This is the first review I am doing. Sonic Classic Heroes is a very cool game, even though it is just the first 2 Sonic games put into 1.
GRAPHICS: 8/10 The graphics are pretty good. You have the cartoon-like graphics of Sonic 1 and Sonic 2, yet the player sprites give you the feel of Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
SOUND: 9/10 The music of Sonic 1 and 2 is very catchy and seems to fit with whatever is going on. Whether your on a tropical island or a massive flying fortress, the music sure knows how to give the feeling of what's going on.
ADDICTIVENESS: 10/10 I put the addictiveness pretty high because this game is, well, very addicting. With the levels being both easy and hard at the same time, the ability to play as Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles, and the added challenge of getting not just 7, but 14 emeralds (7 Chaos Emeralds and 7 Sol Emeralds), this game just doesn't get anymore addicting.
STORY: 5/10 The story is so low because it's just two stories put together. The first story (Sonic 1) is that Eggman (who was called Robotnik at that time) turned animals into robots, and Sonic must free his animal friends and save the day. While it may be simple and plain, it just doesn't catch my attention that much. The next story (Sonic 2) has Eggman doing the same thing, but this time he has a massive base known to the world as the Death Egg. While both these stories aren't as good as later games (Sonic 3, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Generations, etc.), the way they are presented are better.
DEPTH: 9/10 The game is massive. With a total of 15 zones, 14 special stages, the playable characters, and, as mentioned before, the 14 emeralds, this game doesn't get any deeper. Well, without the cheat codes of course. There are many cheat codes, such as having all emeralds, or "Night Mode". This game is so big, you must be lucky to explore every nook and cranny of it.
DIFFICULTY: 7/10 The game can get difficult at times. Like I said, the levels are challenging, with many puzzles and traps bound to leave you planning out a strategy to beat the level. The gameplay also affects the difficulty, like Knuckles not being able to jump as high as Sonic and Tails, or Tails having limited flight. But there are also some parts of the gameplay that almost trolls you, like if you're Tails, you can swim. But sometimes either 1 or both of your teammates will grab on, making you sink as you cannot swim while carrying someone.
OVERALL: 9.7 This game is a very great game, and if you want to try it out for yourself, then you can. But remember: DO NOT SPINDASH ON THE TORNADO! You have been warned... - GANONDORF4EVER This is the first review I am doing. Sonic Classic Heroes is a very cool game, even though it is just the first 2 Sonic games put into 1.
