De Blob 2 is the colorful sequel to the somewhat plainer De Blob. De Blob 2 sports bigger and better worlds, a more in depth story with more humor. Better puzzles and probably more to do. So let's dive in and see as Blob colors his way...even into outer space!

Graphics: 9. The graphics are even better than before and part of the reason for that is the inclusion and design of various worlds and taking the last portion of the game into outer space, where you try to defeat the Comrade (why do they call him that!?) Black and his evil anti-color hypno-ray! The last level has you bouncing around through space and coloring an asteroid field, which was awesome! I dare say that this came very close to the feel of Mario Galaxy (on this level anyway!)

Sound: 9. The sound was every bit as good as the first one, and you get to pick the tunes for different levels. The differnce for this game, though, is that you have a set of tunes for each level from which you can choose. Once again, sounds were good, and fairly realistic, which is interesting for a game as fantastical (I hope it is okay to say that!) as this one.

Addictiveness: 8. this installment is definitely more addictive than its predecessor. I mean, everything just seems bigger and better in my opinion! I love the gravity puzzles that you can find throughout the game, and the storyline is much more intriguing.

Story: 9. A new cult has appeared. The blancs hate all color and have embraced ink as the way to be truly happy. They attack colored being--especially you...on sight. Led by the not-so-mysterious Papa Blanc (it really is quite easy to see who he really is) they spread their colorless message throughout the world. The story in general just went bigger than the last one. Whereas the last game, Bif was captured; in De Blob 2 all of your friends and your blimp are captured. Last time, you boarded Black's ship in space, this time, you fly through an asteroid field and strike his space station. Like I said, everything is just bigger and better.

Depth: 9. I think I have already explained this throughout the review, but this game has more depth to it. The main goal of every level is to raise the energy level high enough to get out of the level, but outside of that there is plenty of stuff to do. You can take your sweet time doing all the extra challenges, painting everything in the level, and even doing the bonus missions. Besides that, the main level itself just has more to offer with all the extra stuff throughout the game that just improves on the first installment.

Difficulty: 8 The game can be fairly challenging--most of the challenge just comes from trying to find everything! There are more bosses and enemies to fight than before, and more dangerous tasks to pull off. The game is not extremely difficult, but challenging enough to hold you back for quite some time.

Overall: 8.8 I really feel that the makers tried to kick things up a notch or two in this game, and their effort shows. Even for a game where fighting consists of slamming color into your enemies, this game really turned out nicely. I love the extras that they threw in there, such as more kinds of floors that could harm you, upgrades for de Blob, more enemies, more worlds, and all the rest. You will not find me playing this game everyday (I am much more interested in Metroid!), but it really deserves a playthrough.

Why? Why did this have to be on the Wii? :'( lol I really want to play this game now.

Nice review here. I like that you say what you want to say, and you're done, rather than feeling the need to drag an extra thousand words out of it. Long reviews are fine (I'd be a hypocrite to say otherwise, given my review length) as long as they feel like the detail belongs. Your reviews are easy to read because of the straight approach they take, and they still deliver the needed content to let us know what we should expect. Good job.

Eirinn : Well, there is a version on the xBox, but I do not know if that helps... yeah, I just did not have as much material for this one, so I made it a little shorter than my normal mile long reviews. I pretty much have done all my favorites on which I have a ton of stuff to say. Thanks for the compliment. I was not sure whether or not a shorter review would be appreciated as much!
