Okay  so like, generally I've been playing Pokémon Ruby a lot recently so I had the controls set up like B for speed and A for A and the up/down/left/right buttons all for moving but then the b key is  stuck somehow but it's only stuck with the controller because obviously it's not stuck when typing and it's confusing me and I just want to be able to play my frigging game! How do I fix this?

Honestly is sounds like an old-fashioned case of sticky button. Maybe you were eating ice cream and playing at the same time and got liquid sugar down inside the controller and now the button (on the circuit board) is stuck.

Back in the day, we used to just put a drop of household oil around the base of the button and then push it rapidly.

My only other suggestion, is that if it is actually something wrong with the game, try restarting your browser.

Does anyone else that's reading this have an opinion on my oil suggestion? Is it still the best quick fix for sticky button?

I have no idea phantom. I've never tried that or even thought of trying it.  O.o

Honestly, I think there is one more solution, though it's only a solution to the game play and not for the actual key.  You could just always reset all the controls and NOT pick the button you think is sticking..

It may have toggled fast forward.

Press the speed button (I suppose B in this case) again and see if that returns it to normal.
