Okay okay I think most of us can agree that the Pokémon formula is getting a bit stale, it is almost the exact same every single time, with a few changes here and there, and why is it always exclusive to handheld systems!!?? Well imagine this, the game is on the Wii U, I would say the PS4 but we all know that would never happen, it is a complete 3D Pokémon world, there isn't much of a story, you simply have to get enough badges so you can take on the Pokémon league. There is also MORE then just 8 Pokémon gyms, that's how it seemed in the show, why not have more then 8 gyms so players can choose which ones they want to do, and the more badges you have, the more respect other trainers show you, leading to rewards and stuff so you have a reason to get all of the badges.


Keep a lot of the RPG elements of course, such as leveling and stuff. Now imagine this, your running through a beautiful field and look up at the sky and you see Pidgeys and Sparrow flying through the blue sky, you keep going and see a pack of Bulbasaur, you decide to catch one, with the push of a button you send out your Pokémon, in battles you have full control over your Pokémon, lets say the Pokémon you chose was Squirtle, you start attack the Bulbasaur and it attacks back, dodging and using your brain the Bulbasaur is on the brink of fainting, you want it to have some strength left so you throw your Pokeball at it............... YOU CAUGHT BULBASAUR.



Then all of the sudden, a giant angry Dragonite attacks you, you have no choice but to fight!


Just a bunch of stuff like that, full control over your Pokémon, maybe some online type of stuff, just a much more detailed and realistic Pokémon game, OH I KNOW THE PERFECT WAY TO DESCRIBE IT, a Skyrim Pokémon game, its The Elder Scroll but with Pokémon and its own unique twists, what do you think of this? Are you sick of the Pokémon game today? What other things do you think would make it cool? I would love to hear your thoughts!

You mean like the game Guardians Crusade? In this game as you are walking in the over world, you can see the monsters, the small ones will occasionally run away while the more powerful ones will attack. I like this idea. There have been Console Pokemon games that are like this, but they haven't done one with the standard trainer version. I wouldn't like it if the battles were too "freestyle", maybe make it so there's a panel of 9 blocks on your side of the field and you can control the Pokemon to move to any block. When an opposing Pokemon attacks, the attack will be directed to a random block. That block would feel the full effect of the attack, blocks that are touching that one will feel a small amount of the attack, and blocks that aren't touching would avoid the attack


I personally feel this kind of battle with blocks would be great, why didn't I think of this sooner?

I saw an online game of Pokemon similar to what you are describing. The last time that I saw it was in a demo version and I think that it is still in process right now. It was basically like Pokemon in Skyrim and it had Pokemon soundtracks in orchestra. It was so awesome! I think that website that I went onto is congregate.com or kongregate.com or something similar to those. I don't really remember at the top of my head.

I have to admit this is an extremely interesting concept for a Pokémon game I would like to see this however I think you should have a few new Pokémon, a way to catch all legendaries an starters without having to use gts these are just little ideas that I think would look cool

latias900 : I agree I think not being able to catch all the starter Pokémon in even today's Pokémon games is just stupid, its a dumb gimmick so you have to buy all the other versions so you can trade them over, its dumb.

Have you looked at that online game that I told you about yet?

This idea sounds very interesting, it would take a good amount of time to find out what system to put it on, how online could work, and just working out the kinks that would be in the game.  But still an amazing idea that would play out to be very fun and interesting.  Hopefully would be fully online like how Destiny is. And just pass by other real life trainers and get to trade in field and battle easily enough, maybe even team up with other trainers to do double or even triple battles together.  It would also have to have a good form of communicating with the other players so they could easily know what you are talking about.  Maybe even have cross platform compatibility.  But good idea to start and hopefully one day it could be a real game.
