Well, I've had a good night's rest, so let's get on with the Pac Man action! We shall be moving on to world 3 now, the space zone! Enter that first rocket to enter the space race! All right, you should see something of a laser wall behind you. Hit the yellow button to deactivate it. Now you can grab that extra life back there. Jump over the laser, it's a real burner! Towards the back wall, you should see some pac dots. Follow them! Well look at that! We found the letter "P". Now then, moving along. Watch the strange alien electropus! You have to bounce him just right! After that, take the rev roll ramp to the other side, you will see two more of those alien things appear. Beat them and hit the switches. The yellow one should let you through the laser wall, temporarily! Once through the door, be sure to watch the laser! After reaching to the checkpoint, you'll want to head to the right. All right, here, you'll find some moving lasers. Be sure to jump those, and watch your timing. After that, you will see a yellow switch. This swiitch activates a harmless laser floor. But if your not quick, you could fall into the depths of space! On the next platform, you will see flickering lasers, time it right to move past them unharmed. Then jump up onto the steps, and still watching your timing jump off it to the left and grab the letter "A". After that, you will come to some more of those moving lasers, followed by a couple of those weird alien things. Hit them with a b-bounce and hit the yellow switch and move on. After you get past the door, you should see a cherry door. The crates on the steps have 2 apples and 1 lemon. You will see a rev roll platform with a laser in front of it. Wait for the laser to disappear, then roll! On the other side you will locate a galaxian door. Hit the yellow switch there and quickly climb the little platforms to reach the top, where you will find the cherry and galaxian needed. Thankfully, the yellow switch not only turns the laser off, but it directs its energy to give you a floor to walk back. Now you can grab those. And head to the maze! Watch the lasers there! All right, now that those things are out of the way, let's go back up top! Whack the aliens. You should see a platform that folds in and out of the wall. Watch the lasers and use that platform. At the top, you will have a row of vertically moving lasers. So be careful. From there you should find to wall-folding platforms that will get you to the next ledge. Hit that crate there, you will get a fruit, and the letter "M" appears. Grab it and head for that checkpoint. Hit the yellow switch and move it! Once you get past that, you should come to a long room. Right at the beginning, you can see a banana door, and a pressed blue switch. Watch the lasers and carefully make your way across to the other switch. Then, once you hit that one, go back to the original switch. Hit that, and the floor will lower to reveal a mini-maze and the needed banana. As well as a space helmet wearing ghost! Grab everything you need, and get the letter "A". Then head back to the end and hit the yellow switch to temporarily deactivate the door. After this point you should come to an open area where you will see another down blue switch. Jump on the platforms to reach the other side, and b-bounce those aliens sitting between the last couple platforms. Hit the blue switch on the other side, then go back and hit the first one. A bunch of fruit will appear over the platforms! Bounce and grab them all on your way back. Then, once on the other side, hit the green button and a bunch of ghosts will appear, along with the means to eat them! You'll see a bell door. Of course, the one fruit we have not collected already! All right, head back towards the blue switch and over to the steps. Carefully climb them, as you have blinking lasers all around. About three fourths of the way up, you should see a bell behind a solid green laser. Continue climbing to the top. After you have dealt with the alien up there, hit the yellow switch and go back quickly and grab the bell, so you can open the door and get the final letter. Then, just move on a little further and you are at the end of the level! New minigame! For this one, your best strategy is to go up and down the rows of the laser floor. This way, you will get the fruit faster. At the very end the crate you see has an extra life in it! All right, on to level 2! Far out! Hit all the jelly alien things. Grab the strawberry and cherry and hit the yellow switch to move past the door. Oh yeah, that crate on that other platform has some pac dots. So you can grab them if you want to, but it is not necessary. Avoid the purple lasers and exit the hall. After that, you should see a few steps, with lasers that move very quickly to the top. You'll have to be just as quick to survive that one. After that, there are a few platforms for you to jump. The last one has a alien sitting atop a switch. Hit them both, and a laser floor will appear so that you can safely get the letter "P". Move on past the checkpoint towards the front of your screen, and you will find an off colored floor area, careful! Ghosts are about to appear. Hit that green switch to your right, and then you can gobble down those ghosts. Now that they are out of our way, we can move on up! Head over to the two blinking lasers, and advance up the platforms. At the top, take care of that alien and hit the switch. The bridge will extend so that you can get to the next platform! Once there, you will need to time your rev roll up the rev ramp so that you do not hit the laser. You should come to a smaller platform. Towards the back of your screen, you will see a galaxian door. But we still need the galaxian, so we will need to move to the right. Careful though, the platforms ahead are being bombarded by meteorites! Once you get past that, you should come across another weird alien creature. This little guy is blue and produces a force field in front of him. Use a charged Pac Dot Shot to get him. Remember, hold down the circle button, if you have enough pac dots, it will charge, until pac man starts spinning around. The blast from that charge shot will destroy him. Now that you have dealt with him, you can advance up the stairs and get the galaxian that is in the crate. You will find it as far to the right and front of that top platform as is possible. Now we can go back and do the maze. The safest way to get back is to b-bounce up the platforms you came down on. Of course, you will still want to watch your