Luna is too distracted to rejoice their victory. "That braggart will return some time, like the fool he is..." She tries to pull her sword from being lodged up to the hilt in the ground. "Can someone assist me? I cannot lift it..."

Jabbin walks over to Luna and picks up her very heavy sword. "Ill hold it for ya." He clips it to his back along side his shield. Jabbin looks around at everyone, "when he comes back, he'd better hope I am dead or hurt enough for him to kill me. Next time I see him ill make sure he knows how strong we are!" 

Juilen wiped the sweat from his forehead as he walked over to Jabbin, and Luna. "Ugh, normally I wouldn't say this, but nothing would make he happier than to hit that guy upside the head with this thing..." Juilen reached a hand into one of his pockets and pulled out a few teeth that he got from the monster. "I suppose one day these might be useful."

Alex returned to the entrance of the tunnel. "How dare he...challenging me in such a manner. They should be grateful that I even let them into Walsko. That woman should've just died with all the trouble I've dealt with."

Alex noticed that a guard was gasping heavily, bleeding out. "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?" Alex ran up to the guard.

"That...that guy..." the guard responded, as he falls on his knees.

"What guy? Who did this to you? Tell me Blake!" Alex took out his sword. "Tell me...so that I can kill him."

"I think...I think...his name is..." Blake falls on his back, on the brink of death.

Alex got really frustrated. "WHO? TELL ME QUICKLY!"

Blake mumbled "Quhark." and then died.

Alex stood up. He carried Blake to the cemetery at the northern end of Walsko, where he buried Blake.

"I'm going to find them...and they will feel my wrath!"

Taking a left down the tunnel further away from the light on the other side of the cave, "Quhark man, do you know where we're going ? I'm getting sick of walking through tunnel after tunnel of nothingness." As Jamie trips over another rock falling to the ground. "I'm getting sick of this how much longer ?" Jamie falls to the ground due to tripping while his staff stay afloat. "Come on, how come you can hover while I fall ?" The staff leans down closer to Jamie and with a little flash of light, Jamie stands up and with two taps to the ground with the staff, Jamie begins to hover. Sending a thought to the staff, 'forward' I float forwards. "Hahaha. Finally something cool about this magic." Taking tunnel after tunnel, we see another tunnel with light at the end. "Quhark, mate, this the one ?"

"I sense a great anger. Hopefully it's not mine. You remember when we fought the guards? Something evil awaken inside me back then and converted all my strenght into speed. My evil form is fast as thunder and I am not even able to controll it. Anyway how about if we call our vroup "The Vitezek", in my language vitez means brave warrior and I think you all earned that, or have your own idea."

Quhark exits the tunnels then says: "Uh guys, we got a problem."
The sky was red, the trees were black and monsters(similar but smaller than the one we destroyed) were causing chaos all over the place.

ooc: looks like the entire family arrived to revenge their fallen one.

Toot scrunches his nose a bit, trying so hard to make the "right" decision. 

"I do not know this man. It is better to leave things as they are for now, until I can finally say that I trust him, and he trusts me." Toot ponders. 

"We are finally close to Eirabor. It's nothing really, sir. I am just worried guards will see through our disguise. That's all." 

"Haw haw, a genuine worry, but do not worry my friend! There are divine powers pulling our strings. Surely they will not cut our strings (too quickly hehe)." the old man replies. 

"I never got your name, did I...?" Toot asks. "If not, then may I ask what is your name?"

"The name's Eridor Whitesteel....I have not said my real name in such a while now...huh." 

"No...no...NO WAY! The White Slash?! You are such a famous rebel leader! Your father was a fore-bringer of justice, the original White Slash. You took the reigns of that title, but rumor had it that you were dead. How are you here?" Toot exclaims. 

"Ahh...does everyone think I am dead?...I shall tell you the story later...my absence surely must have lowered morale, has it not (unfortunately)?" sighs Eridor. 

"It really has. But now we should spread the news of your awakening! This will surely bring the morale high! We can surely def - " 

"No!..no, not this way. I am not fit to be the "Deliverer". That job is for someone else..."  Eridor interrupts. 

