We generally get along great as long as we don't spend too much time with eachother. My family is still dysfunctional so for my own sanity I've had to put up boundaries which include not going around as often. I'm really close with my niece (her father doesn't come around much as he's in and out of jail - currently in lol) so I try to be around as much as possible even if it's bringing her over to my house (I've recently introduced her to Paper Mario haha) . My sister and I are weird - we can fight one day and be okay the next. But for sanity, I try to stay back.

 I'm really quick to react, so when I notice my temper rising with any of them I step back and go for a walk or leave for the day (I'm still working on recognizing this). I realized during my last fight with my sister that even if she says something upsetting, how I react isn't her fault - it's mine. I can choose to go over the top or I can handle it in a healthy way.

I found when my mother past. That she was the glue that held us together. We ate Christmas dinner together because you made it and wanted all the kids together. And when she was no longer here, We all just did are own thing. But do we get along? We call each other on birthdays and holidays. So I guess we do. But it's not the same.

I used to get along with my family but now that we're all older and married it seems like we can't get along.

One of my brothers is a drunk and a drug addict who wants nothing to do with the rest of us.

My other brother is divorced because he left his wife for another woman. Now he plays the victim card all the time because his life is hard except he brought this all upon himself. His new wife also has no patience for me or my wife. Apparently anything we do or say is offensive to her. It gets really annoying.

My sister is in some weird dysfunctional relationship with a guy who is technically her husband but they haven't lived together in about 7 years. She's the only one I can stand but it's tough to be around her when the "husband" disappears or goes on binges.

Honestly, the only members of my family I can stand are my parents. They are the only ones that consistently treat me well now. It's tough on my parents to not have their kids get along but there isn't much I can do at this point. My siblings have issues and they refuse to deal with them.

Eh, getting along is what happens at best considering where I stand. I have a very distant relationship with my family right now. I was abusing drugs for about 8 years, and despite 8 months of clean time, they still keep their distance. I don't blame them or anything, but it would be nice to be shown just a little encouragement or affection. We're all civil with each other, but other than the fact my sister and her family live next door, we're not exactly "close knit."

I get along with my family relatively well. My brother can be a real pain sometimes though. He's twelve but acts like a 2 year old. And no, that is not an over-exaggeration. He seriously is like a cursing 2 year old whenever he is playing GTA online or something like that. I don't know how my parents can tolerate him when he's like that. >.>  My mom and dad are married- have been forever as for as I know. I do love my family despite all the rough patches we may have.
