Being currently engrossed in the Heroes of Olympus series, I hate cliffhangers. I swear, Rick Riordan ends the books at the most crucial point just to royally piss us off.

Cliff hangers are not only used because of the marketing. There are some movies that needs them due to the huge amount of content they have and it would be impossible to make a 6 hour movie.
However, I think cliff hangers in books are really irritating.
