I'm not really that big a fan or the Taken series, but I had to see this one because it was a special event. I only saw the first one and I did like it bit I never saw the second one. The 3rd movie came out the day after my 21st birthday bit did have the night premiere on my birthday so I decided to see it and I really liked it, I think it was my favorite of the three.
I liked the story, it involves somebody killing the ex wife of the main guy played by Liam Neeson and everyone thinks it is him. He goes on a long journey trying to stay away from the cops and also try's to figure out who did it. After a lot of action filled scenes, the husband of the victim says he knows who it is and that she was killed because he owed money to somebody. Eventually that guy is killed but then it is discovered that he didn't do it and that it was actually the current husband who had done it. Throughout the film there was also one really smart cop who while trying to arrest Neesons character, was also piecing together why it could not be him and I would have to say that all the scenes with him were the best scenes.
I didn't really pay any attention to the music, so I don't really know if there's anything to say about it, but for me, if there was special music or not wouldn't have made a difference. As for the acting, the movie had a star in Liam Neeson, it wouldn't have been the same if he had not been in it because he's what makes the movie so special. I doubt that if he was not in it, the movie would be as fun to watch. I don't know who played the smart cop, but he also had a flawless performance in the film and made the movie really good.
The effects team also worked really hard on this and I think this could be one of the best action films of 2015 because of all the great stunts that were pulled, well, behind Kingsman of course. There were various fights and car chases that were all beautiful to watch.
Overall, if you like action movies, I say that you have to watch this, I loved it.