"Watch out!!"  A young lady with light blue skin and glistening snow-white hair runs by, but trips on a rock. 

"Oh! Here." Toot offers his hand to pull her up. 

The stranger takes out her bow, aiming right at Toot. 

"Wha - hey!" 

The stranger releases the bow, striking the monster that was in furious pursuit of her, about to pounce on the back of Toot. 

"Who are you?" Toot and the stranger ask simultaneously?

Is that good enough ? 

Wide eyed, Jamie stares with fear, at the family of chaos that we have just stumbled upon. "Umm, guys ?" No answer. "Guys ? I think we should run !," Jamie starts to back up to where everyone else is, "give me the word and we're out of here."

Juilen's jaw dropped and his eyes widened. "Uhh...I think we'd have a better chance going back, then probably around all of this." Juilen slowly took a step back.

Cross * Picks up rum bottle and takes a sip " Nonsense . Theh doon't look like much . A say we string em up by theh ear lobes a farce em to drink water while closing their nostrils . ..... I spent a lot a time in Ireland Studyin g torture techniques .... but if ya want to flee like little girls then I'll adhere .... " ( Cross has an Irish accentr so the speeling might be a bit off ) 

Sael, Juilen, Luna, Jamie, Quhark, Cross, and Jabbin

The group decides to stand their ground, and bravely fights off a few waves of the creatures, but it quickly becomes clear that there is no short supply of the fiends they are facing, as wave after wave issues forth.

"I think we would do good to retreat, and conserve our strength." Sael offers, obviously worried.

"I agree with Sael" Juilen answers "This is a waste of our time and energy, and we can't risk taking any further damage."

"Agreed. Let's retreat to the tunnels" Quhark suggests.

Once inside, Jamie manages to figure out how to use his magic to seal the entrance with an invisible shield, and after a few of the creatures try to get in, but fail, the rest congregate around the blocked entrance, as though waiting for the shield to drop.

"Well, what now? We can't go back out" Jamie says.

"Any idea how long this will hold?" Luna asks, as she tries to think of a plan.

"Not sure. I think we have a couple of hours, but that presence is pretty strong." Jamie answers.

"Well...I say we rest for a few minutes and see if they clear away." Luna answerrs after some hesitation. "There's no way for us to get out through Walsko alone, and that guy that brought us here obviously isn't going to help us anymore".

At Luna's advice, the group rests, and waits to see if the current situation clears up or not. After about a half hour, seeing the creatures continue to stick around, the adventurers decide to think of another plan.

"Well, we really have no choice" says Quhark "but to go back through Walsko."

"That would be suicide." Luna warns.

"Then what do you suggest? We sit here and wait for these... things to get in?" Quhark snaps.

"All I am saying is that there has to be a more logical plan, that" Luna is cut short, as the sounds of battle emerge from the town.


Alex

"Really? Right now, of all times?" Alex wonders aloud as he sees the army marching into Walsko. The gate had opened, which could only mean one thing: Exibus.

With no time to do anything else, Alex readies his blade, and runs to the front line of the guards that are now issuing forth from every house and building. Alex was proud of the troops. They were ready at any given time, and they were strong. He only hoped they could withstand the onslaught they were about to face.

"Ready?" Alex calls out to the army. "Attack!!!" The men run with one accord, bearing their arms, and fighting with all they have. The attack is met well however, and the war is soon in a deadlock.

Alex decides to hunt out Exibus, but as he searches, he spies the adventurers heading toward the troops. And in a moment's notice, he is at Jabbin's side.

"I should have known! You're helping Exibus!" He shouts. "You found our weakness, and helped him infiltrate! Well now you shall pay for your wicked doings, foul beast!"

"What? What the blazes is an Exibus?" Jabbin asks, but before he can get an answer, he finds himself under attack.

Amidst all of the confusion, the rest of the group is sucked into the battle, with Luna being double teamed by two soldiers from Walsko, Jamie facing off an Elite Soldier from Exibus' army, Juilen squaring off with a large man from Walsko who seems tough but rather dense, and Cross engaging two of Exibus' men.

