I was an awesome procrastinator in school when I was in school and I found I did my work better too. The only instance I was really not so much like this was my math and history classes in 8th grade. I had over 100% in those classes...for some reason. Now I do it to avoid awkward situations...works quite well...lol.

ROCKYROCKEST : Procrastination has never played a role in my life. In fact, It's a major pet peeve of mine. I don't understand how one can handle waiting til the last minute to do something. I could never handle doing that.

Oh, yes, I am so "pro". I always procrastinate because I feel that some things are just too boring to do. I end up finishing whatever I have to do within two days of when it's due. Yes, I know that it's a bad habit, but come on. I don't think that I'll ever break out of that habit. I seem to get a good grade every time, so I might as well procrastinate. My phone usually distracts me. Now if I have to do something that might be a little "fun", I might just get it done. Because honestly, I don't want to do these kinds of things. Most of our school projects are really boring, and I don't think that anyone likes them - even the teachers' pets. The teachers want me to be their "pet", but I am not the type of person. However, procrastination does not play a role when it comes to homework.

Not anymore. When I have a task/when someone asks me do to something, I do it as soon as I can so I don't forget about it. Especially in school, doing your projects early helps you focus on something else afterwards.

Normally, it doesn't like I said in my last post, but lately it has been. I've had difficulty doing my work right away and I've been putting it off until nighttime. I've been able to work more effectively at nighttime too, so I keep doing it.

Me and procrastination have had a long and functional relationship. Ever since I have memory I have always procrastinated my way through life, especially through school life and work. Many could say that they have grown and learned to decrease their procrastination but I can proudly say that the opposite has happened, I have actually started procrastinating more, however, I got even better at it. I can promise that 50% of my homework is done at school the day that is due, and it works out because of the lucky way that my classes are set up. I have learned to be able to calculate how much amount of homework I can do in a certain amount of time so I can procrastinate and say I will do this either in advisory or in the third period aka U.S. History class. One of the reasons that I think this happens is because I work best when I am under pressure and I work more efficiently, where if I did my English with time it would take around 3 hours to write it, I can write an essay of similar quality in half an hour when I am under pressure, why is this?? Well, if you have ever taken the SAT and the ACT, or the AP Exams, those type of exams teach you how to use time effectively and work well under pressure, I have used those same concepts to make my procrastination more successful. I do not recommend procrastination, it is not healthy for one's state of mind since you live constantly under pressure, however, I will say that procrastinating is not completely bad if it is "Planned Procrastination" a term that I came up with when my teacher asked the class whether we procrastinated. There is only one thing where I would put off procrastination and that would be the developing of any application, job applications, academic programs applications, and college applications are things that are serious enough that not even my procrastination can enter into the equation. I do not recommend making procrastination part of your life, but if it already it is, then I recommend that you make it your ally like I have done.
