If you have no idea of what I'm talking about, check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_4iwfo3fiU#t=116

It seems Starfish, the developer of the?GBA version of the same game?(and holder of it's license, I suppose), is making a downloadable version of this obscure gem for the 3DS and will release it in Japan in March 19. It'll include upgraded graphics, 3D backgrounds (since the original had tons of parallax scrolling, this will work brilliantly IMO), replay saving and "upgraded" music (I put it between double-commas because the original Genesis/Mega Drive soundtrack is sincerely much better).

So yeah, Steel Empire still lives through remakes. It'll probably be one of those games that shows up on the eShop's "New Games" list and gets forgotten afterwards, but it's a nice thing to see this game remembered in any way. I just don't know why they decided to release yet another remake instead of a fully-fledged sequel or just an emulated re-release of the 16-bit original. Maybe they're inspired by SEGA/M2's SEGA 3D AGES releases? Who knows.

So, are you getting it or not? I'll grab it when I can.
