Have you ever had the feeling, What would it be like to be in the Second World War? If you haven't then you should buy the game Medal of Honor: Airborne, if you have, then this is the game for you. You are Private Boyd Travers, a new recruit in the Paratrooper Squad. You are part of the 82 Airborne Division. The Elite, the Navy Seals of World War II. Although this is experimental, you have many missions, and they are packed a large variety of weapons for you to try. You can use a normal rifle, a "Tommy Gun" also known as the Thomson... That gun is my personal favorite. And even some sniper rifles... You get to carry two guns, and a pistol, you can pick up your enemies guns as you go, but can only carry a total of two rifles, and one pistol.

You can play from the time you drop out of the plane, and you can complete any mission in any order you want to. So if you want to do the harder ones first you can go to that spot on the map, but the game is FAR from Open- World... It does have a variety of things that get old, such as exploding stuff. You plant explosives on things in most every mission. But getting to those spots can be fun. If you die during the mission you get dropped again, and get to fight off the same soldiers, but with the objectives completed that you already did. (Which I like.) They say they have hidden weapons in every level, and when they mean hidden, they did hide them... I don't know how many/ if any I have discovered.

Plot and Story: 4/10
Although the game is fun to play, there is little to no story. It is the stereo-typical shooter game. Run and Gun. Fun, and you even complete missions or locations that actually took place in the Second World War. This is fun, but a good motivating story, or plot twist would be fun...

Graphics: 6/10
The game has good graphics, but they have some glitches... Such as the people in the distance often walk with their legs in awkward positions, like having them crossed, one in front of the other. No biggy, but it does take off of the points it would get for the Graphics. They did a good job with textures, and even did a good job of animating the soldiers that are up close to you.

Controls and Gameplay: 9.5/10
Why does this not get a full 10 you ask, well because the controls are a little unusual. You don't walk then you look down the scope, you lean, crouch, or stand up... You have to press the "Shift" button to walk, which makes it a little weird to use, at first. Once you get used to that, you shouldn't have any problems using this game. They did a good job of the leaning, and it is really helpful. Looking down the scope also helps your accuracy. Not to mention that I have no problems with lag, or sudden movement of enemies when you are sniping. The game has AMAZING smoothness, and if you want a good shooter, but don't want to go to the really big games like Call of Duty, then this is a good game to go to.

Sound or Music: 8/10
I would give the game music a higher rating, but the same music over, and over again gets a little old. I like the music, it has a nice soundtrack, but I wish they would have spent more time making unique songs for each level.
The guns sounds are cool, and you even have some German, real German, it sounds like the people were native German Speakers, the English is also good. They did a good job of making sounds for the guns, the voice acting is really good, and Authentic. Overall this game has good music and Amazing sounds.

Depth:
I won't give a rating, because the game doesn't have amazing story depth, because there really isn't much of a story. The game is really well done, but I wouldn't play the game for unique story or anything.

Difficulty: 8/10
The game was challenging for me, but I have only played a few shooter games, so I can't say that it is surprising. I died in most every level, except the first few, those were easy. But on the last level, I died at least ten times without getting much done. I didn't even get the objectives done. So the game is hard, for me, but not hard to the extent that it is stupid, or not fun to play. I liked the game.

Addictiveness: 7/10
The game wasn't hard to stop playing, but I love playing it, I have played 9 hours and have reached, what I think is, the last level. It is fun to play, and I would definitely play it again, and again. I wouldn't give it a higher rating, because I wasn't in to the game, to the extent, that I needed to continue playing. I played because I wanted to, and I stopped with ease...

Overall/ Summery:
The game is really fun, it has a few levels, but you can upgrade your weapons, find hidden weapons, and even do some multiplayer. I haven't checked this out yet, as I like to play with friends, more than random opponents. The game has much to offer, and is really cool, and a unique set of stuff, that sets it apart from my other games, in my steam library.

darthyoda : This is a really good review, one of the best that I have seen on the site. I'm going to put this up as an A review in the Directory. As for the game, never played any of the games frm this series.

I remember playing this game. I've never been into any Medal of Honour games, but this game i found to be a fair bit entertaining. Of course, warfighter ruined the series for me. As for the review, it's pretty good. You have loads of detail and you did a good job of dividing it up. Keep up to good work.
