Hello guys, this is Kevinmonitor, and I'm making this strategy guide to tell you all about level grinding and where is the best area to do it.
Basically, you should all know what level grinding is. I'll just remind you. Level Grinding is training on an area or many areas and fighting lots of battles to level up your character. I usually do Level Grinding when someone in my party is underleveled at an area. A while ago, I ventured into the Sylvan Cave with a party of lv30-34s, but Rosa was only level 30 and could not learn Float to make the party safe from the.. green stuff that damages you as you stand on it. The results? After walking through a bunch of those green ooze blocks, my party got instantly KO'd because I got back attacked and everyone only had 300-500HP left.(yes, I did heal whenever my party got low on HP but I thought the cave only had Bog Witch and Mini Toads, so, I got arrogant.)
So, I need to level Rosa up to level 35 - 5 Levels. And that's not gonna be easy. Same goes for Mt. Ordeals. You've reached the Mom Bomb and ready for the fight, but unfortunately, Palom and Porom are only level 11-12 and can get KO'd easily.
I'm here to show you various good level-grinding areas.
First off, in the beginning of the game, Rydia starts at LV1 with extremely low HP/MP, and it's already obvious that the whole desert surrounding Kaipo is HER super duper level-grinding area. If you're lucky enough to get in the area's highest XP battle, Rydia might have been leveling up 2-3 levels! So, train her until she's level 10-12 and get her HP to the 100s - You can do it! Heck, you can level Cecil up a level or two there.
When you get Edward, he starts at Level 5 with 60hp. And the desert is also his ideal level-grinding area. You can even go back to the Waterfall Cave(where you fought Octomammoth) and train him up some levels, maybe level 12 would be good. I trained him to level 13. Neither Rydia or Edward's level-grinding sessions will take a long time. So just relax, and grind, using a Tent if you need to. Good luck with them.
As I've mentioned, you don't want Palom and Porom to be only level 11-12 when fighting Mom Bomb. So train them anywhere - The overworld, the forest or Mt. Ordeals, anything will be their good training areas. Mt. Ordeals is the most ideal though, you get around 800-1000XP there, so you can get them to level up 5-7 levels. I got them both level 18 when fighting Mom Bomb/Scarmigilione(whatever that guy's called).
When Cecil turns into a LV1 Paladin, TRAIN HIM FOR GRACIOUS SAKES. Seriously, it's just like level grinding Rydia, but SO much easier! In just less than 10 minutes, you have got Cecil to lv15-16, and I've got him to level 16 in 6-7 minutes or so.
I gotta go to school. Will update more. Hello guys, this is Kevinmonitor, and I'm making this strategy guide to tell you all about level grinding and where is the best area to do it.
