Hello my fellow Vizzed Retro Game Junkies! Its your Cobra supporting comrade in arms brother Cujo ( " The Cobra " ) Cricket. Here to bring you a review of a game that caused un-countable kids at Show-Biz Pizza a.k.a ( Chuck e Cheese ) to throw massive temper tantrums, hissy fits and uncontrollable waves of tears. I know this for a fact, For I was one of the many G . I Joe snot nosed punk kid fanatics to do so. I can still remember when I got my grubby little hands on this retro arcade classic. It was my tenth birthday and I had my birth day party at the near by Show-Biz Pizza again for those of you who may not remember or even been alive at the time. That was what Chuck e Cheese Pizzas name in my day, with Billy Bob being the Star of the day and also he was what 25% of my nightmares were made up of as a child. Well, I spent just about all day playing this with my family and friends and still we were unable to beat this hulk of a game. Yet looking back on it, It was well worth the price for the time since the home gaming consoles could not hold a flame to arcade machines at the time. Plus you could be that sweet skilled gangster ninja " Snake Eyes ". You could also be that giant tower of a man known as " Road Block " . That sexy & sweet ginger who could snap a mans neck in a blink of a eye " Scarlet " . Need I even introduce the leader of G . I Joe? Heck, why not? The king of kings, The One Man Army, The Duke Of Dukes..... " DUKE ".
Graphics : 9 / 10
This game was truly one of the first games that blew my eye lids up over my head. It was as if I was able to play and control one of my favourite cartoons and one of its four characters. Two of which being my top two G . I Joe's ever Snake Eyes and also Duke ( not Nukem ). The cut screens were real smooth and nicely shaded. You really thought it was part of the Cartoon show in that time. The in game graphics were really no different in that case. You could tell where you were shooting at just about at all time other than when 3 or 4 + explosions went off on the screen at the same time. The Basic goons also look and felt as if they were more than just cannon fodder. I really loved how good and well done the Boss Battle Villains were. Felt and looked as if you were bringing down Cobra one goon at a time.
Sound : 9 / 10
If not for the sound I highly doubt this game would have been even close to as good as it really is. The guns shooting and things blowing up all around you make it sound as if you are on a real G . I Joe Battlefield. The Voice acting in this game match that of the cartoon from the basic " GO JOE! " Battle Cry to the Cobra Commander rambling on about taking over the world. The music matches the mood and flow of the game. With the higher tempo being that of the Boss Battles. It does sound if Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and G . I Joe have the same sound track for its arcade games.
Addictiveness : 9 / 10
They really needed the surgeon general warning for this destroyer of bank accounts and family's. Game play alone is very unique for back then and even now. Not to many games use this style of game play that is very similar to that of Contra on the Second stage of the game. Lucky for us we have Vizzed to play this game with out the need of a truck load of money to continue.
Story / Depth : 9 / 10
The word "Terrorism" in white text with black back ground starts you off with The Cobra Commander giving his troops a Hitler type of speech with hand and body movements that go along with it. Not any kind of ground breaking storyline, but a fairly good one for that of a kiddie cartoon of the 90s. It pretty much is that Cobra had launched a attack on the world and G . I Joe is called on to kill every and all Cobra goon. For a 90s arcade game you could not ask for more. Most people hardly ever get past the first mission without paying a good 2 or 3 dollars any ways.

cujocricket : This is a pretty good review, it's separated to where it needs to go and that's a good review, as for your word content, you got a good amount, but try to push it to 1,000 words (which I think you might be able to get in your future reviews), but still, nicely done with the review.

IgorBird122 : You need to remember one crucial fact about making reviews, length is not as important as quality. And it seems next to know one cares about quality anymore, at least when it comes to people who critique reviews such as this one. They all seem to focus on details that don't matter nearly as much and barely contribute anything of any real help to the author when what he really looking for is some solid advice, not the same few things people say in review comments.

cujocricket : This may fail summon but I'm not all too worried about it if it does because this is your thread.. I've never played the game so I wouldn't really know, but are you so sure that even though you are a big fan of it that the game really earned such high ratings. I didn't really see you mention anything negative about the game when it comes to most things. Again, I'm not saying that you are not doing anything along those lines, but are you remembering to look at the game from more than one angle and focus on both the positive and the negative aspects of this game? Again, I'm not saying you aren't or anything, I am merely asking.

Frodlex : Oh yeah, I forgot about that, it's not just on the word count in a review, it's the also on the detail that the user has put into this review and this user has put in a lot of detail, I can say about that, so yeah, good point.