(OoC: this is a plotline advancement only, not an actual battle. No damage will be taken, but tell us how the battle plays out. Also, neither Alex nor Jabbin may define an ending for their battle. Just make it look cool, and I'll finish it)


Toot

"Well if 'iss isn't the peculiar situation." Eridor says.

"I'm Cilia." The girl answers reluctantly. "That's all you need to know."

"I'm Toot, and that's all that you need to know" Toot replies, equally sarcastic.

"Well, Toot" Cilia answers, an obvious dislike for Toot already "What brings you to my town?"

"I'm...on official business, I cannot disclose that information." Toot replies, trying to fool her.

"You guards. You're all a bunch of cowardly followers." Cilia answers. "Can't even think for yourselves."

Now were it not for his need to remain in disguise, Toot would readily agree. Unfortunately he can't afford to blow his cover.

"Would you tell me, Ms. which way is it to the Eirabor jail?" Toot asks.

"Jail? You should know we don't have a jail." She answers, confused.

"Well I was sent here after a prisoner we delivered here yesterday." Toot answers, becoming somewhat anxious.

"Well you're probably too late. They opened the gates this morning." Cilia answers, as she dusts herself off.

"What gates, Ms?" Toot asks, not sure what to think.

"The beast gate. Today was the start lf the games. I'm sure all of the contestants are dead now though. It isn't often that someone makes it past the Gowle pack round." Cilia answers.

Without so much as a word, Toot runs for what he assumes must be the place where the competitions were held.


(OoC: Apologies for the less than amazing update. It's 3 am, and I'm on a borrowed phone that isn't too easy to type on. also, I apologize for any typos for the same reasons. I'll give a better update next time, I promise. Thanks for your patience.)

"WHY DO YOU NEED TO FIGHT US RIGHT NOW? ... Guys I feel weird!" Quhark starts turning into his evil form but before he shouts "Don't kill, Walsko, guaaAAAARGH."
The transformation is done and says Krahuq (his evil form)"Oh Exibus elites? I EXile the brain out of their heads."
With this sad Krahuq jumps at an Exibus soldier,knocking off the helmet and digs in his claws inside his head.

Alex lunges toward Jabbin with the obvious intent to kill. "YOU WILL DIE FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!"

Alex raised his sword into the air. "I'm going to finish you off once and for all. Then I'm going to kill Exibus!"

He shouted "Sword Technique No. 5! ELEMENTAL RAGE!" and swung his sword to the ground. A shockwave of elemental destruction was headed straight towards Jabbin.

Luna keeps stepping back, trying to avoid unnecessary violence, but the two men keep advancing on her. "Back you fiends! You need not fight us! Don't make me kill you!" She shouts at them, almost looking worried as they foolheartedly advance on her, still trying to attack. "Enough!" She shouts, pushing back at them, but with a small flash, they are knocked several feet away, onto their backs. "Cease your attack, else risk your life!" she says, standing over them with her sword pointing down, ready to impale. "I'll let you leave with you life if you retreat..." They both hesitate before fleeing, terrified.

Sael, Alex, Juilen, Luna, Jamie, Quhark, Cross, and Jabbin

Managing to avoid harming the Walsko soldiers, Luna is able to find a place off to the side, where she manages to remain unseen. She doesn't know who these two cities are really, nor does she know why they are fighting, and she isn't one to take a life without good reason.

"Better off walking away from this battle, knowing I've neither shed innocent blood, nor aided the wicked." She says to herself, as she watches from the shadows. "Besides, this battle isn't my own, so why meddle with it? Better to rest while I'm able."

Juilen soon realizes from his attacker's clumsy behavior, that he isn't the brightest foe that he has faced. Strong or not, fools aren't good fighters, and Juilen knows that his foe will soon make a wrong move, and so he waits on it. His break comes when the man lunges at him, blade extended at arm's length. Juilen dodges the poor attack, and delivers a firm enough knock to the head to knock the man out cold.

Jamie finds himself well matched, with this Elite soldier seemingly predicting his every move. Fortunately, Jamie knows smarts are just as important in battle as skill, and thinking quickly, Jamie taps the ground with his staff, causing him to hover around. The Elite is taken aback by this sight, and Jamie sees his opportunity. While his foe is still shocked, Jamie lifts his Staff, and brings it crashing down on the Elite's head, knocking him out, but sparing his life.

