Personally, I'm a little weird. I was raised Christian so a lot of my values come from that however I don't believe in the stories in the bible and such. Now i'm more Agnostic than anything, I'm of the assumption that if it really mattered, there wouldn't be so many different beliefs.

This is gonna make you all hate me, but I am full-blown atheist. I'm pretty laid-back though, meaning as long as you don't attempt to "show me the light," I'm not gonna make any big deal out of it. Keep your distance, and I'll keep mine. Since you have your views, and I have mine. There's nothing wrong with that. Cuz I believe that if people want to follow a religion in order to feel comfortable in the way they live their life, then so be it. I'm not gonna say a word against it. I already have my own ideals, so religion isn't necessary for me. The problems start when you try to say your views on something are better than someone else's views on the same topic. That's what causes problems...

I myself am a Christian that really doesn't have a denomination per say, but tries to follow the bible and understand what it refers to myself, instead of what commonly held beliefs are. I also try to look at the science that points to there being a creator, and that is why I follow my faith.

I am considered a non denomination christian. Mainly, I have a beef with religion. They seem much more divisive, plus they seem more into practicing tradition and not enough faith. The bible is pretty clear that salvation does not come with works, but grace. Not saying every religion is like that.

I think it works better to use the word "Agnostic" as opposed to weak atheist. That makes the selecter neither for nor against religion. Identifying oneself as Atheist is a lot different than identifying oneself as agnosting, as atheists believe that there is no god (note the lower case "g", meaning there is no god from any religion, not just Christianity) and there is no religion, and thus no cause for it. Agnostics do not believe for or against any religion.

I would have to say that Christianity doesn't belong on this thread because I don't see how Christianity is religion. If anyone here has read the bible, they should know that religion is the opposite of what Christianity is. Reason is that Christianity isn't supposed to be divided into all these sects or based on works and tradition. Real Christianity is union without division into sects, and it is based on faith and the heart, and love, and not works and tradition.

i'm an atheist and proud of it. It makes it kind of dangerous considering I live in the south, but hey. I believe that religion is a crutch for weak-minded people to rely on. If you have to rely on the belief of some sky-genie, then you are not a strong enough person. it is kinda hard, though. my entire family is x-tian and try to brow-beat me into believing their fairy tales. I have even told them to not bring it up and I do not feel comfortably discussing it with them. I do care and love my family deeply, and do not want to upset them.
