I guess it just came out. So has anyone here played it yet?

Since I love South park, dark humor and roleplaying games it sounds like it could be just my thing. But who knows if its playable. The reviews I read were promising though.

The problem is its relatively short and has little to no replayability. Yet It's 40 quid ((ike 66 euros. Does Finland use euros, I can't remember).

I haven't really played it myself yet, but I've seen lots of it.
It was a risky concept to make it an RPG, but I think they did it perfectly right; and knowing South Park, this couldn't be an RPG without being a huge parody of the genre, which makes this even more enjoyable.

Also, the graphics couldn't be better for a South Park game. I'm glad that the game doesn't have 3D-graphics, that would've possibly ruined much of the South Park atmosphere. It looks just like in the series.
Same with the humor. Well, actually it seems that the dark humor of the game is 120% of the dark humor in the series. Because they put all the controversial, provoking topics and all the exaggerated stuff into one game, along with thousands of references to episodes.

When I found out about this game, I wasn't excited for its release at all, but from all the things I've seen from it now, I think I would've been, if I knew them earlier. This game is awesome. *cough*

I actually own this game for pc. Let me tell you my opinion. If you are a fan of the show then you will enjoy this game very much. The narrative is dark and humorous. The characters act as they do on the show. The graphics you wont mind if you are a fan of the show because it looks exactly like you watching the show on an HDTV. Ok now the gameplay is like your controlling the show because you move exactly how the characters from the show move (bobbing from side to side). Now the RPG mechanics are an OK touch and Turn Based RPG fans should like that very much. You can level up and purchase skills which you may use in battles. In battle its basically a Turn Based RPG where you select your commands and skills etc. It's a nice game for South Park fans who like RPGs but if you dislike RPGs I doubt you will stick around for the entire game.

Brigand : Well what you wrote looked sarcastic to me, because of the smaller text and the three periods (as in "As if graphics were important."). Either that or that you'd expect them to be not good. Sorry, if I misinterpreted that. ^^'

But anyways, I'm pretty sure it's a good game; not perfect, but really worth to play through.

I have watched some short videos on the gameplay, and the lengthy trailer videos. It looks very interesting to me. I want to play through it. I was actually considering just paying the price. But that was because all the videos gave me the implication that it was going to be a long and in depth RPG. But if it is fairly short, that would definitely be a drawback for me. I'll look into that. If it is short, I will wait for it to drastically drop in price.

I have heard from quite a few people that the replay-ability is actually very high. From what you said I think you will enjoy the game very much. I actually have yet to hear a bad opinion on this game

I bought this game on release day.

It has everything you want in an RPG, really good gameplay, a spectacular soundtrack, addictive, and most of all, charming.

It's absolutely hilarious at all times, and if you liked anything about the show, or like the RPG genre, its very much so worth playing.

It has a lot of references to other games, and episodes of the show itself.

Having a full free roam of a town I always enjoyed before the game is something beautiful.

Only downsides are that there's not much to do when you're done, and its relatively short for an RPG (12-15 hours long). I am on my 5th playthrough, so I find it very replayable.

Brigand : If your a fan of the show you'll love it I watched a lets play of it no i doesn't seem to have to much replayable ness and if you do 100% it you'll have like 15hours which is short for RPG now a days but what you really need to think about it as is its basicly like playing threw two box seasons of southpark you really feel like your playing the show not a game you feel like part of it show also not just some important no named no face person even those you person only has one line in the entire game (won't say what it is lol or when but yea one line and its epic just know that) If you hate south park no don't get it but if you do yes get it 100% it is worth the money they took their time and made a great game outside of the gross that is southpark it is a solid RPG game play and such is really their the combat is real and you need to think and do things you can just button mash A till its over you need to act to each fight. The game is fairly easy so you may want to play on a higher difficultly from the start and unless you skip all the side quests you'll be plenty powerful if not your going to be spamming items a lot one big down fall of the game is you only have 15 levels as in your guy not parts of the game and if your doing everything you'll be level 15 probably around one to three hours before the end of the game. Its not a big deal but it is to be said. At the end of the day if you like south park you will enjoy the game OH NO GREEN GOOOOO I HAVE TO... GOOO...

Brigand : I'll break it down in a bit more detail no spoilers just combat only

they have status effects like grossed out (lose hp every turn and can't use food (aka items) so you can heal or such only to cure the grossed out) you have bleeding that can stack in this chase up to 5 times doing more % damage a turn so it never isn't good because its % damage not like 200 at max it can do over 2000 if the boss has enough hp. So you have stuff like that

you have spells (4 kinds) throw-able weapons(reusable) Your normal weapon some type of melee from virbraters to mid-evil maces. You can use your basic attack in one of two ways you can A do a combo attack (with timed hits) to do more attacks to break down things such as shield's) shield's being a power effect giving you 1-9 (I believe 9 is max) that no matter what hits you you take 1 damage and lose one shield so power attacks are useless you want mult hit attacks(status effects do go on shield or not so you can bleed or gross out a shielded unit) when they have no amour or shield's you can use your basic attack but do a power attack (also later on you can combo your passive magic skill with your basic power attack for more powerful magic attacks at no cost just for different types of attack) Which you need because emenmies can repost which will block and return damage to your basic attacks of any kind reflect which block and return damage from thrown items theirs 2 other types of stands also that I can't recall what they do but in all 4 I believe so you need to use a thrown item or power attack or combo attack for each enemies so it never just becomes press A to win. Also some have armor not shield's just over all armor from their items you have attacks to cut it down (typically 50%) again most powers in this game run on % so they never become useless. The items are funny like a revive is a taco and heal items are like bags of chips and stuff XD

theirs more also that's just what I remember off the top of my head also you can get slotted weapons (I believe 2 max maybe some mega weapons have 3 slots they seems to be room for 3 be I myself never saw it) the slots you add gem like things(I believe their stickers in the game) that add like bleed or gross out or extra % damage on 1st turn or plus 50 attack etc etc element damages and they are from level 1-15 (15 being max overall level for everything) so they also never become weak as long as you get the higher level ones for your higher level stuff also you can add this to all your items not just weapons thrown and cloths also. From a RPG stand point The Stick Of Truth is a amazing game and its really just do you like south park or do you hate it? ( I never seen them to to much) but you can also outside of magic 2 basic attacks combo with both thrown items and such you have class skills and summons you can get from side quests like JESUS and hes AWESOME.

other parts that are nice is stuff you fight have smart A.I. Like the build tanker with shield's on is in front of the magic or archer so you have to use real ways to pick off the weak behind or just try to power house threw (which is harder to do early on)

The only real issue you might not like is you can only have one person on your side fighting with you (aka butters(who is the best) cartman etc etc) while you can be fighting 4 others I believe up to 6 max not that it makes the game harder by any means but you'll kinda just always need or want butters cuz he heal and class skill are both epic and overpowered you can use each buddie outside of combat to do things to solve puzzles so if you get stuck in the over world you might need to switch out buddies as a heads up but it would be nice to fight with more then one buddie at a time but outside of that the game plays great feels great no buggy parts or issues if you hate this game it is 100% because you hate south park or video games. Hope you get it and have a blast

I sooo want to play this game, but at the moment I don't have the funds for it. However, I saw so many hours of gameplay on Youtube and it's easily the craziest games I have ever seen. It's so dark and basically evil. I can't wait to try it out myself.
