VVVVVV is a great little game that's fast paced, colorful, and overall a lot of fun to play. I watched many videos of people playing this game, from my favorite YouTubers, to random people playing it because I liked how it looked but I also liked watching how everyone reacts to messing up all the time. I finally got the game like a year after discovering it and I got a good amount of playtime out of it.

GRAPHICS 9/10

The graphics are really cool and I would say represent some of the older fun retro games that had some awesome graphics. The game is very colorful, it is clean, and it has many unique designs and patterns to make the game more enjoyable and give a different experience in each level. I really like the graphics and five this aspect of the game a 9 out of 10.

SOUND 9/10

In my opinion, the sound is just as good as the graphics, the game uses a bunch of different chiptune tracks, about a dozen of them and I say they blend together with the graphics and speed of the game as perfectly as it can. This is the kind of video game music that you can listen to at any time, even when you aren't playing and for that I am going to give this aspect of the game another 9 out of 10.

ADDICTIVENESS 8/10

If you like a really challenging game, you will love this one, but even if you don't like challenges you could still end up loving it because of its fun game play which involves switching gravity to get from one place to another. You might end up playing the game over and over to try to beat the game as quickly as you can and too wouldn't be bored because each time you play it, it will be just as much fun as the last. The game has so much potential and is really addicting and my grade for is going to be an 8 out of 10.

STORY 6/10

The game doesn't really have much of a story as its more focused on the actual game play. The game revolves around your character going through a different dimension looking for other crew members from your ship that got separated. That's all there is to the story, the game is mainly about actually finding the other members and how you do it instead of what happened. I'm going to give the story a 6 out of 10.

DEPTH 6/10

The game does have a pretty good amount of depth as the world that you play in is quite large and is broken into multiple levels but that's about it. As far as I know there's no hidden secrets aside for one or two, no special customization, nothing else that makes the game bigger because the little that's there is really enough to wow you. My grade for depth is going to be another 6 out of 10.

DIFFICULTY 9
The game is very very very very very very hard. That's all there is to it. Just getting the gravity switching down can be pretty challenging because anything can go wrong and you will most likely die multiple times. Heck, if the game was easy, then there wouldn't be dozens of checkpoints scattered around the map for when you die. This isn't really the kind of game you can master unless you play it over and over for many hours. Its easily one of the hardest games I have played in a while and my grade for difficulty is going to be a 9.

Overall the game is really a gem, the developers have done a great job with literally every aspect of this game as its fun to look at, listen to, and play. Its a pretty small game that packs a real punch and it also happens to be quite cheap so if you get a chance to play it, I suggest that you do. My overall grade for this game is going to be an 8.5 out of 10.

Dark sword Z : I dont know if the game is still included in the humble bundle but if it is then you should get it through there and save a ton of money. If its not anymore, the game is still pretty cheap in general so there's really no point in not having the game already so fo and get it.

Dark sword Z : Dont say it sounds fun, you're going to jinx it all. I mean, it is a fun game, but I would probably bet that you would give up in frustration at least a couple of times before you actually start having fun. You really need to spend a lot of time getting used to the game.

That game is mah jam. I loved everything about it! The story, gameplay, music, all off it was brilliant. I have it on Steam and Android, and hope to get it on 3DS as well sometime.

zanderlex : Your review was nice and concise, as well! I liked it, although I would add a bit to the depth section. There are user levels, a level editor and 20 trinkets scattered throughout the game. However, the game can be completed in fewer than 15 minutes (it took me 3.5 hours or so lol )

supernerd117 : I'm guessing that you may have watched some of the speedruns of the game? I cant believe that there are some people who can do it so quickly, it's just not possible. I know I never beat the game myself, but hundreds of hours of watching videos means it's awesome.

Great review zander! It was short and very understanding which I like. I haven't ever heard this game but after reading your review I definitely will consider getting it in the future. It seems pretty fun.
