This is officially the last arcade game in the Street Fighter 2 series before Capcom finally learned how to count to 3 in the Street Fighter series as a whole. This game introduces us to one new character who is a secret character named Akuma (Gouki in Japan). Also introduced to the series were Super Moves for each character except Akuma who does get one in the HD remix of this game.
 
There were also some new moves given to all characters whether it is a new special or command move. In some cases, some existing moves got tweaked like Chun Li's Spinning Bird Kick becomes a b~f + K motion when it was d~u + K in previous games. Doing that move now will activate here newest special move: Tenshou Kyaku. Some moves also have juggling properties such as Sagat's Tiger Uppercut.
 
As everybody knows three of the Big Four (Sagat, M. Bison, Vega, and Balrog) have different names in Japan with Sagat being the lone holdout due to a potential lawsuit Mike Tyson might bring in regards to M.Bison/Balrog using his similar likeness during the early Street Fighter 2 game with the M standing for Mike. In addition, the Capcom USA boss thought Vega was a weak name for a final boss. I include both their names in their sections. To fight Akuma, you must go undefeated upon reaching M. Bison/Vega and get there as fast as possible then Akuma will interrupt the fight at the start and take out M.Bison/Vega and fight you instead.

I played this game awhile back but I was absolutely terrible at it because I was horrible with the controls and I didn't know anything about all the different moves and combos.
