Ok I put this in here because this is where we talk about ourselves. We've all had those time we hear rumors of others and either find them funny as hell or we are like oh my god shocked by it. So here's my questions and I can't wait to see what y'all answer with :
What is the dumbest rumor at anytime in your life that you have heard about yourself ? Also what was your reaction to it ?

This isn't necessarily a rumor, or something funny, but the stupidest thing I have ever heard of is that I was not a good fit for a company because I used to be in the military, and that I had the mindset of a trained killer, and that was bad for business.

I think it's very rare for rumors to be spread about me, because almost everyone I meet in school is nice to me. There's only one rumor I've ever known was spread about me.

Last summer, someone made up a dumb rumor that someone slapped me at a Cathedral (giant church) in Washington D.C. (A lot of students went to Washington D.C. for a trip for my school) What actually happened was he merely tickled me at that Cathedral.

I wasn't angry about the rumor at all, in fact it benefited me because a lot of people heard about that rumor and were showing that they cared about me.

I don't know if I ever had a lot of rumors spread about me simply because I used to stay by myself exclusively and avoided interactions with others.  Kids probably talked about me all the time, but I would have no clue what they said.  The only one I ever knew was one I started myself... and that was to get attention and lasted all of five minutes.  Even if I knew what they were, I wouldn't care as an adult.  Rumors and gossip are total meaningless.

I think one of the most shocking rumors I've heard was the year before last, at my old job.  Apparently, for years...coworkers were telling others my husband and I were separated and not living with each other.  Since I NEVER discuss .... well, ANYTHING, with my coworkers, this totally confused and shocked me.  I did some prying from the person that told me, and she said that people started the gossip simply because I didn't wear a wedding ring. This was silly, considering I had NEVER worn my wedding ring, due it not fitting. Why people suddenly decided to take notice after four years of my employment, I'll never figure out.
