Hello Everybody, I am Zombie.  Since that is somewhat of a popular name, I have adapted the "Medieval" to sort of personalize my user name to fit my personality.

I will be 40 this year (and not all that happy about it) but still a kid when it comes to gaming.  I started with Atari 2600, Colecovision and Intelevision.  When Nintendo NES came out, I could not believe how incredible it was.  I have owned the above systems plus Sega Master System, Genesis, Sega CD, NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Game Cube, Wii, Playstation 1, 2 & 3, X-Box and Xbox 360.

My 3 favorite video game genres are Role-playing, Strategy and Adventure.  Some of my favorite Old-School games are: Master of Monsters, Herzog Zwei, Phantasy Star I-IV, Final Fantasy I-VII, Dragon Warrior I-IV, Romance of the Three Kingdoms I-III, Nobunaga's Ambition, Zelda and Super Mario Brothers.

If I was ever presented with a situation where I had to choose 1 video game system (cartridge only, no CD) and all the rest became unavailable to me, I would probably have a nervous breakdown.  After I got through that, I think I would have to choose the Super Nintendo.  That system likely has the most of my favorite Old-School games.  What system would you choose and why?

Anyways, I have been enjoying this site since I joined it yesterday, and it looks like I will be visiting regularly.  Feel free to send me a friend request if you think we could be friends.

Thank you very much!  I was there for the rebirth of the gaming industry.  When I started gaming, the industry was in decline.  Games were a dime a dozen and the programming was even cheaper, until Nintendo entered the scene and revitalized gaming.  I didn't get an NES until a couple years after they came out, but some of my friends had one.  I can remember pulling all nighters playing Mario, Zelda and Mike Tyson's Punchout.  My neighbor friend (when I was growing up) and I even started a newsletter for our friends, reviewing games and giving tips, printing high scores etc.  It was a lot of fun.

Thanks for replying.  So far I really enjoy it here.  The selection of games is HUGE and everyone I have met has been ultra cool.

Even though I have a small collection of games and systems, I can play all of them and more here without the hassle of switching out consoles and blowing in cartridges to get them to work,  Let's not forget the ol'  "wiggle the cartridge until you hit the right spot so you can close the lid and get to playing" routine for the NES.

Hello there, Zombie! Don't eat my brains out.

There are lots of people around your age so you don't have to worry about age as a factor when it comes to this website. Anyone from any age is welcomed on this website anyway. There is always that child inside of everyone. I hope that you will try to play many of the games that Vizzed has to offer.

Remember that you are free to ask questions or confirm any problems that you have on Vizzed.

Hello Ghostfishy, I wouldn't worry too much about the whole brain eating thing, I am more into bacon than brains.  I appreciate your reply and thank you for the warm welcome.  I came here for Final Fantasy II and have since checked out some of the other consoles like ColecoVision, Intellevision, Commodore 64 and the Apple II.  Those systems bring me back to my roots of gaming.

ThatBigGamer :   Thank you for the information.

I hope this works.

ghostfishy :   I am learning how to summon members to a thread.

This doesn't look any different in the preview, but here it goes.  We shall see if I did it correctly.
