Okay, first and foremost, this is my first review on my first day as a member, so bear with me. I'm here to discuss Kirby Super Star Ultra for the DS. This game is what's called an enhanced remake. It takes the game Kirby Super Star for the SNES and re-releases it, only better (new content, updated graphics, etc.) So, how does it rank?
First, let me say that I'm a little biased. I love Kirby. So it's no surprise that I like this game. But that's not to say I won't give an accurate review. Well, anyways, for those of you who don't know what the original was like, the premise of the game is that rather than one longer adventure, you take several smaller games and mash them together. Not only does this add a little replay value, but it lessens linearity. That's not to say you can play any game from the start. No, the game gives a learning curve, starting with the very easy Spring Breeze and working its way up to the True Arena, with all the new (and very hard) bosses from Ultra. The bad thing is, the bosses are the hardest part. Other than that, you should breeze through without a problem. Actually, if you use the right copy ability, even these difficult bosses can be taken down somewhat easily. However, on the other hand, you don't get bored. The games are short and sweet, easily completed within twenty minutes. They gradually get harder and harder, until it gets to the point where you think you're playing a different game. I still can't seem to unlock the True Arena. In fact, the only reason I know about it is I've played it on my friend's game.
All in all, this is a fun game, especially Meta Knightmare Ultra. The easy learning curve is a little annoying at first, but picks up at the end of the game. Since I feel like it needs a score, I'll have to give Kirby Super Star Ultra an 8 out of 10. But that doesn't mean anything. It's all an opinion, so don't get mad at me if you think I gave it the wrong score or anything. This is one game I must recommend, especially for those that aren't that great at games yet Okay, first and foremost, this is my first review on my first day as a member, so bear with me.
