In my opinion I would have to say that Confusion would be the most annoying of the status conditions due to the fact that each of the conditions could easily be cured however if you were to be confused it would make you even more open to attacks and AI's sometimes often spam the confusion in order to stop you from attacking. Even though each of the other conditions are equally annoying I find that Confusion is at the top of my list of annoying conditions.

I'd say that poison is the most annoying. While confusion is bad, it is much easier to get rid of, since you lose it after a battle or even switching out. And the lasting effect of poison outside of battle, although apparently that isn't in the newer games. But it is still pretty annoying to fight off, especially toxic poison, since the amount of health you lose each time grows every turn.

Confusion, because I swear there is a secret note on that condition
One that changes the percentage chance your Pokémon will hit itself to 100%
But only when the affected Pokémon is owned by...me.
I once had a double battle where I opened with confusing both of his Pokémon
He responded by confusing both of mine.
Over the course of the next 4 turn, My Pokémon hit themselves everytime
His Pokémon, the moves all went through just fine

Confusion. You just sit there, and hope your move works. If it doesn't, then you lose half of your health, as if it were full. So freaking annoying.

Razor-987 : Confusion.
It's so annoying because I always hit myself while doing this! I hate punching myself over and over again! I don't know why I do it! Ugh, and that's why sometimes I think I'm too powerful for my own good. I loose most of my health when I keep electric shocking myself.
That's all I need to say about Confusion, overall it's an annoying status condition.

Yeah I would have to give it to poison as well because even though it may not seem like much at first, you loose a little more hp each turn which really adds up, and in a couple of turns you might just find yourself fainting if your opponent doesn't finish you off. Confusion can be just as bad though, I've had cases where I've been confused at full Hp and I end up taking up to a third or more of my own hp each time I hit myself. In the end, they can both be equally frustrating in their own way.

In my opinion poison is the most annoying. It used to be EXTREMELY annoying when your Pokemon would faint if you couldn't get it to pokemon center fast enough now it ends when it has 1 hp remaining.

Freeze. For every other status condition, there's a move specifically designed to inflict it.

You want to inflict Burn? Use Will-O-Wisp.
Confusion? Confuse Ray.
Poison? Toxic.
Sleep? Hypnosis.
Paralysis? Thunder Wave.

However, there is no move specifically meant for inflicting Freeze status. That basically means that you have to get lucky with an Ice-type move to inflict it. And luck is something that I never want to rely on in a Pokemon battle. Or anything at all, really.

But if you DO somehow get inflicted with Freeze, it doesn't wear off. Paralysis and Confusion at least give you a 50% chance to move, and even Sleep wears off after a while. You can't rely on it to hit, but if it hits you, stick a fork in you, you're done.

Well, to me any status condition is very annoying (Poison, Sleep, Burn, etc.) It irritates me if any of my Pokemon sustain any kind of status ailment.

Poison - Your Pokemon loses HP slowly throughout the battle. I also hate Poison because of its outside effects: slowly draining your Pokemon's HP every few steps you take. Then before you can ever make it to the Pokemon Center, your Pokemon possibly faints. Poisoned Pokemon are not fun to deal with.

Sleep - Nothing is really wrong with this outside of battle. Just during battle when you're trying to attack your opponent and they put you to sleep, that really irks me because then you have to waste supplies on waking it up and possibly having to heal it from damage it sustained from the opponent after waking your Pokemon up.

Paralysis - Being paralyzed is not fun as it greatly decreases the chance of your pokemon striking first and also can prevent you from attacking at all. Paralysis is just a pain in the rear end to deal with.

Burn - I dislike when my Pokemon get burned because in battle it slowly drains your Pokemon's HP AND lowers your Pokemon attack. So, this status condition would be horrible to sustain if you had a physical attacking Pokemon (Primeape, Conkeldurr, etc.)

Confusion - You know I should say this is my most hated status ailment. With being confused and possibly hitting yourself, that really irritates me the most. I mean, think about it, you try to attack and the Pokemon before you strikes first with a Confuse Ray, leaving your Pokemon confused and susceptible to striking itself at some point.

Freeze - Freezing isn't really all the bad unless your opponent gets a lucky hit with its Ice moves (Ice Beam, Blizzard, etc.) Other then that, I have nothing really against being frozen

Attract - This status is second on my list. Being attracted to the opponents Pokemon makes it difficult to land a move because they are SOOOOO in love >.> So I try to prevent that from happening by using a Pokemon of the same gender against my opponent.

Well, I have said what I had to say, so no I will take my leave

For me personally, I feel that paralysis is by far the most annoying status effect. It always gets on my nerves about the effect is impossible to wear off, but that is only a problem if you are unprepared. Also, it can be annoying knowing you can beat the certain foe but you never get a chance due to the paralysis effect.

Most annoying status in my opinion is confusion+paralysis when someone uses that Thunder wave and  Swagger combo.

In my opinion, the most annoying status condition is probably poison, especially with toxic, just gradually keeps getting stronger and sucks when you have low HP.

Confusion annoy me the most,i know that if we switched a confused Pokemon with a different one in your party that it well go away ...but sometimes my other pokemon are injured or there types won't be a good match to the Pokemon i am battling  and yeah.

I think that happened to me the most when i am starting a new game...i won't had catched a lot of different types at that time.

Too bad multi-voting is disabled, because my experience with the RNG has led me to believe that the worst is... ALL OF THEM.Through my experiences with Pokemon:

Confusion leading to self-inflicted damage five turns in a row
Freeze lasting 11 turns
Burning 4 or 5 times from moves like Flamethower in the same battle
Being Paralyzed 7 times in a row
Getting poisoned from literally everything
Sleep lasting 7 turns
Being KO's by a Pokemon 35 levels under mine because I couldn't attack due to Infatuation for an entire battle.

Every time one of my Pokemon gets inflicted with a status condition, I seriously want to throw the nearest person out the window.

I hate the burn ailment the most. My teams in the games are built around Attack, as I use Pokémon who are very high in that stat. So when they get burned, it severely hampers my battling ability. I'm fine with most others, except for Infatuation. My first game was Crystal, 3rd Gym, 'nuff said.

At first I chose sleep. It's really annoying if you can't wake your Pokémon to fight the other Pokémon. But then I thought about it. Poison hurts your Pokémon each turn and out of battle. They changed it in generation V but still, it's really annoying when your Pokémon dies while you're walking around trying to get to the Pokémon center. Especially for those people who were new and only focused on training one Pokémon. That meant if you accidentally run into a trainer while going to the Pokémon center, the only Pokémon you would probably have alive with you are those Pokémon who are 20-30 levels under your top Pokémon. That makes for a very difficult fight. I answered the poll with sleep, but I'd change it to poison if I could. Peace .

Probably the most annoying status condition is sleep. The foe gets to beat you up until your Pokémon wakes up. And plus, the foe can use nightmare to take even more damage to you.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
