I actually haven't seen the new star trek movie yet...But in all honesty, I don't really enjoy the star wars movies that much. They're alright, but certainly not in my top ten movies. The new star trek movie, on the other hand, looks really good.

...Just no.

Star Trek is about a starship in space that voyages and goes to strange planets

Star Wars is about rebels trying to overthrow an empire.

If anything Lucas was inspired by the Akira Kurosawa movies and the Flash Gordon serials.

Star Wars was just better.
Name one note worthy villain from the Star Trek world.
Kahn and Dr. Brown no contest to Vader and the Bubba Fett.
Sure the TV series for Star Trek were good (except Enterprise, Bakula killed the franchise.)
Anikin was a whinny b**** though.

Star Wars for many reasons.

1. It had a better portrayal of the space idea
2. NOBODY made fun of you for watching Star Wars, but EVERYBODY LAUGHED AT YOU for watching Star Trek. And the ONLY people who DIDN'T were OTHER Star Trek geeks!

Luckily, I'm proud to say I've never seen a single episode of Star Trek.

Though it hurts me to say that I know a guy who's 38 or so years old and watches Star Trek almost every single night that I know of...

Maybe because Star Trek has multiple spinoffs?

Who are the people who make fun of you for watching Star Trek? People who think Transformers is the greatest thing to come out this generation.

Maybe because they're geeks because the show has a whole big universe, characters, enemies, language, and a lot more.

The Star Trek series doesn't have multiple fixtures EVERY DVD release.

How can you be proud that you have never watched Star Trek? You are missing an important part of life... Also, you can't try to criticize Star Trek when you have never watched a single episode...
