This is an awesome update for those who take and submit screenshots with the RGR Plugin, so awesome that I don't even know where to start lol.

This update is to the screenshots page that you click on a game's page when you want to add screenshots to a game's page or if you want to edit your old screenshots.

Staff : Since this benefits all of you, I figured I'd summon you all.


Functionality and Appearance
The look is way different now and in my opinion, far more attractive. Now you get to see a lot more screenshots at once and you add and edit screenshots by clicking them. Once clicked, you'll be brought to a separate page which will allow you to edit the details like you normally would before.

Faster and less strain
This new page loads so much faster than the old one, especially if you have a lot of screenshots for a specific game. For example, in the game 'Hook', I have nearly 75 screenshots in my screenshot manager and before it'd take up to 20+ seconds to load, now it takes less than a second.

No longer display the wrong screenshots
It'll no longer display screenshots for the wrong games. This was an uncommon problem but sometimes the old page would display screenshots of games with the same name but for different systems. Unfortunately doing this update resulted into screenshots taken 2+ years ago to no longer display on the screenshot manager page. The only way to edit really old screenshots is if you already submitted them to the page and if so, you can click the 'Edit Screenshot' link next to those screenshots. This update was announced months ago as seen here and was also announced a year before that announcement as well, I just finally got around to doing it.

Can edit individual screenshots from game's page
When you're looking at your screenshots on the game's page, you'll now be able to edit them right from the game's page without having to even bring up the screenshot manager page.

Staff can now edit screenshots with more control
Staff members now have access to all of the options that users have when it comes to editing screenshots.

Character tagging problems resolved
The problems that users were having with tagging characters in screenshots should be fully resolved.

So....I tested this out and I may say its much better in a way. Though I need to make sure I get it right lol. some people have been saying such about the screenshots, of how its not uploading for them. And UFC is one of them, so I can happily tell him this. And I hope it works out for him too.

Davideo7 : David i think the character profile may have broken itself again though. While adding stuff the drop bar stopped working again.

Davideo7 : Is there anyway for us to edit the characters?
I have seen an error with one character (Samus Aran [Tetris]) and I am sure there are others.

Eniitan : This probably wont fix his uploading problem unfortunately.

mourinhosgum : Please explain more thoroughly what you mean, maybe even take a screenshot for me.

vanelan : Yeah the staff can edit characters from the character profile pages. Now the only way to get to a character's profile currently is by finding a game that they've been tagged in and than clicking their name. I'll eventually make a master list which will allow users to browser through all characters.

Davideo7 : Well now i can't even take a screenshot because it angrily tells me i do not have permission to edit it even though i haven't uploaded it yet.

I see.....well to even out the odds. I had this same problem on my laptop before it died. So its working on my mothers laptop which is strange for me....I told him to try and use a different laptop, or computer to see if that helps...

Davideo7 : I am having a problem uploading my screenshot.

I've taken a picture in the game Star Fox, then went to Star Fox's game page to click on the "Retrieve, Add or Update your Screenshots" link. Then, I click on one of my screenshots (I took three), and I get sent to this page:

"You do not have permission to edit this screenshot!"

Do you know what's wrong? I've been uploading and editing screenshots just fine an hour ago...

Congo! : Same here man. Since it's a new feature the script is probably a little messed up. David was probably a little too tired since its 4 AM for him!

I've been working on the site almost non stop since Sunday night, I guess the mental strain is starting to get to me lol.

Davideo7 : Don't know if it's just SMB three... But it won't work for NES games. Also, why is it so angry?

Eniitan : Sadly I've actually done that before, worked so much on the site and lacked so much sleep that I actually got sick lol.

I'll probably take it easy over the next few weeks, probably only put 30-40 hours into the site per a week during that time compared to the 50 hours I put into it last week and the 60 hours I'm projected to put into it this week.

Davideo7 : Sorry, I spoke too soon. While I can still edit my Star Fox screenshot that I just added, I cannot add the other two shots that I took. Also, attempting to add a Sonic the Hedgehog 2 screenshot gave me the same error message as before. I guess there are still a few kinks to work out in the new submission screen...?

Davideo7 : NES doesn't work for me but just might be the laptop im using. I'll tell you in the morning if it works on my desktop.

The message me and congo got was "You do not have permission to edit this screenshot!"   The ! Makes it sound really angry for some reason.lol

Hey David, I can't access my stored screenshots for a game anymore. It just shows the following link when I try to click the "Click here to retrieve, add or update Screenshots" button.

I can edit existing individual screenshots perfectly fine, though. There's a link on them that should allow me to go back to a list of all other screenshots I submitted for the game, but it only pops out the thing I linked.

I went ahead an took a screenshot of the title screen of that game about a few minutes ago, but it still give me that message.
