All right, I've been playing this for a while, and I wanted to open a spot where we could discuss the best way to play megaman and discuss various tricks and what not. I am not very good at this game but so far, I was able to beat all 6 robot masters in Megaman 1, bubble man in megaman 2, and centaur and knight man in megaman 6. I've figured out a good method for getting past them. While I feel that Bombman is the easiest one to beat, his ability is really only useful to me against gutsman. I like to take Cutman down first. My basic strategy is usually to trap him on the top of the platform so he can't really move. This usually works, but sometimes he gets away. After defeating him, I take on elecman. Within the elecman stage is the magnet beam which you can use to get across precarious gaps. However, this handy item is blocked by blocks which gutsman can throw.  Beat elecman with the rolling cutter and use the thunder beam to break these blocks. Trust me, it makes the rest of the game so much easier! And of course, my next target would be bombman to take out gutsman. Iceman is easier take out without utilizing the weakness, so I take him first, and then fire man. In megaman 6, I found that the easiest one to fight was Knight man (even though I actually beat him second, I would recommend doing him first.) Before knight man, I took centaur man, mostly because of his stats. But boy, he still was a tricky one. I had to figure out how to stop him from his teleport/flash combo. after a bit of trial and error, I discovered that if i could shoot him before he deployed flash, he would be unable to use it. And thus was able to beat him. Bubbleman? Not really sure how I beat him, just kept jumping and shooting.

If you do not own the megaman anniversary collection, but have knowledge of any one of the games on it that might be useful, I encourage you to post it here. I hope that the little bit I discovered was not redundant knowledge that everyone already knows. Let me know if it was any help, and also...please help me!
