Or another possibility would be to make it on a specific day of the week like, like on a Sunday. I guess the problem with that idea though would be that the Sunday could end up being the 1st or last day of the month which would suck.

Davideo7 : I am with you on evening them out, but, the Tour de Vizzed has it's own unique style. I do not think there should be any breaks. I do think, though, that to make this more interested, add the old 2 jerseys back, BUT, you are only allowed to go for 4 jerseys a day, therefore, you would have specify by a certain time of day what you would be going for.

Honestly, I think that the old green jersey was a really bad idea. Not only did it encourage you to make quick posts instead of taking your time and thinking about them, it was also the only jersey that was based only on one hour instead of the entire day.