Quhark's foe is not quite so fortunate, and soon is left dead, and maimed beyond recognition. Were it not for the emblem on his left boot, one could not tell so much as which side he had been fighting on. His rage pacified, Quhark transforms back into his normal self, feeling drained, and wondering where all of the blood on him came from. He searches in vain to find his wound, and only after he turns around does he see what has happened. Quhark cringes at the site, and backs away from the battle, in hopes that he can avoid another moment like this one.


Cross fights like a madman, and soon incapacitates one of Exibus' men, and quickly puts on quite the display of skill against his remaining foe. The battle ends when the sword is knocked out of the soldiers hands, and Cross quickly impales him with his blade.

"Illuminous!" Sael shouts, and a bright flash, bright as the sun, shines in the guard's face, blinding him long enough for her to escape from the battle. She feels as though one who uses light magic ought to preserve life when possible, and slay only when absolutely necessary.

Jabbin finds himself engaged in a much more difficult battle, with the strongest foe he's faced yet. His skills and wits are enough to keep him in the fight however, and he manages to evade the initial attack. Jabbin charges in, and attacks, but Alex is hardly taken with such a simple attack, and plants a foot in Jabbin's gut. As Jabbin hits the ground, he instinctively rolls, causing Alex to plant his sword firmly in the ground. Jabbin takes his shield, and hits Alex upside the head with it, knocking Alex backward, and briefly disorienting him. As he comes to his senses, Jabbin is about to pierce his chest with his blade, which Alex narrowly evades.

The two keep fighting on, too evenly matched for either to get much of an upper hand for long, when finally their concentration is broken, as a house nearby bursts into flames. Exibus' men have begun burning houses, with the residents still inside.

If there's one thing Jabbin won't stand for, it's the harming of children, so as he hears children crying out inside of the houses, his rage takes over, and he flies into a blind rage. Before he even realizes what he's doing, Jabbin has slain fifteen of Exibus' men, and finds himself charging Exibus himself.

Alex can't believe what he's seeing. Even he wouldn't have believed Exibus would stoop this low. He also cannot believe that Jabbin is attacking Exibus and his men, rather than helping him.

"Maybe I've misjudged you, goblin" Alex says, almost under his breath. He then follows suit, and begins dealing death to all Exibus' men who are standing between he and Exibus.

Exibus, seeing the two men exhibiting such maniacal behavior, tries to run for it.

"Sword Technique No. 3! SHORUKEZIBI BARRIER!" Shouts an enraged Alex, and a barrier rises, trapping Exibus in a transparent arena with he and Jabbin, both of whom are out for his blood.

Seeing this, Exibus' men run in terror. The other adventurers, on the outside of the battle, begin helping the Walsko soldiers free the people from the burning houses.

After a few minutes of pulling children out of houses, Jamie hears the horrible sound of a man's life being taken, and cringes. Exibus is dead. Justice, yes, but Jamie still hated death.

After what seemed like only a few moments, almost as quickly as it had begun, the battle was over, the people were all safe, and the fires were extinguished.


Toot

Busting inside through the large wooden doors, Toot finds an empty arena, with blood everywhere, some hair, and someone's half-eaten shoe. The arena is surrounded by seats in rows. Such hideous things being observed as sport, turns Toot's stomach. He is almost glad for that feeling though, as it means there is still some humanity inside of him, and a regard for the sanctity of life. At least he know's he is more than a heartless killer now. His relief is short lived however, as he remembers that his sister had been taken here. Frantically, Toot searches the Arena, and he manages to find the holding cells for the "Contestants". They are all empty, and seeing them this way breaks Toot's heart. As he reaches the last cell, he looks in through the door's window and sees a young girl shivering in the corner, covered in blood and fur. Toot doesn't know if it's his sister or not, but he doesn't want anyone in this sort of situation. Quickly, Toot lifts the heavy Iron bar that is blocking the door, from it's hook slot, and pulls the even heavier door open.

Hearing the door creak open, the girl gasps in fear, sure that her time has come for another round of battle with the beasts. As she turns her head, Toot gets a good look at her face...

