael and Trevor become friends again. It's actually a long story and I recommend you check it out, but it's not like it was like Wolfenstein: The new Order where you get legitimately upset at the ending or feel attached to the characters (True story telling, kiddos). The story is still pretty good, though.

Depth - 9
There is actually plenty to do in GTA V. You can explore, kill people, commit crimes, modify cars, do missions, or do some heists. This is the PC version, so there is also the modability. There have been some occasions where I actually don't know what to do, so then I feel like I was playing the game for no reason, but then I have done practically everything and it feels like the game could have more (this takes a long time to do). When you join a good session of GTA Online you'll probably find a new nemesis and probably make a new friend to help you kill your nemesis. Or you can spend hours gaining and spending money on guns and vehicles, or on heist prep. I also mentioned that you could customize your character, and do some crazy or baby stunts. You can also join a crew, so you won't be alone in Los Santos. Joining a crew adds to what you can do, you can fight other crews, gain points for your crew, wear your crew emblem, hang out with crew members, and take over a part of Los Santos (which takes a bunch of effort in small numbers). A few other things you can do in GTA V is get eaten by a shark, eat peyote plants and hallucinate that you are a animal, collect alien parts, try to solve the many mysteries of Los Santos, or go cruising around. That isn't all of it, but there is so many things to do in this game.

Difficulty - 7
Finally, I rate the difficulty. This game is really difficulty if you are used to the console controls. Things get a little tricky if you don't remember exactly where your keys are. I use the computer often so I know my keyboard pretty well, but if you don't I recommend you get a controller. Whenever I feel like using a controller I get my Xbox One controller and plug it in, and it switches to the console setup (but it sometimes doesn't apply aim-assist). Other than the controls, I suck at GTA so I die often if I don't carry plenty of snacks on my character, but the game does start out easy. It keeps getting progressively harder and harder until you either get good or give up. However, on GTA Online some missions are really easy on hard, which is a little funny. GTA Online is a little harder to rate, some players suck and some will definitely make a mess of you and your friends. So I'd say that the difficulty depends on what type of mission you are doing, the difficulty setting it is on, and how good the other players are. Overall the difficulty makes the game like a hot potato, if you jump in without waiting or thinking it burns your mouth, but if you go in carefully and you know what you are doing you'll get to enjoy the challenge. (Note: Video games are not hot potatoes, do not eat them.)

Overall
The game impressed me on the Xbox360 and PS3, and it impresses me more now that it is on more platforms. I found myself enjoying the game more than I enjoy dreaming about summer vacation, and I actually look forward to playing this game when I am at school or away from home. The graphics are great, the audio has so much content and is high quality, the game is fun, and there is so much to do. I would say that it is worth the price I paid for it, and if you have a good enough computer you should get this version too.

If you have any questions or comments, let me know. I'd like to know that you thought of GTA V for PC. (This is also my first review!)

twocreepers : This was a really nice and long review, and the way you put it together brilliant. I also have to agree with you. This game is really fun, and the graphics are out of this world. Also how did you double post, in meaning how did you post a comment twice?

animelover1 : I wasn't aware that I double posted, I just commented on my review because that part I wanted to include wasn't needed in the actual review. Thanks for agreeing with me, by the way!
