I agree with literally everything you said . Oh, and I personally find Hyrule Warriors awesome. The only negative thing I can think of is the fact that the addiction Green and I have with it occasionally leads us to missing out on lunch and will probably be the cause of our future deaths by forcing us to unknowingly succumb to starvation.

I know that my suggestions would make it more like other games, but that's what I want- minus the stupid "Mature" garbage that really just drags an otherwise good game down. (You know what I mean.)

Plus I like the races that they've used and introduced.

Zoras, Gorons, Sheikah.

It would make it different from what it is now, but Sonic did the same thing with really good success. Sonic Adventure 2 got amazing reviews, though games after that were only so, so. Really, it's because they were rushed though, not because the concepts where bad or anything like that.


Also, look at the D20 system. Many different RPGs use it, but people like it because it works.

I'm not saying you shouldn't try to be a little different, as indeed, Hyrule warriors has it's differences from Dynasty Warriors. But that's the thing. Learn from people who are doing better than you. I get ideas from other stuff all the time, and it's really helped me. Just cause you're the best, doesn't mean you can't learn more either.

I think the series has grown far to stale. It shouldn't just outright adopt other systems from other franchises, but there are plenty of things Zelda could learn from.

That is my opposition.

Sword legion : I read my post again, and realized I made a mistake: when I said they should not change any of the points you mentioned, I actually meant that the sword system shouldn't be changed (Master Sword? The legend revolves around it), and that the dungeons need to be left in the game. Also the green tunic needs to be the main one, because it's become iconic, the main indentifier of Link even. Additional tunics throughout the game are good, just keep the green one the main one.

I would like to see the Hyrule guards actually doing something (TP got close to that, but never followed through until the final area). It only makes sense really. I don't like how in many RPGs (not just Zelda) everyone seems oblivious to their impending doom. "Oh you're saving the world from it's imminent doom? That's good. But first, could you round up my sheep and go buy me some eggs from the travelling salesman three cities away?" Seriously? NO, I CAN'T! lol

I could go on, but my opening statements really summed up my thoughts on it: no weapon upgrades above Master Sword, keep the triforce, and keep the dungeons. Also please no "party" system where I have people tagging along with me. Keep it Zelda.

On a final note, I would LOVE to see co-op multiplayer options in the main mode. And maybe a secondary mode that allows me to (as you suggested) replay dungeons and other battle arena style challenges. Finally, allow the skipping of cutscenes. I couldn't agree with you more on the cutscenes part. Cutscenes are great, but after a few playthroughs I usually want to skip at least some of them.

Oh yeah, I'm not saying we need a party always tagging around. (that annoys me too.) But I really would have liked to see the resistance force in Twilight Princess do SOMETHING other than just tell you where you need to go. . . and take out a bunch of enemies that you would have enjoyed fighting more in the last dungeon. They really should have been playable.

And I'm not saying remove dungeons, but I do think they should be cut down a lot. (Just not realistic enough and lazy plot wise. . .)

Yeah. Sidequests are pretty silly at times. At least when you're a child though, People wouldn't think your saving the world, so you should be fine.

Soldiers do need to be doing something though.

And with that, I believe that would end my post.

Thanks for a decent conversation here though. Sometimes I wonder what in the world I am doing on this site. There really isn't anything good to post about. . . .