....It IS his sister! She's alive!

Alex panted. "It's over...it's finally over...Exibus is dead."

Alex turned towards Jabbin, and kneeled. "I apologize for my rash misjudgment of you. Thank you, for helping me repay my debt to Walsko."

Suddenly a man appeared, pointing his sword towards Alex. "To slay your own brother and successfully protected Walsko...I'm proud of you son."

Alex turned to see his father standing behind him. Alex stood up and hugged his father. "Thank you father."

Alex's father whispered to his son "Your debt has been repaid. You no longer need to protect Walsko. I'll take care of it from here on out."

Alex's dad shocked Alex when he plunged his sword into Alex's heart. Alex's father shouted "Sword Technique No. 6! HEALING CUT!"

Alex suddenly regained his strength and energy. He faced his father, pulled the sword out of his heart and said "Thank you."

He then turned to Jabbin. "Once again, I apologize for the rude comments I have said about you. As a reward for helping me defeat Exibus...I am willing to join you on whatever mission or journey you are on. So...will you allow me to?"

Quhark goes to Jamie and pulls him away from others so they can talk without the others paying much attention.

 "Jamie, you know magic, so can you tell me if I'm evil? Something is happening to me that is not normal. I just don't want to hurt anybody."

Jabbin looks over to Alex. "Yeah, you can join us." Jabbin dusts off some ash that is on his armor. He looks around to see if everyone is alright. Everyone seems to be ok, no missing arms or heads. "Where to now?" Jabbin says to no one in particular.

Toot drops his weapon and rushes towards his sister. He envelopes her with a hug and tears start to flow down his cheeks. Eridor smiles warmly, seeing the reunion. As he stands in the back round, he notices something peculiar about Toot's sister. Her pupils are a slight red, surrounded by a little black. 

"...is it a...IT IS!" Eridor says under his breath, then shouts. 

Toot's sister, frightened for a small bit, smiles devilishly and long finger nails start to grow. Her eyes begin to redden and blacken, and her features become more sharper and devilish. Her hair grows spiky, and she grows black wings. 

Eridor stabs the Toot's sister in the neck, going all the way through. The child's head rolls off. Toot quickly turns around and sees the horribly changed face of her sister. 

"What...what...what..." Toot looks dazed and confused.

"That was a hell fire harpie. Sent out by the evil king of the demons, Mardono. I have a feeling he's been watching you for a long time now. Maybe he thinks you are the one to destroy him. There was a prophecy about one to bring light upon the face of the king of demons. That would surely destroy the demon lord. There are several evil kings, the demon lord being one of the three. King of the demons, King of the dead, and King of everything evil. They all have separate plans it seems, but it looks as if the demon lord has taken an interest in you finally. If so, this is really a trap, and we should get out of here." Eridor explains.

"But...my sister.." 

"She is not here, it was just a trap!" 

Eridor grabs Toot's arm, hauls him up, and proceeds to run with Toot in tow. 

As they run passed the town gates, they run into Cilia again, wrestling with three guards. Eridor slays two guards cleanly, and Toot rather lazily kills the last one. 

"Why would you help me, you guard scum?" Cilia asks in a spiteful manor. 

"We aren't guards. 'Tis a disguise to help us escape our last predicament." Eridor explains. 

"Why should I believe you?" 

"Would there be any reason for real guards to help you? I would think not. Only elite guards slay their brethren when needed, and clearly we are not guards, definitely not elite ones for that matter! Why not join us, you may be a tremendous help with your bow and arrow skills. I trust you are not on the side of the Republic, are you?" Eridor asks. 

"..no. I wasn't on any side until guards killed my father. My mother ran away, but the guards hunted her down like she was prey....Fine, I'll join. But what's with Toot? He looks a little..down." 

"I do not think he'll be talking for a while. It seems that the girl he found in the cell was a hell fire harpie, and not his sister." 

"I didn't..know. I am sorry." Cilia says. 

"Do not worry. Let us be on our way." 

"Where to?" Cilia asks. 

"Who knows...where ever the divine rulers guide our strings." Eridor responds.
