Welcome, everyone, to an insane challenge! This used to be a competition on GameFAQs, and I'm bringing it here! The goals:
- Get as many stars as possible, or as many as you can get.
- Beat the game.
Here are the rules:
- No coins can be collected or produced (from enemies, Bowser's flame, or running around a pole).
- No 1-ups can be collected or even activated.
- No collecting any "hidden number" from sets of 5. Sets of 4 from chests are okay.
- No pressing any types of switches (cap switches, purple switches, etc.)
- No opening or blasting from any cannons.
- No use of warp spots.
- Never lose your cap.
- Caps cannot be used aside from the end cut scene.
- Orange "!" boxes cannot be opened unless a star is inside.
- NO DEATHS!
- No taking damage except from high falls and water. You can recover health from water surface and/or spinning hearts.
- No activating the motion of any moving platform unless it is already moving. Platforms you can't get on include: Up/down elevators that activate when you stand on them, logs, the arrow lifts in Wet-Dry World, the arrowed platform in Bowser in the Sky, and the Donut Lifts and carpets in Rainbow Ride. The trap in Lethal Lava Land's volcano is okay. (Just don't stand on it!)
- No using any water-level changers (AKA Crystal Taps) in Wet-Dry World.
- Dorrie (the underwater sea-dragon in Hazy Maze Cave) cannot be touched, nor can any penguin.
- Excluding scenes at the start and end of the game the only characters you can talk to are Bowser and MIPS the rabbit. Any other characters (including Toads) cannot be talked to. That includes Lakitu, so you must Lakitu Skip. However, levels like Bob-omb Battlefield and Whomp's Fortress have text boxes that appear at the first time you enter. Those are okay.
- No going in any updrafts. Side drafts are okay.
- No enemies can die, even if it's not your fault. That includes enemies walking off an edge. The only exceptions are Spinies (the shells that Lakitu drop). You may only continue if they land on NORMAL platforms (that you can walk on without glitches).
- No coming into combat with any enemy except for Bowser and MIPS the rabbit (if catching him is considered combat).
- No use of pipes in Tiny-Huge Island.
- 15 stars must be acquired before Dire, Dire Docks, and the star "Board Bowser's Sub" must be collected. (AKA: No DDD Skip)
- You can use any version of the game (except the DS version). For people using the Vizzed emulator, no use of savestates and/or cheats.
- Hacks are FORBIDDEN.
- No intentionally touching the power cord or cartridge in any way (for N64 users).
- If any rules are broken, restart you console or emulator. Deleting your file is not necessary.

So, go on out there and see what you can do!

OH HELL NO!!!!!!!!This is just plain insane. No way would I remeber all these rules much less follow them! But I applaude anyone who completes this. Also this could take hours.

I would advised you edit the post so there is more original content, like tips and tricks, strategys, ect. Since I see your reletivly new here (welcome btw), I'm not going to summon mods. SuperViperT302 : A copy and paste threa is where most of the content originated from another site (whether or not is was copy/pasted or hand copied.). You said it yourself that this came from gameFAQs, so even if you did actually use copy/paste, it is still a copy/paste thread.

Oh wow, that's a lot of requirements in the challenge. I think I would end up trying to memorize and remember the rules like bigger0gamer. I would pretty end more crazier than me playing Kaizo Mario 64. However, I would like to see someone try to complete this challenge.