timing! Those meteorites just won't quit falling! All right, once you are back to the platform where you first landed on this side, hit the yellow button so that you can cross over to the galaxian door. Maze time! You'll really need to be careful of the lasers here. They are such a pain when you are running from ghosts! Now that you finished the maze, hit the yellow button to get back into the game, and advance to the platform where you got the galaxian. Towards the back of it is a green switch. Hit it, and ride the pac dot chain that appears! Down on the next platform, we are going to have a helivator challenge! There is a laser that bounces back and forth the whole way to the top. You need to get up there! Hit the green switch to summon the helivator. Take it the whole way to the top, and hit that blue switch. You can see Pac Professor trapped in a cage, so you know that you need a key! Try to go to the left and right on your way down and grab all the tiems that you can. Inside the first little tunnel at the top on your right is the letter "A" . At least grab that. Then, at the bottom, you will see that the other blue switch has been activated. Bounce it and a key will appear. I think you know what to do now, my friends! Up at the top, after you have rescued the professor. You will notice an apple door. There was no in any of those little tunnels down the sides, so hit the green button, and cross the bridge. Give those aliens a good one-two and smash that crate, the apple door holds the letter "C". Back on the other platform, you will see another folding platform setup. Then, it appears that the next ledge just extends to the back, so we shall see what is back there. The two crates on the ground hold health wedges. Then there is a new platform setup. There are two platforms. The one on the ground has a blinking laser shooting out of it, while the second folds out of the wall. You can stand or bounce on the corner of the first platform and not get hurt, so it is a good spot to wait for the other platform to open. Once you get to the next platform, the crate you smash will cause the letter "M" to appear over the edge of the folding platform, grab it and we can move on! Once you get back to where you where and go to the right, the first platform you land on has a pressed blue button. We all know what that means by now! The platforms after that have meteorites hitting them so be careful. Towards the back of your screen on the last hover platform, you will see a laser floor platfrom that is not activated, that has a crate on it. If memory serves me right, it only has dots, or an extra life. (I say only an extra life, because you will probably lose it trying to get it. After the floor disappears, you might be able to jump on the edge, if it was not for the fact that the platform tries to dump you! I cannot help but feel that whoever designed that there was just a bit sadistic.) Anyways, when you go back to the other switch, it will cause the letter "A" and more fruit to appear between the platforms, grab them and watch out for the meteorites! After you get back to where the second blue switch is, hit the yellow switch to deactivate the laser and climb to the very top. The very top platform has a banana that you will need to open the banana door and get the final letter of this level! Past the door, you will see a ledge that goes to the front of the screen. At the end of it is a crate with an extra life. And if you look down to your left, you can see another ledge with another extra life on it. You can drop down to it carefully by getting closer to the edge, letting pac man drop, make him grab the edge, and fall against the wall down to the extra life. If you are careful, you should be just fine. Once you get back to the top, you can see a bridge area. If memory serves me right here, there are a few ghosts there, so watch your back. All right, you prees the green button to get the ghosts to appear, and the whole platform adjusts to a maze form. It really is not necessary to press the button, but the ghosts keep regenerating, and you can get a higher score. I am not sure whether I mentioned this or not already, but you get an extra life for every 10,000 points that you score in a level. Well, moving on. Jump on the platforms after the maze. And...Level complete! All right, here we go with level three! Gimme Space! Immediately, as soon as you are in the level, go to the platform on your left. Hit that yellow switch, and a warp tunnel is activated. It will take you below, where you can collect the letter "P". Hit the yellow switch at the bottom and warp back up! Hit the yellow switch, and go forward, do not waste your time with the crates on the blue laser floor unless you need health wedges. There is another way across though... If you are daring enough, you can avoid the laser floor altogether and just hit the laser platform instead. There are three folding platforms that are shooting a laser out of it. If you time it right, you can just bounce on the flat side! all right, enough about that... On the other side, you will see one of those b-boings, hit it! After this, you will need to cross a few platforms. There are aliens in between. If you bounce on the platform, you can get high enough to bounce the aliens safely and get across. After you get past that, there are a bunch of hover platforms that you can climb. The b-bounce is probably the most efficient way to climb up these. The the first b-boing that you come to, take it to get to the next platfrom, then jump back down to your right. You can see that the platform extends more to the right, and it hides the letter "A". Grab it and resume the climb. Also, I forgot to mention the crate right before it. You might want to gab that apple. You never know if you might need it! On the next b-boing, you can take it and then rev roll onto the platform behind it. Then you can grab the strawberry. Finally! At the top! Okay, go past the checkpoint to the crate. DO NOT BOUNCE IT JUST YET!!! Right behind it you can see a little tower. On top of this tower is the letter "C" Bounce off the box so that you can get on top of it. Then dismount and grab the banana. To the right, watch out for the meteorite platforms. They will be destroyed as soon as the meteorite hits it. So be sure to jump these! Proceed forward to hit the blue switch. After you hit the first one, the second one will pop up, but I would not hit it just yet. Go out onto the now-stable platform, collect what you can, then come back and hit the other