Pit Fighter ,is a two player fighting game that was made for the super-nintendo entertainment system made by "THQ" an ex- videogame making company that released pit fighter for the super-nintendo in 1991 after its release of the arcade version in the year 1990.Pit fighter is no doubt one of the most ridiculously complicated super-nintendo fighting games ever made ,harder than metal itself, and it is nothing like the fighting games that you are used to like Capcoms "Street Fighter"  or the SNK fighting games ,or any of your favorite fighting games you have played before. You just press start at the title screen with no options to change the difficulty,or anything like passwords to put in ,to be able to start where you have left off before, you just start the game ,and that's it,arcade style rules like if you're at the arcades ,start and just hope for the best. After you press start, you will be given three different choices to choose from.Three different brawling characters ,such as an ex-pro wrestler named "Buzz" a third degree blackbelt martial artist named "Kato" and a kickboxing champion simply named as "Ty" as you start off in a match ,you will find that pit fighter is extremely difficult as you will find yourself doing nothing but mashing buttons all the time repeatedly over and over again trying to preform atleast one special ,or trying to connect with your jabs and kicks. You will be given numbers (160) as energy that go down to zero, and your opponent has (220) for energy .That does'nt sound fair enough for a fighting game at all in my view . There are only three arenas you will ever see in the entire game. And try to protect yourself from getting hit too much too, because the more energy you lose, the more difficult the next match will be ,using the same amount of energy even if it just says (2) and then, get ready to lose and start all over again. Pit fighter reminds me so much of LJN's "terminator 2 judgment day" for the super-nintendo in so many ways. And these are all the reasons on why i find the same issues that are very similar to terminator 2 .[One] very awkward controls and trying to learn and figure them out while your opponent is hitting you repeatedly nonstop .[Two] same repetitive bgm music everywhere you go.[Three] stiff animations.[Four] you have numbers going down to zero as life energy .[Five] once you lose all the numbers on your energy ,that's it GAME OVER,no continues ,very similar to how things go in the terminator game .Everything that came out wrong with terminator 2 judgment day for super-nintendo  ,is the same issues with pit fighter .The graffics almost looks as if it wanted to copy the graffics of acclaims and midways "Mortal Kombat" but not as great .I prefer the arcade version of pit fighter over the super- nintendo version if for any reason i would to play pit fighter .It is superior because of its graffics, simpler fighting controls but still challenging though, but was atleast a little much playable.Pit fighter in a way kind of reminds me of the 1990's movie called "Lion Heart" with Jean -claude Van Damme because of the crowds ,and everything in the environment .When i saw the movie lion heart,i thought about this game and wondered why they did'nt call it pit fighter ,but anywho ,on another note, this game could've been amazing if only it had simpler controls, better soundtrack, more arenas, and options menu with passwords atleast. In my view, even though i may find this game extremely impossible to beat,i do know that there are a lot of gamers out there that can actually manage to beat this whole entire game in less than nine minutes. For those advanced professionals this game can actually be a little fun in some way ,but this game still lacks a lot of what a good super- nintendo fighting game should be ..Pit fighter is deffinetly one of the only fighting games i cannot manage to beat ,besides the 2d fighting game that is called "Double Dragon V" for the super-nintendo ,but played a lot back in the day.Anywho,to top it all off,i say that pit fighter is serioulsy a really tough title in the super-nintendo library, but is always worth a try if you have never played the game of pit fighter before and ONLY if you're really that curious to find out and see for yourself on how this game really is .Overall:2.8
