The focus of the review is on my apologies, for one we haven't had a review since the stone age. Fortunately relinquish is back to running the show... but my second apology is where things get important...
I am so sorry Abomasnow...
Abomasnow is a, well, sensitive case. Basically he/she/IT has the potential of being a great addition to a team, but was cut short by game freak. Let me elaborate, starting with abilities. The ability Snow Warning brings hail to the battlefield for a few turns, but if Abomasnow were... lets say, FAINT (oh, we'll get to THAT later) unless you have a spare ice type you will be put down as well. It's hidden ability is Soundproof, which is actually pretty dang amazing. If a move involves using sound, you won't be affected. Growl and Screech? NOPE. Supersonic? NUH UH. FRIGGEN HOARD OF TYMPOLE!?!? BABAM!!!!!!!... I may have gotten carried away... i really hate Tympole... ANYWHO let's just see the stats...
HP 90
Attack 92
Defense 75
Sp. Attack 92
Sp. Defense 85
Speed 60!?
WHY PUT SPEED SO LOW!? IT ALREADY HAS A TOTAL OF 494!!!
... I can explain...
Being a grass ice type it has 4x weakness to fire and 2x damage to rock, bug, flying, steel, fighting, and poison. While bug and flying can be worked around THATS ALOT OF PAIN. It doesn't help it has low defense and speed. Lookit me, I CARE ABOUT SPEED!!! Abomasnow what have you done to me...
Starting as Snover it learns Leer (we all know Leer) and Powder Snow, the freezing ice equivalent of water gun, bubble, ember, etc.
Lvl. 5 Razor leaf: 55 power and 95 accuracy also has a high crit. ratio
Lvl. 9 Icy Wind: Weird... has the same stats as Razor Leaf... except it slows down the enemyyyy...
Lvl. 13 Grasswhistle: Put's foes to
sleep, useful if you pull it off to use some of the good moves you learn later on.
Lvl. 17 Swagger: Half the time the punch themselves in the face, other half they attack with raised attack, ouch.
Lvl. 21 IT EVEN LEARNS MIST!?!?!?
Lvl. 26 Ice Shard: Quick entry, it's Quick Attack but frozen just wanna get through this.
Lvl. 31 Ingrain: A. it restores HP but B. you can't leave the battle, aww crap. .__.
Lvl. 36 Wood Hammer: A whopping 120 power and 100 accuracy! Sounds amazing, but you lose some major HP. Sadly I only now realize with Abomasnow how much you need things.
After evolving...
Lvl. 47 Blizzard: Sadly it was watered down in gen 6, 110 power and 70 accuracy, also may freeze. Good! Now we don't need Powder Snow!
Lvl. 58 Sheer Cold: The ultimate card, as I mentioned b4 if the target is lower leveled than you, you get a 30% chance of INSTA-DETH... oh I forgot for a second... we're talking 'bout the big grassy furball...
YOU KNOW WHAT FORGET IT! FORGET THE TM'S AND EV'S AND MY RECOMMENDATION! You know what I recommend for Abom? A TRASH CAN!!! *disclaimer I only say this about Abomasnow because it could have been great but isn't special at all*
Well congrats game freak, you broke me... now what?
?→
SWEET CHRISTMAS YOU DID IT!!!
Ok ok... um, STATS!
HP 90
Attack 132
Defense 105
Sp. Attack 132
Sp. Defense 105
Speed... 30
Total: 594
Conglomerations guys, you made a relatively awesome yet worthless poke
man awesomer than ever. I salute you.
Well now I guess I can recommend it, but I guess I'll skip TM's for this one. I would put 250 in attack and sp. attack and the rest in sp. defense. For moves, get Frost Breath or Blizzard as first, Energy Ball or another alternative for Wood Hammer second, KEEP SHEER COLD XD, and find a move you want as your final move! The nature best for Abomasnow is either brave or quiet, raising attack or sp. attack and lowering speed, also a characteristic involving intelligence or being brash, cause those often mean more sp. attack or attack. Well that's all for now, hope you can try fitting Abombom in your team somehow! And remember... Abomasnow fainted for your sins. Again, and again, and again.