switch. All right, it looks like the first position allows you to grab the fruit. Grab it all so you can hit the next switch and pop the power pellets! Then, you should rev roll into the warp tunnel! After that, you will need to climb up the tower on only one side so that you do not hit the laser. My recommendation is that you take the left up to the top. Once you are at the top, hit the green switch that you see. Head first to the left. You will not need to worry about the meteorites on the way down. Deal with the blue aliens, and grab the "M". On the way back, be sure to jump the gaps created by the meteorites. The continue heading to the right, so that we can find something to open the bell door. All right, heading to the right, you will go across a slim path. At its end you will need to bounce on the aliens and cross the platforms. On your way back, you can bounce on the little electro-spheres to get back. Anyways, just before you get to the other side, you will see a crate that has the needed bell. Now you can get the letter "A" behind the door. Now, move on to the right past the spot where you found the bell and past the checkpoint. The crate you see has pac dots inside. Grab them if you need some extra ammo! All right, use the b-boings to climb to the top. But do not stay up there, there are things to collect down below. You can use your position to access the items on the side. The first tunnel to the right up top has the last letter that you need "N". After that, continue your climb down, collecting the items as you go. But watch out for the Aliens and meteorites on top of the tunnels! Once you get everything, climb back up to the top. Deal with the aliens, get the item in the crate--just a lemon. Okay, there are two green switches. Experience teaches me, that the one on the left will unleash ghosts, and the one on the right, that is close to the drawbridge, will lower it. Yep...I was right! You have to take the narrow bridge out to the right as far as you can go. Then, at the end, you will notice a electro-sphere. Bounce on the bridge, then on it to get to the top level. Watch out though, these platforms expand and shrink! Take these all the way to the left, where you can find the galaxian. Once the platform is fully expanded, rev roll off towards the direction of the galaxian door. This one has meteorites falling throughout, so it is not as annoying. After you get out of there. Go out towards the front of the area. On top of the tunnel where you got the "N" Go straight out to the end of it and wait. You should see a platform expand. That is your ticket out of this level! Follow the platfroms to the end and you are good to go. Now for the boss level! King Galaxian. you go to the right a bit, and jump on that little rocket platform. There is quite a fight before you even get to fight the boss. You can fly back and forth, up and down. Try to collect fruit, avoid getting hit. And shoot down anything in your way. Happy hunting! Caution, the galaxians will shoot at you! They actually move in a manner more reminiscent of Galaga. After you beat the first wave of galaxians, you will come upon an asteroid field. Watch those big rocks and keep blasting! After this, you will get a wave of aliens inside the asteroid field. Careful, some of them can shield themselves against your fire. Once you see something resembling a space base, you are getting close to the boss. Keep your wits about you. At the end of the base you will see what looks something like a giant alien head detach from the base. King Galaxian is here. All right, the way to defeat his is a good poke in the eye! Watch that tractor beam. Stay as far back from it as you can. If you happen to run into it, just keep moving, and you should be able to break free. After you destroy one of his eyes, King Galaxian will back up so that you cannot shoot him and send in a few galaxian waves. After you shoot out the second eye, he starts shooting at you constantly, and he sends a few more waves of galaxians. Great, now he is sending in his shielded warriors while shooting at me. If you die, you will have to start back before the battle began, so it can be frustrating. Just hang in there and keep fighting. It is a little easier to destroy the outer eyes first, that way, as he starts moving more drastically towards the latter half of the battle, it is easier to hit. At least for me it is. All right! Finally got him! Now, this boss gave you more fruit than on other bosses, so get some extra lives with the fruit slots, and that wraps up world 3 100% See ya next time! Follow the platfroms to the end and you are good to go. Now for the boss level! King Galaxian. you go to the right a bit, and jump on that little rocket platform. There is quite a fight before you even get to fight the boss. You can fly back and forth, up and down. Try to collect fruit, avoid getting hit. And shoot down anything in your way. Happy hunting! Caution, the galaxians will shoot at you! They actually move in a manner more reminiscent of Galaga. After you beat the first wave of galaxians, you will come upon an asteroid field. Watch those big rocks and keep blasting! After this, you will get a wave of aliens inside the asteroid field. Careful, some of them can shield themselves against your fire. Once you see something resembling a space base, you are getting close to the boss. Keep your wits about you. At the end of the base you will see what looks something like a giant alien head detach from the base. King Galaxian is here. All right, the way to defeat his is a good poke in the eye! Watch that tractor beam. Stay as far back from it as you can. If you happen to run into it, just keep moving, and you should be able to break free. After you destroy one of his eyes, King Galaxian will back up so that you cannot shoot him and send in a few galaxian waves. After you shoot out the second eye, he starts shooting at you constantly, and he sends a few more waves of galaxians. Great, now he is sending in his shielded warriors while shooting at me. If you die, you will have to start back before the battle began, so it can be frustrating. Just hang in there and keep fighting. It is a little easier to destroy the outer eyes first, that way, as he starts moving more drastically towards the latter half of the battle, it is easier to hit. At least for me it is. All right! Finally got him! Now, this boss gave you more fruit than on other bosses, so get some extra lives with the fruit slots, and that wraps up world 3 100% See ya next time! |
