Har yeh hra ye, tier lists. Discuss current official ones, make your own, comment on others. You don't have to make a full list, you could just do top and bottom tiers. Any game. I'll do Melee.

SSBM tier list: 

SS Tier - Outstanding
1. Fox - 20XX anybody? Casual players will note that Fox isn't that good and he's overrated. Well, once you learn to SHDL SHFFL waveshine out of an l-canceled d-air, you'll understand. I used to think he deserved 3rd place, but every tier list for the past few years ranks him as first. For good reason. There's literally nothing bad about him. Incredible strength, great falling speed makes vertical KO's near impossible, amazing recovery, great overall speed, and can string combos together perfectly. Any arguments? No? Good.
2. Falco - My personal favorite. I didn't let bias get ahold of me -- If I did, it still wouldn't change anything because Fox is just that much better. I was tempted to give Fox his own tier, but in Falco vs. Fox matchups, Falco proves to be better. Don't get me wrong, Fox is better overall, but Falco typically beats Fox.

S Tier - Excellent
3. Marth - From what I've seen, Marth's aerials dominate the higher tier characters. Marth is probably the best for defeating Fox and Falco. His perfect knockback aerials plus his spike plus his u-tilt and f-tilt plus his chaingrabs plus even his counter (great for edgeguarding) just... Make him great for taking down SS tier. The reason he isn't on SS himself: Characters that don't fall as fast can easily avoid his combos.
4. Captain Falcon - A downright beast. Captain Falcon has arguably the best offense in the game. Strong knockback, lots of damage, fastest land speed and one of the fastest air speeds, and of course... The combos. The problem, though, is that once you knock him off the stage he hasn't got much of a chance. His recovery is nice, but it doesn't physically harm someone unless they are midair in the open.
5. Sheik - Legendary tilts. F-air is amazin'.
6. Jigglypuff - The most hated on character, yet loved by many. Think she's pointless? Try using rest.

A Tier - Great (smiley faces are videos, click on them)

8. Ganondorf -
9. Ice Climbers -
10. Mr. Game & Watch -

B Tier - Pretty good (aka Mario tier)
11. Peach - Way overrated. The second best SSBM player in the world mained Peach, but no one else is good as her.
12. Dr. Mario - Great offense
13. Mario - Pretty good offense, better recovery (still pretty bad though)
14. Yoshi - Great, but I think the main thing that sets it back is that Yoshi has no actual recovery. Jigglypuff at least had a lot of jumps.
15. Young Link - Fun to mess around with. Not a lot of KO moves (fully charge an f-smash and watch your opponent barely move), but has nice bomb combos.
16. Luigi - Slow and not too strong. Arguably the worst recovery in the game, but his aerials are among the best.

D Tier - Not good
17. Roy - Was in last place at one point, still dangerously low. My first real main. When you play Roy, you don't really beat up (or in this case cut up) your opponent. You really just throw all your attacks out there and hope they hit. The worst part about Roy is that his attacks are stronger the closer they are to the hilt of his blade, which makes you need to get really close to deal some knockback.
18. Link - He's slow and not too strong.
19. Samus - Would be one of the worst, but camping makes Samus ok-ish.
20. Donkey Kong - No one plays as Donkey Kong. No one knows why.
21. Ness -  He's got an OK f-smash, the easiest to edgeguard recovery, an OK f-air, and an OK b-air. PK Fire is even easy to get out of and only suffer like two hits.
22. Kirby - Kirby, notorious for being widely considered the worst character in the game. BUT KIRBICIDE, BABY.
23. Pichu - I tried so hard to not let bias take over. Pichu sucks, but is undoubtedly my favorite to play as. Super fun and fast, plus it's funny to see people rage after being beaten by Pichu, the character stated by the game's creator to be a joke character. Undoubtedly the worst defense in the series' history.

F Tier - OH GOD BURN IT

24. Zelda - Zelda is one of the best characters because she can transform to Sheik.
WHICH MEANS... We have Bowser and Mewtwo left. Which one is the worst character? Well...
25. Mewtwo - Has the best grabs. Has some of the worst specials. Has some of the worst aerials. Has some of the worst smash attacks. Has OK tilts. Mewtwo can't kill people! THERE'S NO GOOD KILL MOVES, AND MEWTWO IS SUPPOSED TO BE STRONG.

26. Bowser - Yep, the worst character. Bowser has been ranked the worst character in four of the eleven/twelve tier lists. Pichu has been ranked worst five times, but Pichu is starting to get some light for having godly aerials. Bowser is the largest character, has a fast falling speed, and has the heaviest weight. That makes him the easiest to combo. His recovery sucks, and that combined with the fact that he has a fast falling speed makes him very susceptible to off-stage KOs. Did I mention he has one of the slowest movements of all the characters? Plus he actually does have the slowest attacks. He's literally the worst in everything except for his weight.



These are simply opinions of course. jk they are facts. i am accurate. Feel free to comment on my choices and make your own.

Interesting list! I should note that I love to watch Yoshi players, even though Yoshi doesn't have a "true" recovery. AMSA is my favorite smasher to watch, period. Even though I don't have a physical copy of Melee, mourin got me interested in the Melee scene. And I love watching it. Seeing a Falcon matchup or an Ironman gets me pumped up!

supernerd117 : I really think Flutter Jump should have been Yoshi's real recovery. Change Egg Toss to side special and completely remove Egg Roll or whatever it's called. Where did Egg Roll even come from? Also, not sure if I made it obvious enough: The smiley faces are links to YouTube videos. Check out Ganondorf's if you haven't yet.

Interesting list. I disagree with some of the choices, but that's just a matter of opinion. I like using Fox, Lucas (as opposed to Ness), Pit, Marth, Toon Link (I don't know why) and LUIGI! All hail Weegee! On a serious note, you missed some characters. Maybe you just forgot them.

ZeroTails : It's evident you're just posting here for post count. I repeatedly said this tier list is for Melee. I didn't miss any characters. Next time you should actually fully read the OP, even if it's during the Tour de Vizzed.
