How many times did my sis and I get in trouble for getting caught with the old tv remote watching Beavis and Butthead. When we got older, though, they allowed us to buy the video game on Super Nintendo. Good thing they never actually sat and watch us play the game! We would argue over who got to be Butthead since he could throw Beavis, which was too hilarious because we would always throw each other into harms way.
I give the game an overall rating of 8.9 because it's humorous and very enjoyable.. I think with the graphics, music, sound, and story all came together nicely.
The graphics I rate 7 because many other SNES games have better visual, and to me the faces seem a bit off, but in an odd way, that makes them a little more humorous.
The sound I give a 9 because I found the music and more so the sound effects were original and didn't drown out the character of the game. It isn't what you would expect, but it flows with original character of the show. (The sound effects stick with you a long while.)
For the addictiveness, I rate 7 because this is a game when you start it, you want to go through until the ending, but after you beat it, you are pretty much ready to move on to the next game. I have played it many times, but those times were spaced apart by years.
I found the story the story to be a bit lame, so I gave a 7. I enjoyed the path of each Channel in the game, but I think that it could have been brought together a little more, better than they were just going from one place to another to get cash for the Gwar concert. There are some mini games within the game that are fun, though. I think there should have been more of those throughout.
There isn't that much depth. I rate It's depth a 6 because you do have to go through a few stages to win the game, but once you get the hang of the game, you can run through it really quickly.
And as or difficulty, I rate 6. As I mentioned above, once you get the hang of the game, it's pretty easy to beat unless you change the difficulty, but it's pretty much just the same thing. You win by paying attention to patterns in foes.
If you like Beavis and Butthead, you definitely have to try out this classic, you will laugh your butt off. The music is great, the sound effects and boss sounds are ridiculous. The end, well, it gave me nightmares as a kid, but it's worth spending a few hours to beat the game.
